Christmas and new years babies thread!

Just got my bfp positive today and am thinking we need a thread for all the babies that will be born around new years and Christmas. I'm due new years eve and just know I'll be sick of the comments real quick! So we can vent and plan low stress xmases together.

I know we have the December thread and will have the January one, but why the hell not there's room for everyone!

BFP yesterday @ 10dpo & due Jan 4th ?? absolutely zero symptoms so still not quite believing it & glad I'm skint or I'd be constantly POAS. I do have a teeny bit of tightness, more hungry & gone off sweet stuff though.

Question: my LMP was 51 days ago & I'm 100% certain I OV'd CD40. Do I lie I put my LMP 2 weeks before OV date or just give right date & trust the dating scan will correct things?

Go with LMP, they will scan you based on that (which will be earlier) and the adjust your dates IMO.

With LMP, mine puts me a week or two ahead but as I charted I know my ovulation date. Will they still go by my LMP do you think?

We could have a "stats list" of everyone? We're getting quite a big group now!

it's only 12 days out so will go with LMP and trust in the professionals!

Good idea OhHoly. mine are; 26 (27 in a month), dc1, conception took 8m but only 4 cycles.

Month I conceived was the month I was going to skip as didn't want a Xmas/NY baby and really eased back off the whole trying thing, no acupuncture etc - go figure!

My stats: 29yrs old, due December 30 going by LMP, first month trying, still in shock cannot believe our luck!

Another 3rd timer here. Still in shock was not planned at all. And my DD is christmas day!! Really worried about making sure christmas isn't 'cancelled' for my other two. Will start preparing in September I think!

Welcome our lovely newbies, we are so in need of a stats page, how on earth do they work? anyone got any idea?

Do we do a google docs shared excel sheet, I have no clue how to do that, but it can't be too difficult surely? Shall I go and spy on the other threads and see how they do it?

not sure this will work, but i mocked this up, so people can add themselves, any excel wizards know how to make it automatically go in order of EDD? Because I have no bloody clue I copied the one off the December thread too.

Well done on trying to sort a stats page Cuppa - that kind of thing is beyond me! Just clicked the link and had to log in to my Google account and then it told me I didn't have access so have sent a request to view. The one for the December bus thread didn't need me to do either of those things - maybe tweak the access settings so we can get in and see it? Thank you!

Re: EDD with long cycles - I'm in that boat too. I didn't conceive for ages because I have nuts long cycles and often didn't ovulate at all - I only ov'd twice since last May but got BFPs both times! I ov'd on CD40 in dec but sadly didn't work out. This time I ov'd a week earlier (I was taking Vitex which seemed to help!) and has stuck for longer already, so am really hoping I'm going to be lucky, but we will see. I know precisely when I ovulated though so my EDD of 21 Dec is based on my ovulation date and not my LMP which would make me way too pregnant!! There are EDD calculators online that you can do which take your ov date instead of LMP so I used those. Personally I think it would be worse for me psychologically to work with a date that made it sound I was further gone than I know I actually am, and then have to have the clock set back again! But that may be due to earlier loss, so am just taking each day as it comes.

I'm due NYE and have a 20mo dd. Its brilliant that there's a thread for xmas and new year babies! I'm feeling tired but that could just be waking up too early. I've had indigestion for over a week now tho - that's what made me suspect maybe I was pregnant as the last time I had indigestion like this was with dd1.

Morning sickness has already started so guessing I'm about 5/6 weeks. I'm too excited to care!

Have been a total mess nausea wise today... It's the last day of our 16 day holiday so I'm so glad it held off til this late!! The jetlag from Vancouver to Tokyo hasn't helped one bit!! One last flight tomorrow back home to Bangkok and then I can wallow in my own bed and with my own kitchen supplies to hand!! Eaten so many plain noodles and chips today, bleugh... Was so excited about all the sushi but just couldn't face it!!

Chandler I've been the same today sitting here sucking on an ice lolly about all I can manage today ?? I hope it's not a sign of things to come!

Welcome too sherbet! Sorry about the morning sickness though. My sickness has easied up a little the last few days, no actual vomming, just a tummy flippy feeling in my guts if I don't eat constantly. I'm quietly envious of those of you who have it really bad already, but I won't say that in a few weeks I imagine.

I'm not going to tell DH over the phone as after do long he is going to be rather shocked! It has been me that really wanted DC 3, he was happy with the 2 lovely boys we have, but there was a bit if my heart that had yet to be allocated! I'm with my sister today though who definitely suspects as I've not been drinking!

It's so hard not to tell, especially when you're feeling crappy! CuppaSarah it's the strangest thing I have no appetite and have felt sick constantly since yesterday but when I'm actually grazing on something I'm fine! If anyone saw my google search history at the minute they'd think I was mental, googling every little thing

Lol cuppaSarah I never thought it would be like this I'm a big bundle of nerves the 5 days I've know have dragged I don't know how I will cope til first scan! Glad I'm not the only one though....it's nice to have a place to come to talk to other crazy pregnant ladies
