Try not to worry wrlg, the incorrect digi week number would freak me out too, but I definitely don't think you can expect that to be reliable if it isn't FMU, especially if you've been drinking a lot.

OTheHugeManatee · 18/05/2015 20:30

For people who like goat's cheese but want to stay away from mould rind ones, try the St Helen's Farm hard goat's cheese from Sainsbos. It's nice and goaty (Grin) but more like a Cheddar in texture and no mould issues Smile

ValancyJane · 18/05/2015 20:32

Brickie Not sure, but can eat it cooked as Cubano said, so that's something. I usually have my chorizo with sweet potatoes and halloumi, mmm hungry now!

parsnipbob · 18/05/2015 20:33

My FMU is shit. I got a barely there line at 11dpp with FMU but very strong lines in the afternoon using the same brand. I think it varies!!

Lookingforadvice123 · 18/05/2015 20:35

Ah so the sausage shape chorizo that you put in things like jambalaya is ok, it's just the thin sliced deli counter style one that you can't eat? And I'm guessing all other deli counter meats are off limits too? Boo!

Joey0805 · 18/05/2015 21:18

Errr I have totally been eating goats cheese. Oops, better stop that then! I made sure it was pasteurised so thought that was all ok. The list of can't do's just gets longer and longer!

I feel like such a cliche: I'm so so tired. Trying not to complain about it to my DH as it's only going to get worse and I don't want to use up all of his sympathy too early!!

Bovnydazzler · 18/05/2015 21:20

Greetings everyone!
Only just made it onto this 1st thread it's travelling so quick. I am delighted to be on here though :) I've been TTC for 15 months and it's taken over my thoughts and my life it seems, congratulations to everyone but especially the few on this thread who have been trying years! (Every pregnancy is precious though!)

My stats:
Age 30
DC: #2 (I have one DS, 2)
TTC: 15 months
EDD: 24/01/16 (tentatively!)
BFP: 15th May

All the months TTC I said I wouldn't whinge about pregnancy as I was so desperate to be preggers, please hold me to that!!

My test has confused me, I have long, irregular cycles (40-90 days), I had been using Ovulation predictor kits twice a day since day 15, and got a positive on cycle date 34. Anyway, I got my BFP on 12days post ovulation. Clear blue digital said 3+ weeks (and not even fmu) and the initl IC was darker than the control line!? Bit nervous it may be twins as surely I should be 1-2 weeks at this point not 3+ weeks?! It's possible I could have ovulated earlier than the test, but unlikely I think.

Look forward to sharing this journey with you all, hoping for sticky beans!

Blackandwhitecat3 · 18/05/2015 21:31

Gosh it's difficult to keep up on this thread. Congrats would on the twins and all the new people for your BFPs.

Manatee your post made me chuckle - that's exactly how I felt for the first week, I couldn't concentrate on anything and could cope with the fact that I couldn't tell anyone!

parsnip we have the same size boobs. Unfortunately the shops don't seem to stock a lot of that size non-wired bras, but I finally have some and boobs are a lot less sore now.

Anyone else starting to show? I have a mini bump already at only 6 weeks which I am desperate to keep hidden at work. It's not just bloating like 2 weeks ago, it's firmer and at a different height. Yikes!

I seem to be swinging between nauseous and tired to ravenous and hyperactive. Sometimes my brain just won't switch off, but when the tiredness hits me, it's like a wall. So happy to be pregnant, and enjoying all the symptoms Smile

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 18/05/2015 21:49

Blackandwhite where did you find this amazing bra? I'm currently about a 32 E (already gone up from DD) so eager to find something really supportive to help the boobies out. They've been pretty painful today!

I keep thinking my 'bump' is bloating but it does feel like it's getting more difficult to hold in the flab!

parsnipbob · 18/05/2015 21:52

Yes black and white where did you get the bra???

Can't kid myself my muffin top is a bump at 4 weeks, maybe in 8 :)

Carno13 · 18/05/2015 21:52

Hello everyone! Did a test this afternoon, as was due on 2 days ago. Been not using any protection since my daughter was born, she will be 2 in august! So it's taken a while... Still can't believe it, EDD is 21st January 2016 ??

brickiemum2 · 18/05/2015 21:56

I'm definitely thicker in the waist even though I'm the same weight.

mrsfazruns · 18/05/2015 22:01

Holy mother of cramps!!! Just sneaked up on me tonight!! I know it's normal but doesn't half worry you!!!

