Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 25th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 42nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

The stats sheet will be linked to by our stats hero La (can't do on iPad sorry!)

So, roll call below please, viroids!

DD is 10.5 months so just bought her a load of 12-18 month stuff from our local sainsburys. No point in getting 9-12 as she'll just shoot straight out of it within a few weeks and her legs are really long, she's on the 75th percentile for height and seems to be creeping quite close to the next one up as well! Her dad is 6ft 7 though so not surprised.
I was told I had a cyst on my ovary at my 12 week scan, must've disappeared as they haven't mentioned it since. Apparently it was a healthy one and wasn't anything to worry about. Hope your fibroids do one!
I need some advice as well, ive always put DD down by letting her fall asleep next to me first before transferring her into her cot. I want to know how some of you manage to get your LOs straight into their cot without them kicking off! I know DD will not be impressed by a new routine but with another baby on the way I need to try and get her to be able to self soothe and fall asleep on her own. She has a dummy and currently her routine is bath, changed, bottle of milk and cuddled until she falls asleep. Any advice would be appreciated Smile

Pixie my DB and SiL had the same issue. They put her in cot with a bottle, she drinks it and falls asleep. Not ideal but they needed to do something and it worked

Oh no, not a sainsburys sale. I will be poor! Nicely times trip home though chat. Hopefully you can treat yourself too!

How was a chocolate hot cross bun fleur? Been adverts for them on telly all evening and I want one but not sure I would pick a chocolate one.

Did the clothes appear tee? Pregnant fashion show?

I can't finish my dinners anymore, or if I do it takes an hour! Nearly had piccalilli with my sandwich but it didn't look yellow enough so out it back in the fridge.

I have been wracking my brains to try to remember how we got our eldest to go off by herself and I really can't remember. I think she just started doing it herself as she got older. Pretty sure she was doing it by the time she was 1 so maybe you're not far away from it. (Sorry no help whatsoever). Although actually I think the routine really helped (associating putting sleeping bag on, reading story on her chair) and also when she stopped breastfeeding at 1 as she no longer fell asleep during a feed so got to learn story came before a sleep.

Thanks! Don't worry, any responses are very welcome. I know my SIL has used the pick up, put down method but myOH can't bear to hear her cry and runs to her everytime she so much as makes a peep! Makes it hard on me though, think we are going to have to have a chat on how to get her into bed without her getting anxious and screaming the place down.

DD was fed to sleep until that stopped working, then read to sleep in her cot. Then we did story, 'if you're quiet and stay in bed while I feed the cat you can have another story' and now just story and goodnight. Only took 3 years - just realised that may not be what you're looking for Grin

Sure I'll find something for me too...hot cross buns maybe, but only the proper ones. Got to save my Euros, M and S is coming to Brussels, just in time for me needing feeding bras!

La hope you're ok, it's been a busy week for you.

Totally blaming you lot for the jar of piccalilli that found its way into my shopping tonight...

My aunt has bought B a gorgeous snowsuit from sainsburys. It looks huge so I assumed it must be 6-9 or 6-12 months but have just checked it and it's 0-3. Not sure how much use she'll get from a fully lined snowsuit in spring! But it is lovely - is it ok to exchange a gift? Hopefully I can get a bigger size. I've also had some leggings and little matching t shirts but in different sizes so might need to exchange one or other of those too.

Ive got literally bags of clothes that have never been worn by DD and now I'm having a DS I'm going to look into trying to flog some of it! Sainsburys is really good for baby clothes, H&M was also a favourite as well. I don't like to spend a lot on baby clothes as they just grow out of them so quickly!
Hope you get to have a rest soon La you've had a rely busy week!

Evening viroids! I love you all very much but I absolutely can't get on board with the picalilli. Tiny gherkins, yes. Weird yellow stuff with cauliflower in it, no. I also don't like hot cross buns and fucking Mr Tee has told me that we aren't foing Easter eggs because it's a Christian festival and he doesn't believe in it (not sure if anyone recalls the atheist bollocks he started spouting at Christmas, but this is the same). So I've ordered cherry hotel chocolate truffles and billed his card. Grin. And I got him an egg, but I've eaten it already.

Clothes have arrived! The only thing I'm unsure about is a checked shirt which is not cut very flatteringly, it's very much a boy fit, which isn't what it looked like on the site, but I'll probably keep it. The maxi skirts and dresses I'm all really chuffed with and they accommodate über bump, so I might grab a couple more for the Interim, at £9 a pop it seems rude not to.

