Just got my bfp positive today and am thinking we need a thread for all the babies that will be born around new years and Christmas. I'm due new years eve and just know I'll be sick of the comments real quick! So we can vent and plan low stress xmases together.

I know we have the December thread and will have the January one, but why the hell not there's room for everyone!

Hello new people! Welcome to our increasingly busy thread! Will update the stats list when I get five minutes (and correct mistakes, sorry!) unless anyone else has a burning desire to do it first?!

Sounds positive that things have settled sweep, fx

Very jealous of all these ladies with proper appointments, my midwife appointment isn't until June 10th! And no scan date...

Did see the gp today though, she gave me anti-emetics for the morning sickness and agreed with me about the folic acid so prescribed the higher dose so that's all good. And I picked up my maternity pack at the reception with my green notes in so will have to fill that in at some point too

Welcome Joey and congratulations. Embrace the fear, its natural. Tgis is the place to let the crazy run free Grin

SweepTheHalls · 28/04/2015 12:29

CB digital data 2 - 3 weeks, which is exactly what I think, so I'll take that as a good sign. Midwife booked in for 2nd June!

Joey0805 · 28/04/2015 15:30

I've booked am appointment with GP for next week (they asked on the phone which hospital I wanted to go with!! Bit early for that surely?!), I've been taking folic acid for months now, is there anything else I should be doing?

sherbertlemon17 · 28/04/2015 16:58

Thanks for doing the list OHF... For me it is also DC #1. I take my hat off to all of you going for 2 or 3!

I had the most horrendous morning sickness this morning, nearly didn't go in to work. I'm a teacher though so dragged myself in. Was definitely more snappy with my Year 10's this afternoon! Oops!

CuppaSarah · 28/04/2015 18:54

Eeeeek tango congratulations!!! I'm thrilled another one of us has made it to the other side!! Hello other newbies o have no yet met too.

Sweep I'm glad it settled down, the stress of.spotting is not what you need.

Everyone's getting their appointments through! My booking in is 22st may. So looking forward to getting it done.

Hi Sherbert, fellow secondary teacher nod and wink from here Wink

ChandlersFarang · 29/04/2015 06:24

Joey I hear ya! This will be (hopefully!) my first too, and I ov'd on CD32 this cycle. You might want to google 'calculate due date ovulation' and you'll find some online calculators to work your EDD out for u!!

ChandlersFarang · 29/04/2015 06:28

By the way I'm 6+4 today and finding my morning sickness/nausea is not consistent at all! I had nothing in the morning today whilst yesterday was vile. In fact after I went to the gym yesterday morning I felt good all day! Then felt mostly fine until just before lunch today. I get the impression mine is not going to be predictable at all! I'm quite glad it comes back when it does though, as feeling too normal worries me (although luckily my bbs have been relentlessly sore since 11DPO!). I guess we should be grateful when we don't feel like shit really! Haha GrinGrin

OhHolyFuck · 29/04/2015 08:21

My "morning" sickness is unfortunately being very consistent, all day every day atm! Im on medication so hope it settles down soon, can't really look after DS1 and DS2 and work whilst feeling so crappy, have my hen weekend next weekend too..

ChandlersFarang · 29/04/2015 09:54

Oh god, OhHoly, that's a nightmare!! Your hen do? What's the plan? When are you getting married?! So much going on at once!

OhHolyFuck · 29/04/2015 09:59

Yes...its very much not a pregnancy friendly weekend! We're going to a theme park for a long weekend and there's a spa there too so thats also planned for one of the days! Plus the usual drinking and late nights, everything i can't do!
Getting married in September so hoping the worst of the sickness is over by then

crumble74 · 29/04/2015 14:24

Hi lovely ladies, can I join too? Took a leftover OPK on Monday morning & confirmed with 2 HPTs later. EDD is 2/1/16. I have an almost 10month old DS (Waves at BingBunny & JoeyBun) and before we had him we've had 1.5yrs of trying, an mmc at 10wks & another mc. I think I am still in shock! I don't have any symptoms other than feeling ridiculously emotional. I was crying last night because I was worried I won't be able to love no. 2 as much as my lovely no.1. Blush Please tell me it's just hormones!

Tangoandcreditcards · 29/04/2015 14:49

crumble SNAP on the EDD. I have a 14mo DS and also took a year and a mc to conceive him

I cried this morning because I couldn't get the car seat back in the car. So at least you're getting emotional about the 'big things' (I also cried on Monday because my train was delayed). I'm normally quite emotional, but I'm ridiculous this week.

Perhaps I should think on a few big worries to get worked up about later, DP will love that - he doesn't ever know what to do with himself, he gives me an awkward pat and then leaves. Although he's been worrying himself about DS being upset about having to share us!

crumble74 · 29/04/2015 15:14

Thanks tango - it's all very surreal.
I think car seats not fitting is a legitimate reason to cry btw, it's not always the 'big things', last pregnancy I cried if there wasn't enough - or the right kind of - cheese in the fridge so I look forward to that Hmm.

BingBunnyIsAKnob · 29/04/2015 17:07

Crumble are you me?!
I don't feel pregnant at all yet either and haven't had any symptoms apart from being extra tired (not complaining that I haven't had morning sickness yet)
I've been worrying that DS is going to be jealous and I'm worrying that I'll get so stressed when I haven't had any sleep because of baby keeping us up all night and that I don't want to take it out on DS1 by being a misery because he won't understand why X

BingBunnyIsAKnob · 29/04/2015 17:08

And I've been really emotional too! Crying at EVERYTHING, I was the same last time in early pregnancy though

crumble74 · 29/04/2015 18:19

I agree BingBunny, I may have also shed a tear at the mere thought of revisiting sleepless nights. I really like my sleep Wails

Lookingforadvice123 · 29/04/2015 19:25

Can I join please? I'm 4 weeks 3 days with #1, caught on cycle 1 of trying so still she'll shocked but so excited! Due date has calculated at 4 Jan!

BingBunnyIsAKnob · 29/04/2015 19:39

Me too crumble, DS was a really bad sleeper at first up all night and now we've finally got him sleeping 7.30 until 6am it's bliss, I'm just imaging new baby keeping him awake and us having 2 screaming babies through the night, terrified Confused
I am excited too once I get past all the worrying Smile

JoeyBun · 29/04/2015 20:36

Bingbunny and crumble, I have a fear that this pregnancy will be twins and I'll have 3 under 18 months and won't be able to cope! I have no reason to suspect twins, no twins in the family etc, but the small gap has got me worried. I still don't have any symptoms either to the point that I keep forgetting I'm pregnant, although in my defence I've just returned to work from mat leave this week so I've had a lot on! Are either of you still on mat leave?

Tangoandcreditcards · 29/04/2015 21:00

Bing and crumble "luckily" for me at almost 15mo DS still wakes up 3-4 times a night... So I'm already primed just to carry on. What am I thinking??

joey I'm ridiculously hoping for twins (no reason to suspect etc) as DS wants to stop after 2 but I have a hankering for 3. I'm disregarding how that might pan out practically.

BingBunnyIsAKnob · 29/04/2015 21:11

No I haven't been on mat leave, left my job a little while ago now i'm a SAHM and DP works. How are you finding being back in work? I bet they'll be happy when you tell them you're pregnant again! HaGrin
