Christmas and new years babies thread!

Just got my bfp positive today and am thinking we need a thread for all the babies that will be born around new years and Christmas. I'm due new years eve and just know I'll be sick of the comments real quick! So we can vent and plan low stress xmases together.

I know we have the December thread and will have the January one, but why the hell not there's room for everyone!

Good luck with the packing cuppa , I hate hate hate moving especially with extra complications of toddler and pregnancy, I hope it all goes smoothly. Will be worth it once you're in and settled!

Hi rose - two names is pretty good, less choice means easier, surely? (Browsing baby names board adding 10 more names to my ever growing and shrinking list).

DS up at 4.40 this morning, yay. He's gone back to sleep now (I haven't) but he's having a BAD week sleep-wise, I'm hoping it's a sign he's going to learn to say Mummy (he's had Daddy down for months).

I don't mind packing too much, its the logistics of coordinating the people helping and what goes where that pisses me off. Its like I'm the only one who has common sense and no one can think.for themselves the second moving house is involved.

Dd always sleeps crap for a week or two before learning something new. Hopefully he'll learn to say Mummy and melt you while your dh is away!

Rose we couldn't get the app the work. Then dh decided the app was Russian and poorly programmed and we had to delete it he thinks he's so clever being all techy, but he's a spoilsport sometimes!

Good luck with the move Cuppa, it all seems very short notice. Had you packed anything before this weekend? How is the new place decoration wise? Will you need to do much?

Hi Gillster! Yes, I suspect you're right. I've been told to expect an early arrival, but if this baby takes after my OH it'll be staying put and having a sleep for as long as possible.

I've got my 20 week scan on 14th August, is yours around then too? It's coming up so fast!

I tried the app but unless dh likes the same names as me, I can't get a list of my own favourites. Damn - there were good ones on there I hadn't thought of!!

Gillster, it is very last minute notice, only found out last week we were becoming homeless! So no packing done till this morning. I think the new place is very neutral, it's reasonably new and I've been in loads of properties built by this housing association so it should be ok. We're getting a bedroom and our own kitchenette which is more than we expected. But since we won't see the place till monday we have no idea how much stuff we can bring and how much goes into storage. So mostly packing things that we 100% wont need and sorting through stuff.

Rose I wish I could get him to write a new one, unfortunately, he;s only techy enough to have 'informed opinions' but not techy enough to make a better one. You're 20 week scan is the day after mine!

Sherbert half way??? That's gone fast, you'll end up being super bumpy when you get back to work after the holidays

Thanks for the messages everyone! Packing is going OK. To be honest its impossible to pack as much as I'd like since we haven't even seen where we're moving into. But after tomorrow it will be really clear, my dh can do most of it in the day and we can move it after work. Watching a programme last night where councils wouldn't home you until the bailiffs change the locks, so feeling very thankful right now. Can't wait to get settled again. The housing bloek said we would probably have a private rental before 6 months so fingers crossed!

Northamptonshire I'm afraid! Good luck with the move. We are driving ourselves mad house hunting at the moment, a third child needs a bigger house!

Oh thank goodness you corrected me I always thought northants just meant north Hampshire. Suddenly a few things make sense now.

I remember my midwife saying everyone moves house while pregnant. It seems to be a right of passage!

Sorry I missed the spreadsheet update I'm in Portsmouth but will be Newcastle by the time babies here hopefully. Seems there's a lot of us moving. Hope everyones doing ok can't wait to see all the scan photos again can't believe we're nearly half way there :-o x

Holy, I'm so sad to hear that. It's no wonder your head is all over the place.Are you able to spend the day with anyone, or do you need to be in work? If it's something you want to work through after discussing last night, I hope that will work for you, but just sending you a lot of hugs this morning.

In slightly happier news, I had my "16 week" check up with the community midwife today who was lovely. I has able to hear the heart beat and it moving around on the Doppler, so that was nice and reassuring.

Only 2 weeks to go and for the first of our 20 week scans!

ohholy that is dreadful, I can't even imagine how you must be feeling. Sending you strong thoughts, somehow you will get through this and have a beautiful child. I hope you have someone there today to support you.
