Just got my bfp positive today and am thinking we need a thread for all the babies that will be born around new years and Christmas. I'm due new years eve and just know I'll be sick of the comments real quick! So we can vent and plan low stress xmases together.

I know we have the December thread and will have the January one, but why the hell not there's room for everyone!

Hi, may I join too? I'm due on 27th December and already have a DD who has her birthday on 22nd December, so Christmas time is going to be very expensive in our house!

I'm trying and failing to not get too excited. I'm not even 5 weeks along yet.

I look forward to sharing this topsyturvy ride with you all.

IfYouWereARiverIdLearnToFloat · 25/04/2015 23:06

Hi ladies! Can I join too? I'm due 23rd December. Only 5w3d, cramping is settling & the nausea isn't too bad but my boobs have exploded. I'm now bursting out of an F cup & need to go bra shopping.

I've seen GP & now have booking appt with MW at 7 weeks. Still hasn't really sunk in yet though.

ChandlersFarang · 26/04/2015 00:31

Woke up this morning (in Tokyo! Hence time) feeling completely fine after last night's nausea shitshow that basically ruined me and DH's night!! So much for 'morning sickness', lol. Making hay now and going out walking and eating normally!

Welcome and congrats to newbies!! and love the OPK update, so going to do that when it get back home tomorrow! Grin

WonkyDonkBonk · 26/04/2015 08:34

Chandler maybe your bean hasn't adjusted to the time difference hence you are getting your morning sickness at night. Wink

sherbertlemon17 · 26/04/2015 08:37

Thanks Cuppa. The nausea comes and goes, most days I fell nauseous but not until afternoon and evening time. But I've had a couple of pukey, can't get out of bed evenings too!

Oh, and the opk rumour is 100% true. I had a gynae appointment Thursday morning which prompted me to test Wednesday and I didn't have any hpt's so though I'd try an opk, and there were 2 lines straight away. Same when I did a hpt later on too!

Welcome new ladies and massive congratulations! Anyone told parents and close friends yet?

WonkyDonkBonk · 26/04/2015 08:49

Sweep have you told your DH yet? I bet he's chuffed

BingBunnyIsAKnob · 26/04/2015 09:36

Eeeek, found out Thursday that we're expecting DC2 at the end of December, DS1 is only 8 months old! Blush

WonkyDonkBonk · 26/04/2015 10:43

Congratulations BingBunny. I think thats a lovely age gap to have, they will grow up firm friends.

FrozenYogurt · 26/04/2015 10:55

Hello to all the newbies and congrats to you all!

For those of you who are brave/crazy enough to be doing this for a third time: what are your age differences?
I have a DD 4.5, starting school in September, a great sleeper. And DS 2.9, just settling in preschool and a terrible sleeper!
The next few months will be interesting trying to negotiate school runs and winding down the co-sleeping with DS.

OhHolyFuck · 26/04/2015 13:30

Frozen Ds1 is 4.3 and ds2 is 22 months, so will be very nearly 5 (and at school!) and 2.6 when ds3 comes....

SweepTheHalls · 26/04/2015 14:03

Just told him, he's rather shocked but looked really pleased. He immediately started talking about bunk beds and the need to buy a bigger house!

SweepTheHalls · 26/04/2015 14:05

DS 1 is 6,DS 2 is 4. Rather a bigger age gap than we wanted, but it will be nice to be able to give DC 3 my full attention during the day as DC2 starts school in September.

CuppaSarah · 26/04/2015 14:39

Glad he was happy sweep the halls!

I'm currently laid in bed feeling tired, dizzy abd queasy. After a poorly judged late night, but my friend does not suspect a thing so yay. I will never go out after 8pm again. We were the last people in the restaurant too which was awkward.

Hello newbies and congratulations on your lovely news.

Chandler how on earth are you coping with early pregnancy and travel. I would be dead.

Frozen I have a 6 year old, a 3.5 year old and this one. Can't remember a thing about pregnancy and babies!

sunrisesagain · 26/04/2015 16:04

Just found out I'm expecting and due on the 27th dec older mum tho at 43 so v nervous but excited!!!

ChandlersFarang · 26/04/2015 17:33

Congrats and welcome sunrise!!

Wonky - love the idea my wee bean has it's own jetlag!

Cuppa - yep exactly what I'm thinking! It's now 02:00 and I just landed in Thailand into 30 degree humidity. Feeling absolutely disgusting but at least we are home! Have both sick bags off the plane to get me back in the taxi Confused needless to say did not think I'd be pregnant when we booked this holiday!! I'm so lucky the MS only kicked in on the last couple of days tho to be honest. I'm going home to bed now and staying there for the foreseeable!! Lol!!

Gemb84x2 · 26/04/2015 19:10

Hi ladies I'm expecting no.3 on 27th December, already have dd age 7 and ds age 5 x

FrozenYogurt · 26/04/2015 20:08

I've luckily escaped any major symptoms so far, so hats off to those of you suffering from tiredness, sickness, etc.

I won't be telling anyone until the scan, just to be on the safe side. How did everyone break the news to their partners, or with previous DC? We were quite straightforward with the first two, and got lovely reactions. I feel we might go with the whole "we have organised a special Christmas delivery..." this time. I think people will be very surprised!

I am struggling with how to stealthily avoid alcohol in company...it always sounds (to me) so obvious when I have turned down a glass of wine!!!

FrozenYogurt · 26/04/2015 20:09

Welcome Gemb84x2

CuppaSarah · 26/04/2015 20:54

Welcome sunrises and Gem!!!

Frozen, I think the best thing to do is accept one drink, keep it with you, then pretend to sip it a couple times. Go get a soft drink and if possible switch them over. If it's wine then just get a soft drink too and if anyone offers you another glass of wine say you're good. They'll assume someone else topped your glass up. They won't even notice you have a soft drink as well.

I've never done anything fancy telling people, last pregnancy we just came out with it. I did tell DH both times by waving a pee stick in his face while he was half asleep. I so fancy doing a gender reveal cake this time round, super twee yes. But it involves cake and good company so works for me. Although it seems everyone in my family is getting divorced or separating right now, so with all the bad news it's easier to hide this good news.

Can I join??? New year EDD here!! One DS already. Didn't have morning sickness last time but evening sickness. Was ok though. Could keep it from work!!

OhHolyFuck · 26/04/2015 22:29

Been pretty tired the last few days but my god it's hit today along with the sickness - done nothing but sleep, eat and throw up all day...

Gemb84x2 · 27/04/2015 07:08

so far I've managed to keep the nausea at bay I had a horrendous time with my first 2, even had a stay in hospital as I was so severely dehydrated. But the tiredness and really sore boobs are my main symptoms at the moment. x

Miffyonline · 27/04/2015 09:10

Hi everyone! I'm joining you too! Due date New Years Eve. It still feels very unreal as no symptoms at all...

ChandlersFarang · 27/04/2015 12:29

Hi miffy and congrats on your hopeful NYE babe-to-be!! Grin

I woke up feeling alright today, surprising as I didn't get home from the airport til 01:30 feeling like a dogs dinner! managed a pretty normal day today until 14:00 when I had horrendous nausea and almost vommed at work!! Nice. Quite proud that I forced down salmon and brown rice which has been the absolute making of me, feel so well now I almost thought about going to the gym! Shock remembered not to overdo it tho after hectic days of travel etc so am at home now chilling instead.

Got an early scan booked in for next Weds when I'll be 7+4ish!!! Yikes xx
