Ds2 will get his big school offer on 16th april SquattingNeville I will be devastated! He should get in to ds1's school due to sibling rule but it's still a but nerve wracking. He's my little buddy and I will miss him so much!

Wineandchoccy · 30/03/2015 13:18

Bugger I have just ripped a hole in my maternity leggings I caught them on the utility room door my legs moved faster than my body, I'm not buying any more at this late stage so will have to make do with the 1 pair of black and 1 pair of blue leggings that I have.

I wish the weather would improve as I bought a lovely maternity dress from ASOS thinking the weather would be nice at the end of my pregnancy but it's cold, wet and windy and forecast the same all week.

Car costing £220 so not to bad considering the mess it looked, get it back Wednesday afternoon.

I don't have any scales to weigh myself but apart from my boobs and bump I don't think I have gained a lot of weight or I hope I haven't anyway. But even if I have its weight gain for a very very good reason Smile

mswibble · 30/03/2015 13:56

Very true wine, there is no better reason to gain weight!

cinnamongreyhound · 30/03/2015 14:35

Glad it's not too pricey Wineandchoccy! It's such a terrible thing to do, we nearly missed a train a few months ago as I saw a car hit another and drive off so went in to write down number plate for the lady who'd been hit. Then got a police form through the post too so assume she prosecuted for not stopping as well as just claiming on the insurance.

FiRaffe · 30/03/2015 14:55

Oh no Wine- as you say not worth buying more now, hopefully baby will be here soon and the weather improves. Come on April, let's have some nicer weather please!

Siarie · 30/03/2015 15:06

Gahhh, so glad I requested my blood results today! I wanted to check both liver fiction and bile acid results. Turns out my liver function results are higher than normal and my bile acid is at the very top of thre normal range.

Had my blood taken again today so hopefully will hear back soon. Picked up some of that calamine lotion or whatever it's called. I'm worried now because I read that one of the tests can be raised before the other comes back raised.

Also it says if itching continues more blood tests must be done. And it does feel like its getting worse, if that's at all possible Sad

Midwife didn't want to do a cervix check, she said if I go into labour I go into labour and that it can change really quickly so doesn't really tell me much.

IvegotaCaveTroll · 30/03/2015 16:35

That's rubbish siari- I really hope u get some relief.

Saw my midwife today as well- pleased she's agreed to do a sweep at 38.5 weeks as long as my induction is week 39. I know I prob won't work but il give anything ago. She did suggest swallowing semen works- but not with my indigestion!

Iv cancelled my job interview for next week as my bodies given up for now- but the stroke consultant said they still want to consider me (obviously I'm great) so il see if they can interview me later. I cannot really drive at the moment and am still being sick so getting through an interview would be horrendous- I do not have it in me!

I really really hope I feel more myself after the birth I have this horrible feeling that il feel crap forever!

cinnamongreyhound · 30/03/2015 16:52

I think it's quite often an instant thing IveGotACaveTroll! Baby born and feel fine. I was pretty sick with ds1 in first trimester and I vomitted comstantly during labour and stopped once he was born. I have heard that about sperm as well but also read it's not true, it's the prostins that ripen the cervix so don't see how swallowing them can help! Sorry you don't feel up to your interview.

That sucks Sairie. Did the midwife say she's worried about oc for you?

Hidingthefear · 30/03/2015 17:07

mswibble I also would not recommend M&S if i'm honest.
Mother care are nice but the one near me is tiny so no choice and they didn't offer fitting service and i didn't want to just do it myself.
re when to get one I was advised anytime after 37weeks. The shop I went to for my bra was called perfect fit in Bury. They don't use a tape measure to fit you, and were recommended to me by another mum. She said when they fit for nursing bras they allow for a clenched fist to fit into the top of the cup. this allows for milk when your boobs are harder and also breast pads. I jusst got one for now and im going to go back once baby is a few weeks old for another. I can get away with the sprots tops from Asda whilst i'm just sat around at home.
good luck at diabetic clinic too!!

yea i'm with cinnamon, i'm pretty sure sperm only works if near the cervix. although i've read that it's a load of rubbish, it's fun trying ;)

daholster · 30/03/2015 17:14

I went to M&S at 38 weeks and she said its best to wait til the milk has come in at 1-2 weeks post birth if you can stand it. Tbh I will probably be wearing stretch crop top bras for comfort til then anyway!