Blackandwhitecat3 · 18/05/2015 22:02

Aha, bra info - they stock non-wired bras in bravissimo, debenhams, John Lewis, M&S. All of those stores will measure you (you might need to book) and all will check to see if what you've tried on fits.

John Lewis stock Royce which look the prettiest, but they didn't have my size, I'm going to wait and see if I grow any more before I order one online. I bought a triumph bra(!) in debenhams and it's really comfy and supportive.

I bought a bravado nursing bra in JL - it's so comfy, but not v supportive so I'll just wear that around the house. You can convert it to a normal bra with clips provided. I also got a debenhams big boob range sports bra for walking in and (same range) pyjama top with built in support.

All last week my boobs were really sore and achy at the sides where the underwire had been cutting in, now they're so much happier!

Blackandwhitecat3 · 18/05/2015 22:04

Congrats Carno

brickie I haven't put on any weight either, even though I'm up 2 cup sizes and a definite bulge at the waist!

Good job I have lots of loose dresses in my wardrobe Smile

Blackandwhitecat3 · 18/05/2015 22:11

Royce Charlotte bra in wide range of sizes

coffeenut · 18/05/2015 23:13

cooked chilled prawns - yes they're the ones we can't eat here (even if reheated).

soft cheeses - there was a scare here a year or so ago about pregnant women contracting listeria (and miscarrying) from supposedly pasteurised soft cheeses. I'll only eat them cooked now, even if they say they are made from pasteurised milk.

I have the hard high bump thing too! I think it's just bloat from below doing something tricky.

littlebbunny · 18/05/2015 23:42

I hated shopping for bras, never could find anything that was comfortable enough to wear and so I wore the only 2 comfortable bras I had for 4yrs! Until a couple of months before I got pregnant, I bought some bras at M&S (M&S COLLECTION Sumptuously Soft Padded Full Cup T-Shirt Bra A-DD) I find them super comfortable, so much so that I sleep with them on. I haven't really had sore ( )( )s. In fact most times I don't feel pregnant. The evenings seem to be when all the activity happens.

brickiemum2 · 19/05/2015 07:02

Is there anyone who can go through the thread and update the ###STATS#### sheet? I don't know how to on my phone. We need to add everyone on to it and remove carrot Sad

Lookingforadvice123 · 19/05/2015 07:18

NHS website says cold pre-cooked prawns are fine coffeenut. Phew.

I'm really worried this morning Sad since yesterday evening I've been having sharp pains in my stomach, to the right around my belly button. It's not a constant pain, it comes and goes and only lasts about a second but it's a sharp pain rather than a cramp and I don't know what it could be?! Anyone else had this? Had no sleep as I was awake worrying about it and looking out for the pain, now I have to go into work and pretend everything's normal as no one knows I'm pregnant Sad

Donnadoon · 19/05/2015 07:23

Hello I've lurked from the beginning

Flowers congrats everyone :)

Donnadoon · 19/05/2015 07:26

Forgot to add EDD 26/01/16

Blackandwhitecat3 · 19/05/2015 07:29

Welcome donna

looking, that could be a really strong cramp or maybe some trapped wind - that can be so painful, and alarming if you've never had severe trapped wind before.

Fingers crossed for you today x

Donnadoon · 19/05/2015 07:29

looking try not to worry! pregnancy is full of pains and twinges,(sorry don't know if this is your first or not)that little bean will be pulling and tugging on everything soon! before that though, your body is changing to allow that to happen.

coffeenut · 19/05/2015 07:44

welcome donna Smile

Sharp pains are likely to be things stretching looking. I havent had any this time, obvs my stomach muscles are effed already.

Interesting how different countries have different guidelines! Oz is pretty cautious. tbh the thought of prawns or any seafood atm makes me feel ill. All I can think to eat is fruit, poached chicken and fizzy lemon drinks.

Have had the roughest day yet today (6+6). Had the beginnings of a migraine aura this morning (couldn't read my text messages) and then felt really dreadful doing groceries. Head spins and thought I was going to vom in the middle of the supermarket. Luckily DD2 was being an angel - don't think I could've wrangled the toddler without puking. Bring on second trimester.
