Congratulations GherkinMuncher!! Thank goodness for that midwife, glad you're both doing well now though.

We have a superworm trail here too Lauren82000 but I think it starts weds. Two dog walks and a trek to the park and back for me today, think I already walk too much for walking to do anything Sad

Omg gerkin glad you are ok!!! Flowers Cake

Had my 2nd sweep today and then ended up in abit of a car accident so then had to go back to hospital for monitoring!
Been sent home they happy with bump, and just been to loo to find a nice bloody steak of plug has come away yay maybe things might happen soon! But I'm only 1cm so probably not lol

TinyTear · 30/03/2015 20:31

Congrats Gherkin, that sounds scary!!
Glad all is now well...

I am in the antenatal ward now ready for my section tomorrow. Haven't seen anyone yet but on the same bed as I was 3 years ago when I was induced with DD... It's a good sign :-)

Lauren82000 · 30/03/2015 20:33

Well despite having a nap when we got home for an hour I'm ready for bed i think. Just having a quick bounce on my ball while DH is on the PS4. I was hoping to entice him to dtd he agreed when I suggested it this afternoon but he has just admitted he'll be having an early night too. Now he is playing and talking to his bro I'm not sure either is going to happen Hmm

kismac · 30/03/2015 21:20

Oh my goodness, Gherkin. Hope you are both recovering well.

Good luck, Tiny. Hope it all goes ok.

Underwood2013 · 30/03/2015 21:32

Wow gherkin glad you and baby are ok. Thank goodness for that midwife recognising the problem!

Good luck tiny!!

Lots of random aches today, some feeling like a stitch or cramp then easing off, none recurring with any consistency to think they are anything other than a variety of pregnancy niggles I'm guessing. 38w midwife visit tomorrow, though not expecting much apart from the usual pee in a cup & measure bump since I am booked in for elcs late next week... It is always nice to hear baby's heartbeat though Smile

smogsville · 30/03/2015 21:33

Hmmm I was thinking about weighing myself in boots just for a laugh as I haven't been weighed since 20 wk scan and we don't have home scales.

Lauren great news on the breakfast in bed. Hope you get your own way on DTD!

Guerkin congratulations and glad to hear you're both safe.

Skyra you sound ok after the car accident, sorry that happened.

RL20 · 30/03/2015 21:40

Gherkin wow that must have been scary. Well done and congratulations - glad to hear you are both doing ok.

Another person has commented tonight that my bump looks as though it has dropped Shock
I'm getting nervous for my midwife appointment on Wednesday. Excited but nervous that I might still be measuring behind, hope not.

Hope everyone's had a good day Brew

37weeks today

kismac · 30/03/2015 21:44

Bump has been really uncomfortable today. Was walking noticeably slower and feeling a lot stiffer. Had really horrible sharp pain at the top of bump on left side which actually brought tears to my eyes. Think it was just wind but scared the hell out of me.

Wineandchoccy · 30/03/2015 22:01

Congratulations Gherkin

We have been given a pram today by somebody DH works with, it's a Quinny buzz but it is absolutely filthy so just scrubbed the pushchair with washing powder and a toothbrush and put to soak in the bath.
We already have a pram but if it cleans up ok my Mum and Dad are going to use it as a spare for at there house.

Hope everyone sleeps well tonight, I'm shattered.

daholster · 30/03/2015 22:09

Exhausted. Spent a fortune in Asda for no apparent reason Angry with self. Bought lots of sweets... Forvot it all costs money!

Lots of BHs, dad is here and can't let on that I'm uncomfy! We are just about to go and paint the room again...

gherkin that is very scary. So glad you were lucky, if you can see it that way! Take your time, try not to rush your recovery.

Peppa Pig World tomorrow. Noooooo... I am so not up for it! But do really want to see my cousin. Oh well... I'll take my notes...

roastpots · 30/03/2015 22:27

Wow Gherkin - how frightening. Thank goodness for that midwife and that it turned out OK in the end. I hope that you are managing to get some rest and recovery time.

All well here. Due date is Wednesday, so things are feeling fairly real now! My Mum came round today with the curtains that she has made for the baby's room and we hung them. It all looks so sweet in there now!

I'm really struggling to sleep as well. I can't get comfortable and I've now got a bit of a cold so I'm feeling bunged up as well. Sooo frustrating! I've got a midwife appointment on Thursday (when I'll be 40+1) and she said that I can have a stretch and sweep then if I want one, but it's up to me. There's a bit of me that would rather like to get through Easter weekend before she comes, so I'm not sure whether to have it or not.

