Babies are now coming thick and fast... Let's see how many will come on this thread! Grin

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
daholster · 09/04/2015 06:35

Underwood yes it does! We may well be here at the same time.

Thanks for all good wishes. Glad I rang them again and got assessed. Stupidly they are unable to turn offiggts fully in labour suite (midwife apologised lots!) - physically impossible, silly design - so hardly any sleep. Some sorts of contractions waking me every 7 mins between 05.30 and 06.30 when I'd only been left at 0440... Very sleepy! Midwife said they may augment my labour this am but unsure, given blood loss I will not be allowed to labour in water which is disappointing. They will stab me with syntometrine in 3rd stage and have 4 units of blood on standby just in case Shock

Anyway, I'm knackered... We will see if today delivers our cheeky little boy though.

cinnamon no worries, the post itself in a way made me realise I was being ridiculous and ring again. penguin I'm glad I did!!!

Wow I'm tired... You other ladies who have been hanging around for induction must be exhausted!!!

39+2! D day?

daholster · 09/04/2015 06:37

Btw RL you and me laugh out loud with your shit window, along with your mortified post about your mistake in typing it!!! Still chuckling! It hurts, please stop it!!! Grin

Underwood2013 · 09/04/2015 07:03

Good luck wine!!!

daholster · 09/04/2015 07:05

underwood you have to connect to FPH red, open a new window, and on my phone when you try to load a page it says "unsafe", click on the link that says "advanced " and then it gives an option to connect anyway to unsafe site
Click yes and then you get the FPH internet connection page terms and conditions which you accept at the bottom then it works. Its dropped me out once but in 6hrs that's not the end of the world.

daholster · 09/04/2015 07:06

Btw earlier it should say "turn off lights"!!! Hmm

daholster · 09/04/2015 07:08

wine I missed your post! Exciting for you too! Due date buddies both with little eager babies! Hope it goes well. Can't believe you only just finished work, what a legend!!! Good luck! Smile

PenguinPoser · 09/04/2015 07:16

Yay for Wineandchoccy hope things get moving soon!

Ooh today is going to be exciting. I believe there are about 5 babies we are imminently expecting now? Cinnamon, Daholster, Wine, Brixton and Siarie if I remember correctly? Grin good job I have nothing better to do than feed baby and wave Pom poms on the sideline cheering you all on!

PenguinPoser · 09/04/2015 07:16

And RL I found your typo hilarious also Grin

cinnamongreyhound · 09/04/2015 07:24

Good luck wineandchoccy! And hope things get moving daholster.

Looks like several of us could share a dob with underwood2013 in today too. Hope all goes well Flowers

I'm back on monitor and contractions are every 2.5mins. Seems to be one bigger one then 2 smaller ones. She can't do anymore for me as midwives can only give 2 gels do will then be waiting for a Dr at 8.30 if she feels she wants to give me another. Baby has settled at a steady 140 and is on my right today.

BrixtonBunny has been quiet maybe she's had her baby already Grin

PenguinPoser · 09/04/2015 07:25

Ooh of course good luck underwood!

smogsville · 09/04/2015 07:30

daholster like the others I'm pleased you're in hospital too.

Great news roastpots, good luck with feeding!

RL I'm really sorry you couldn't shit the widow, that must have been a real bummer (sorry couldn't resist) GrinGrinGrin

Cinnamon we're all thinking of you, sorry you're stuck in there with dreadful other people. Hope today is the day for you. I know everyone bangs on about it being major surgery and whatnot but all this hanging around is what makes having a section an easy decision for me. As usual you seem to be displaying a very positive mental attitude, well done.

Nice one Wine, well done for staying calm, I guess the OHs can't physically feel what's happening so feel less in control and more inclined to have a little panic here and there.

Had monstrous night's sleep last night what with all the miniature wees but I can't complain as am at home in own bed and this is obviously par for the course for 38 wks. DH quite grumpy this morning as was out with work last night taking his new team for some sort of bonding curry, not terribly late or anything, home before 11 but I can tell from his vile sour breath that they had a fair bit of wine. He had better still bring me my tea!

He has just brought it but he is defo in a bad mood, charged in and dumped mug on bedside table. Oh well he will bugger off to work soon and then hopefully return repentant and with manners restored this evening.

Really looking forward to baby news today, good luck Siarie too as we haven't heard from you for a while.

AnniaFausta · 09/04/2015 07:31

Congratulations roastpots!

Good luck daholster - glad you're in the right place after a dramatic night!

Hope things get moving soon, cinnamon!

Good luck, wine and underwood!