Cooked a delicious chinese tonight with marinaded stuff and all sorts. Mr tee has eaten about four bites saying he doesn't feel well nothing to do with the three pints at the pub and two rum and cokes he had while it was cooking he can bloody we'll have it for breakfast tomorrow.

Spoke to work earlier, it's official, I'm now on my pre mat leave, leave. So no more work! I can't get my head around it in spite of being off for like the last five weeks... But I just feel like a weight has been lifted, now all I need to do is ask them to ship the archive box full of my high heeled interview shoes that lives under my desk.

Hope you've got your feet up la

Was work better today dulcet ? I'm afraid I've had no poo yet, so haven't started the poosicle stockpile.

M&S Apple hot cross buns don't have mixed peel in them Grin

We've got boy and girl stuff coming luckily. We've just bought neutral newborn bits. Have been offered an electric steriliser which I think we will go for.

Definitely swap a gift for a bigger size. SIL did that as nephew was 10lbs and I bought 0-3 months clothes

BFF offered to get me a magazine subscription but I've said not to bother. I bought her one for her first but I'm not that bothered now and she's always short of cash

MrPurple bought me a small dark choc egg at my request. I got him a huuuuge maltesers one

Hurray for long weekends for the rest of us not on mat leave yet

Apple hot cross buns purple!? That sounds much nicer than chocolate ones. Might need a trip. I never go in there!

Work was better thank tee. Partly helped by a network outage lost of the morning which, combined with last day before long weekend, have the office a party feel so was quite social! Great news on the holiday though. You can relax now!

Went to a baby sale (tiny tikes I think) last Sunday and got loads of clothes for cheap cheap cheap! You could consider that if you want to shift stuff pixie, most things were only 50p or £1 but they probably shifted a lot. By the end some of the stalls were just trying to shift it and bunging loads in my bag - just desperate not to take it home!

Not sure if it's enough clothes for the start now. Most of it is sleep suits (long and short sleeves) but do babies where outfits? #clueless!

Report
willywallace · 02/04/2015 23:29

Sleepsuits are fine for the first month or so and then it's nice to have some daytime outfits I think. We still use mostly sleepsuits but obviously we're limited as to what she can wear. Anything comfy is great e.g. get the little jeans/trousers which are fleecy and soft on the inside.

Report
Fattycow · 03/04/2015 00:37

Babies wear whatever they are put into. They don't care, as long as it's comfy!

Report
PixieChops · 03/04/2015 05:34

My DD definitely Jay wore sleepsuits for the first month, easy to undo etc and didn't matter if she pooed all over them either. That's so good Tee that you're on Mat leave now! Congrats!! I won't be entitled to any form of maternity allowance unfortunately as Ive not worked in the past year, had DD in May and then found out I was pregnant again in October. My old work never even bothered to try and get me back in when my mat leave had finished (I wouldn't have gone back anyway, I ended up needing CBT therapy and was diagnosed with Generalised Anxiety Disorder because of that place) but then when it came to looking for a job in January when my first lot of mat allowance dried up nobody wanted me because I was already 4 months pregnant!

First day of holiday weekend so obviously I'm up at 5am. Just laying here worried about work - my job isn't even that important! It's not like anyone's life is at risk! Angry at myself.

Thanks for the clothes advice. We have three little pairs of jeans from last weekend but other that it's all sleep suits. Maybe wait till baby is here to get any outfit type things.

Sounds like you are better off out of that job pixie! Will you look for another once this baby is born?

Ha love that we're all (well mostly all) on piccalilli! Amazing stuff!

We are having two bbqs today! Having friends over this afternoon for one - they are probably the last people we still have to tell and we haven't been able to see them sooner - and then round to some friends for another bbq tonight! Hubby has had the shits all week and doc has told him to avoid meat and fish until tummy is settled so god knows what he will eat - he doesn't even like veg!

Yeah tee! That is exciting :) but rubbish about no easter. I love your style with using his credit card. We don't uaually swap eggs but my mum buys them for us and we've been enjoying the cheap Cadbury ones for the last few weeks! I LOVE hot cross buns.

Hope you're enjoying a lie in la you deserve it!

We're on the m6 down to london town to tell dh's best friend about the babe, also hoping to meet up with his god mother to tell her too. Only till tomorrow though as we're both working Sunday and Monday (how rude that people get sick on bank holidays!)
