Edgar wtf, nothing till week 10? Confused It's horrid that you have to wait for a call - enough of this business is out of our control, why not at least give us that bit of control!

Sleepy what a rude and unpleasant woman! I don't blame you for being sarcastic - she's only getting back what she's dished out Hmm

This is such a weird time. Like there's everything going on but nothing at the same time. And it doesn't quite feel real yet, what with waiting for appointments and not telling many people.

SleepyDragon · 18/05/2015 12:02

pars small bloody world! lol!

OTheHugeManatee i hope i recognise her voice when i go for the appointment LOL

I know what you mean, to us its really exciting, and scary and nervy but everyone else (professionals) is like 'yeah you don't need to see us yet' i just want some confirmatin other than symptoms and 2 BFP's Confused Grin

OTheHugeManatee · 18/05/2015 12:23

That's just it, I want to run around going 'OMG OMG OM I'M PREGNANT SOMETHING IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW WHY IS NOTHING HAPPENING OMG AM I STILL PREGNANT AND WHY ARE THE SURGERY SO NOT BOTHERED OMG OMG OMG I'M PREGNANT BUT WHAT IF I'M NOT PREGNANT ANY MORE OMG I'M PREGNANT SOMEONE MAKE A FUSS NOW!!!!!'.

I imagine the novelty will wear off in due course HmmGrin

SleepyDragon · 18/05/2015 12:29

Oh my god i am soooo glad someone else has had the 'I'M PREGNANT BUT WHAT IF I'M NOT PREGNANT ANY MORE' thing

nothing has happened to make me think i'm not, but what if i'm not!!!! aaaaaaaaaaaargh!!!!!!!

mrsfazruns · 18/05/2015 12:34

Parsnip .... I've booked an early one as think it will just settle my mind!! 12 weeks is akmg time to go with no contact!! BUT mines booked for Saturday and I'm so nervous there is nothing in there!!! Won't setttle till I see a HB X

OTheHugeManatee · 18/05/2015 12:48

Sleepy Every time I get symptoms I want to whinge at everyone. But then the moment they fade I go OMG WHAT IF I'M NOT PREGNANT ANY MORE?????!!!!??? Confused

Can't win, can we.

parsnipbob · 18/05/2015 12:52

Had sore boobs and they're much less sore today (ache only when pressed). Should I worry? :s

Tonicandgin · 18/05/2015 12:58

The weirdest thing I think at this stage is actually not having pregnancy confirmed at all until 12 weeks (scan) despite having some apts. No urine tests for pregnancy etc but they give you the forms to send off to get free prescriptions. V weird.

Juniper44 · 18/05/2015 13:12

I went to the GP this morning and she didn't say congratulations. I know it's daft but I still like to hear it! Actually, people have just been like 'oh right' for number 2.

GP won't refer me to midwife as my dates are so mad. I've got a scan at the hospital next week to see what's going on. My LMP makes me 6 weeks, but I know I'm not. Think I'm probably 4. If they see nothing (which they won't!) then I'll have to keep going back until they do. Then back to the GP. Joy!

Tonic NHS says that shellfish is fine as long as it's cooked, but to avoid too much 'big fish' due to the mercury levels. All pates are a no-no and blue cheeses or cheese with mouldy rind.

I'm going to carry on eating runny eggs. We buy organic anyway so I think it'll be fine. It'd only make me ill, not blobby.

Juniper44 · 18/05/2015 13:12

Must Learn To Be Succinct

wlrg14 · 18/05/2015 13:14

Thanks ladies I'm hopeful about the scan as the spotting has stopped! Smile
My boss made me separate egg yolks and whites earlier...i nearly lost my breakfast! Blush
I don't think I could have waited until the 12wk scan it seems like such a long time!

mrsfazruns · 18/05/2015 13:16

Parsnip try not to worry about boobs .... Mine been fine this time round with no pain at all!!! I googled disappearance of symptoms this morning and apparently it's normal to have varying symptoms daily x

Juniper44 · 18/05/2015 13:18

My boobs did nothing last pregnancy. Did not grow a smidge. So not fair! Only time they got bigger was when my milk came in and then they were ridiculous. Poor DD was nearly suffocated Blush

parsnipbob · 18/05/2015 13:27

I really hope my boobs don't get bigger...I'm already a 32G!

OrangeBeehive · 18/05/2015 13:33

My sore boobs keep coming and going too...Parsnip are you wearing a bra today?! Mine definitely get less painful when I don't wear a bra for a few hours!

parsnipbob · 18/05/2015 13:45

Yep wearing a bra - can't say I've noticed the difference really.

I read at 4 weeks I'm too early for any symptoms anyway and that they will come on between 6 and 8. Hope that's true and that my strong BFP is a good sign!

Juniper44 · 18/05/2015 13:50

I had crippling morning sickness and horrendous cramps at 4 weeks last time, so I'd contest that idea!

Morning sickness is such a misnomer. 'All day sickness' is far more accurate.

parsnipbob · 18/05/2015 13:52

Juniper that has made me worry!

I guess we are all different.

mrsfazruns · 18/05/2015 13:57

I have absolutely NO boobage symptoms!! And didn't get sick till I was 5+3 and it's just got worse everyday!! Don't worry parsnip every single pregnant is different!!! When I was preg last time boobs were painful before my BFP .... This time = nothing x

Yokyil · 18/05/2015 14:03

The all day sickness feels like it's trying to annihilate me Sad feel wretched. Trying to get through the working day is a big struggle. Feel sick from I wake up til I go to bed & just feeling sorry for myself. Just at 6+3 dunno how long I can manage feeling like this

Juniper44 · 18/05/2015 14:12

Yokyil have you tried gingernut biscuits? Wink If I had a biscuit for every time I heard that! BiscuitBiscuitBiscuit

Parsnip no sickness here this time. It's different for everyone. Don't worry!

parsnipbob · 18/05/2015 14:29

Ta everyone I am a worry wart sorry.

Think I'm just worrying because my breasts were achy and now they aren't.

impatientlywaiting · 18/05/2015 14:47

Symptoms definitely come and go parsnip

I had a bit of nausea week 6-7 last time then very few pregnancy symptoms the rest of my last pregnancy.

OrangeBeehive · 18/05/2015 15:05

Some people have lots of symptoms all the time, some have none at all...some vomit every day they are pregnant and others don't get a whiff of nausea! Everyone is different. Symptoms definitely come and go though - Parsnip, at 4 weeks I don't think I had any to write home about. Even now I feel remarkably well and can't believe there's a baby in there. Half expecting midwife to tell me I'm imagining the whole thing!

parsnipbob · 18/05/2015 15:07

Thanks everyone, this is a waiting game for all of us I suppose. If only we could fast forward 12 weeks!
