Christmas and new years babies thread!

Just got my bfp positive today and am thinking we need a thread for all the babies that will be born around new years and Christmas. I'm due new years eve and just know I'll be sick of the comments real quick! So we can vent and plan low stress xmases together.

I know we have the December thread and will have the January one, but why the hell not there's room for everyone!

Can I tentatively join you all I got my bfp on Wednesday not sure when I'm due as I have been over the place after losing my dd at 18+3 in October I think I'm about 5-6 weeks

Yes 27th definitely looking busy OhHoly! I'm due 27th as well! I forgot to say that on my post , although hoping to have an elective section this time after having a section 8 months ago so he/she may be here before Christmas hopefully

It's my third in fact! Still feeling rather surreal. Contemplating the Harmony or Nifty test as I'm 35 with this pregnancy and do rather worried that all is well. Anyone else thinking about this?

Sweep What is thecnifty test? I'm 34 so not far behind you. I hadn't really thought about extra tests until now.

They are both tests only available privately from 10 weeks, they are not diagnostic but do give you an almost definitive answer on the 3 most common trisomy. They are from 10 weeks and are a scan and blood test that gets sent to America and come back on just over a week. But.... £400+

I refused all bloods last time and I think will refuse again. I won't have amnio and they'd pick anything major up in the US anyway. It's very difficult though to know what to do. And each of us will react differently. I just prefer not to know!!

My dd that I lost had downs syndrome so I doesn't bother me all I'm worried about is this one's heart :(

Hi, please can I join? According to my calculations edd is 26th December, although going from last LMP it would be 2 weeks earlier, but I'm sure I ovulated really late this cycle, nice to see a few others are in a similar position ref late ovulation too.

No symptoms yet, not sure if I'm pleased about that or not. I have a dd aged 10 months so there will only be 18 months between them, eek!

I'm also thinking of having an early scan. Dd was my second pregnancy, my first pregnancy ended in mmc at 10 weeks so I am proceeding with caution at the moment.

I am worrying all ready, little bit of cramping and spotting tonight. I can't believe that I'm so attached to this Poppy see already. I did an Internet cheapie this evening that went positive pretty quickly and my last loss turned negative before I started bleeding.

Oh Sweep-sorry you are worrying. I think a bit of spotting and cramping can be normal-just everything stretching and settling. Keep us updated.

OhHoly thanks for writing the list out so we can see it easily! Just one minor amendment - it's my first DC not 2nd. Mad seeing me as potentially one of the first to go!!

So I fell asleep on the sofa at 8:45 last night, woke up at 3am thinking it was time to get up (jetlag?!) and had to go and have a bowl of cereal as I was feeling dicey!! Up now at 06:30 and got a dull back ache although likely to be bowel as I've had constipation the last few days (sorry..!). I have no idea what you can take for it in the UK let alone in Thailand! Any advice? Should I just go and buy a ton of dates and eat them all?!!!

Sweep I hope everything's alright. Are you having an early scan? Sounds positive if your HCG levels are high!

Thanks for the list OHoly there's quite a few of us now . I'm finding that I'm getting carried away and really excited I'm only 5 + 1 and I'm going to be 38 when DC2 arrives I'm a bit worried something might happen before my scan. I've got my booking in appt on 12th May. With my first DC I had horrendous nausea from week 7 until week 15 - hoping to have it a bit easier this time but lack of symptoms is a worry too. Sorry just re read this msg and realised I am being a bit neurotic. Hope everyone is ok - do you all have booking in apps?

JoeyBun, my DS is 8 months so will be 16 months when baby arrives too, eeeekkk! Congrats!

Griff my booking app is the 21st of May, it feels like ages away!

I have both my booking in appointment and first scan dates, but they seem ages away
Booking in on 22nd May and first scan on 19th June.
Hope the next few weeks go quickly!

I was given my MW booking slot at first GP appt - it's next week. And I got my first scan appt through yesterday for 16th June which seems ages away but I see the endo on the 8th of June so it's all happening. Makes it all very real!

Nothing more over night, so this little thing is still sticking. Think about might get a clear blue conception indicator test today though you reassure myself!

Hope you're doing OK sweep these early weeks are so nerve wracking.

I've just moved house and need to register at the docs before I can book any appointments in. Feeling a bit woozy and weak but in recovery from a stomach bug so might just be that; didn't really get any sickness last time. Worked out that am going to be on hols when i hit 12 weeks, hopefully will be able to fit scan around that!

Hello...I got my BFP over the weekend, confirmed on a digital test this morning so really new! I think rough due date is 4th Jan (the online calculators think 19th Dec assuming a 28 day cycle but I've been so messed up since coming off the pill in August and I conceived on about CD38 not the usual CD14!). This no.1 and I am TERRIFIED!