Last time, I had a stretch and sweep on my due date and it really kicked things off. But even when I had it, the midwife said that my cervix was "favourable" (ha ha!) and that I was 2cm dilated anyway so I think it's only in that kind of situation that a S&S can make a difference.

Good luck Tiny - how exciting to think it is tomorrow. I hope you manage to get some sleep tonight!

mswibble I also bought Expecting Better following that recommendation and am so pleased I read it - so thank you to whoever recommended it!

Right - off to bed for me. Pleeease let me have a better night's sleep!!

FiRaffe · 30/03/2015 22:29

Oh blimey daholster, starting painting now... I just want to sleep! Hope Peppa Pig is fun at least

TinyTear · 30/03/2015 22:49

We went to Peppa world last October. DD loved it!!! Lots of benches to rest :-)

GherkinMuncher · 30/03/2015 23:26

Thanks for all the lovely messages. It's quite a rare occurrence thank goodness.

Wishing you all safe speedy deliveries.

We are now cluster feeding. Oh the joys!!!

PenguinPoser · 30/03/2015 23:49

Congratulations gherkin glad you're ok!

daholster · 31/03/2015 00:46

Think I am broken. I hurt so much! Desperate for the wind and cold to stay so we can make alternate, shorter, more restful lunch plans tomorrow instead...

Peppermint tea in hand, so tired and sleepy but so sore not sure I can settle...

Good luck tiny Smile

38 weeks now!

brummagem · 31/03/2015 02:56

Congratulations gherkin glad things are going well after a traumatic time!

It's a bit windy out there. It's also a bit windy indoors too. Big burps after schkoffing a vegetable biriyani and half a naan bread with that minty raita. Tree has actually collapsed into garden due to wind. Eek! Fortunately nothing huge like an oak more petite like a blossom tree thing. Dog will enjoy exploring that and being a right Houdini escaping out of the garden.

brummagem · 31/03/2015 03:00

Anyone else got clingy animals? My male cat is being very vocal demanding to be picked up (spent 30 mins bouncing on ball just lay in my arms) following me around the house and he's curled up next to me (he was lay on my hip) asleep now. He's neutered and is my cat (female cat is DHs) so likes fuss but this is more than normal.

Siarie · 31/03/2015 03:34

Yeah my male cat is being seriously clingy lately. I thought maybe it was just because I hadn't been giving him as much attention brummagem but maybe not!

RL20 · 31/03/2015 05:47

Morning everyone yawns Brew
Other half has gone off to work and this weather is keeping me up! I wouldn't mind the rain but the wind sounds really bad and it freaks me out! Shock Plus the cat is wide awake and running around. I've put Deal or No Deal on, see if it helps me get back to sleep!
Talking of wind, I trumped in the night and it woke me and my other half up Shock I did pretend I was still asleep though...somehow it makes it less embarrassing! Blush

Hope you managed to get a comfortable night sleep kismac?

Daholster you really are determined to get that room painted aren't you!
I give up with telling you to rest Wink.
Hope Peppa Pig World isn't too strenuous on you today!
I did Asda's Click and Collect for the first time yesterday which I'll be collecting today. Bump aches if I walk around too much, and from next week I think I'll get it delivered for the sake of £1/2.50. Purposely added no sweets to the basket, but I'm not guaranteeing that I won't get any when I go in to collect!

Roastpots wow not long! Grin How uncomfortable is the stretch and sweep on a scale of 1 to 10? Blush
I'm feeling a bit bunged up too. It's real effort having to get up to blow my nose, otherwise there's definitely no getting back to sleep.

Brummagem and Siarie I haven't noticed that my cats been any more clingy, but he's never been a clingy cat really.
I've been saying for weeks and weeks that we need to start closing our bedroom door so that he's used to it for when baby is in here. He's quite a jumpy, lively cat so no doubt he would try and get into the Moses basket! So of course I don't want to take any risks, but I just know he's going to feel sad when we shut the door!

37+1

ChickenMe · 31/03/2015 07:23

The evening before my waters went the cat was tearing around. She is now seriously out of sorts and scared of the new baby Sad

FiRaffe · 31/03/2015 07:31

No pets here, but I have a clingy DH instead! Hehe bless him I think he's just excited.

The weather sounds horrid out and my drive to work is along a well forested road. It freaks me out every time it's really windy as trees come down and block the road all the time.... It better be okay today!

Wineandchoccy · 31/03/2015 07:48

I've got a clingy male cat as well DH says he is going to change its name to Velcro because wherever I am the cat is, it looks most annoyed when it lies on my bump and the baby kicks Grin

daholster I hope you are ok this morning and manage lots of rest stops at Peppa pig world. Eek we are 38weeks today!

Midwife appt this morning and then lunch to say bye to my colleagues.