Hmm. After a quiet evening of movements last night, baby appears quite quiet this morning. I think I am going to drink a large glass of chilled water and see if that generates any movement, and if not, will phone the midwives. Am getting the occasional little kick and flick, but not quite the massive wriggles of the last few days... it may just mean that baby's moved down far enough and no longer needs to move the bump down, but still.

cinnamongreyhound · 09/04/2015 07:38

Lady next to me is off to delivery suite, nearly cried when I heard her expression at her being 5-6cm dilated. She's been puffing away all night and was 1cm at midnight, so pleased for her! She's just called her hubby, I was like that with ds1 laboured all night on my own and couldn't wait for dh to get there.

Feeling more positive this morning actually smogsville, tightenings are every 2 mins now and getting stronger so really hoping this is it! If not they seem to be taking ladies across so will hopefully have a room to break my waters today if I'm dilated enough. Mum is going to bring my boys in today no matter what, missing them like crazy!!

daholster · 09/04/2015 08:01

Good idea annia.

cinnamon hooray!

Thanks for the pom poms penguin - my contractions seem to have eased off now I'm trying to get them going being upright Hmm Whatever, not going to stress about it.

Hopefully it will be a happy day for all of us! Flowers

smogs I have a brilliant image of your dh grumpily thumping down a cuppa and buggering off to work, lol!

AnniaFausta · 09/04/2015 08:05

Thankfully, with the help of a glass of chilled water and a cup of raspberry leaf tea, baby has obligingly produced upwards of ten movements within fifteen minutes, which I think the midwives would tell me is fine. Some of them were quite small movements that I think I would have missed if I was concentrating on something else, so that might explain yesterday afternoon/evening - it felt like there was a lot of gentle rearranging of limbs that I only felt because I had my hand on the bump, but that still shows everything is hunky-dory in there. But the raspberry leaf tea generated some bigger movements and little kicks too, so hopefully baby's waking up for the day.

FiRaffe · 09/04/2015 08:10

Congratulations roastpots!

I've got my fingers crossed for you cinnamon (making typing fun!) and daholster. Hope all those others already in have had babies and those going in today have success and aren't up like poor Sairie and cinnamon. How you've both kept so relatively calm I don't know - you need medals!

Had a rubbish night here, but guess it's to be expected at almost 38 weeks. It's our anniversary and DH's birthday today so going to make a cake then carluccios for tea.

Hidingthefear · 09/04/2015 08:40

Glad you mentioned birthday firaffe it's dh's next Wednesday. I wonder if I can hurry baby out on Tuesday and give him a son as a present, or is that cheating? Hmm
After wanting baby to hurry up I now need him to stay put until after Monday coz our boiler is broke and the guy can't come until Monday morning To fit a new one. Not an expense I wanted but I need to be able to fill my pool with warm water!,

Congrats roastpots

And good luck to all those in hospital/assessment Unit today! Fingers crossed the babies start making a move (and the staff remember you're there!!)

FiRaffe · 09/04/2015 08:50

Hehe Hiding! I've been rubbish with presents this year, baby has been blamed....oops!

Underwood2013 · 09/04/2015 08:57

Thanks daholster!

And thanks for well wishes all, today is pre-op only providing all is well... Then I am back in tomorrow morning bright & early for elcs...

Really hope things happen for you ladies today!!!

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 09/04/2015 09:04

Wow, good luck everyone with babies coming. Fingers crossed there are lots of happy baby updates very soon!!!

daholster · 09/04/2015 09:51

Drip is about to go up.... Duh duh duuuuuhhh... Apparently 2-3cm dilatd but not effaced yet and they want me to labour and hopefully deliver in the day not overnight because if a c section is needed it may be complicated. Also colorectal surgeon is going to come and advise them where to operate if needed to try to preserve what they need for further surgery. They are going to consult paeds about the HHT to see if it restricts the monitoring he can have due to bleeding risks if he has it too, very thorough. Smile

So, about to do what should be my last labour... If I am lucky enough to have any more children after this one, assuming I have had my surgery to remove the stoma the rest will have to be c sections.

So here goes... Nervous!

FiRaffe · 09/04/2015 09:55

Good luck daholster. Glad you're getting the care you need, wish everyone was having it!

Wineandchoccy · 09/04/2015 09:57

Good luck Daholster I hope things move along quickly for you.

I'm up and pacing the living room to try and get things moving before the hospital need to see me again which is 24hr after my waters broke as would probably need to stay in then.
I managed a couple of hours sleep and DH is still snoring away.

kismac · 09/04/2015 10:02

That's very exciting, Daholster. Hope things goes quickly for you.

Hope you are doing ok, cinnamon and today is a better day.

Wine, very impressed with your Zen like state. Hope that's me when the time comes.

All the best Underwood. Hope everything goes smoothly.

Congratulations Roasts!

DTD last night. It's only been 5 months! DH woke up last night and gave me a nudge I think me mentioning that if I go naturally means I may get water birth has spurred him on. He's just phoned and is disappointed that nothings happened. Ha ha.

TinyTear · 09/04/2015 10:14