Went for my last wax today. Couldn't do the full Hollywood cos too swollen and sore and I even have a varicose vein in there Shock It does feel swollen... Had an extended bikini done instead but she said even that bruised straight away so we steered well clear of the supersensitive and rather purple and cross middle bit... Blush Dh will be disappointed! I have to say I'm rather relieved...

FiRaffe · 30/03/2015 17:28

You're brave waxing now Daholster - can't say I could face it down there now!

Can anyone explain how it feels when your pelvis moves out to let baby's head drop further in? My hips and back feel really odd today and my legs feel further apart when i'm walking - would love your ideas/experiences!

cinnamongreyhound · 30/03/2015 17:45

No sorry FiRaffe, mine never fully engaged so no idea!

mswibble · 30/03/2015 17:59

Ooh hiding, thanks for the tip. Will definitely try the place in Bury before I make OH drive me to Mothercare!

daholster I bow down to your 'garden maintenance'! Hollywood's at anytime are an ordeal but you sound like an utter trooper to even consider anything like that. Mine will be attacked with the shaver attachmemt on my epilator, I doubt any fancy topiary will take place - just a severe hack into the undergrowth!

FiRaffe · 30/03/2015 17:59

That's okay, it feels really odd!!!

RL20 · 30/03/2015 18:20

FiRaffe from the demonstration the midwife shown us at the last antenatal class, using a fake pelvis and baby, that does sound about right, but obviously no personal experience on that (yet!)

GherkinMuncher · 30/03/2015 18:33

Bit of news from me. DD2 was born by emergency c section on Friday at 8pm at 37+3.

Went into labour at 1pm. Hospital about 4pm as they thought I'd deliver quickly. Concerns about baby were raised about 7pm and I was having pain inbetween contractions and bleeding. Wonderful midwife queried a uterine scar rupture and I was rushed to theatre. Scar had ruptured and it could have been a very different outcome if surgery had been performed 10 mins later.

DD was trying to get out through the scar and she was wedged in. She has bruises on her head where surgeon had to force her out, but is perfect apart from that.

I have been in HDU until this morning. Had blood transfusion yesterday and now on post natal ward. Hoping for discharge tomorrow.

FiRaffe · 30/03/2015 18:53

Congratulations Gherkin, sorry the circumstances weren't the best but at least she is here safely. Hope you are discharged tomorrow

TheBooMonster · 30/03/2015 18:55

that sounds a bit scary gherkin glad you both made it unscathed!

IvegotaCaveTroll · 30/03/2015 19:29

Mswibble and hiding- are u both near Bury- I went to school there- brings a tear to my eye hearing it mentioned.

I think I'm going to buy just the sleep nursing bras from mothercare pre birth and get measured after once I can leave the house.
Only issue is I'm normally a size 6-8 but am an E or F cup now- so I wonder if the small size will squish the boobs?

IvegotaCaveTroll · 30/03/2015 19:31

Wow gherkin congratulations- sorry I hadn't refreshed screen before posting the last comment so did she ur post.
Well done!!

AnniaFausta · 30/03/2015 19:40

Very glad to hear of the safe arrival, Gherkin - hope you can get home when you want to, and that you're recovering well!

Congratulations gherkin! Hope all goes well for you!

ChickenMe · 30/03/2015 19:51

Congratulations Gherkin hope u can rest

Lauren82000 · 30/03/2015 19:56

Congrats gerkin.

We walked the superworm trail today in Grizedale forest. Bump was hard all the way round and it was only 3/4 mile!

Since then I've had fannydaggers on and off since about 3pm. I now have a very stiff bum and hips but don't think it's started anything like I hoped it would. Hmm am having trouble finding a comfy position to sit in.

Re weight gain: Id put on 2stone by the end of the second trimester but can't say I've put any more on since.
