Hang in there cinnamon..,

daholster · 08/04/2015 23:30

Pad looks like I've had a bit of a mucusy but proper period Shock

A bit heartburny and feel just super pissed off!!! Not sure why, except that I feel ill and wanted stuff done that isnt... Poor dh...

Good luck cinnamon, you'd take lack of sleep to get your boy here Smile

mswibble · 08/04/2015 23:31

Wow cinnamon, it sounds like such a shambles! All that waiting around and uncertainty, not what anyone woman in our condition wants! I hope you manage a bit of rest tonight.

Your pics sound lovely fizzy! I think I'm another destined for a chunk of a baby but no scan or anything for me yet.

A power cut daholster? blimey! Hopefully that's all the excitement for you tonight!

My hormones must be going absolutely beserk at the moment, I can literally sob my heart out for no reason and at the drop of a hat. Blush

Lauren82000 · 08/04/2015 23:32

Sounds like things are moving Daholster. Wink

I've just had some big sliding movements... I will not read too much into it Grin

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 08/04/2015 23:56

Seems like it's all go on here today. Can hardly keep up. Hope things keep moving in the right direction for everyone. No sign of anything happening here. 40+1.

cinnamongreyhound · 09/04/2015 00:00

Right I'm going to try and sleep, midwife just said how unusual it is for labours to start with one gel like my other two and that third babies are often difficult but once they start they are quick, no idea how true that is. She's lovely and I'm starting to wonder if I was ever favourable enough to have my waters broken and if the younger midwife who's been on the last two days has just been a bit crap seeing a Dr examined me and told her to give me a gel straight away. Oh well, is done now. Dh has gone home in a rage and I'm very teary! Sleep will hopefully come and I will be refreshed for a third gel or who knows in the morning. Will have to see a Dr to get a third one apparently so we'll see. Sleep well everyone Flowers

daholster · 09/04/2015 00:15

Night cinnamon. I'm panicking because I feel ill and this is all so weird compared to last time, baby is quiet and the gushing/bleeding in the pad makes me feel I will mess the bed. No big contractions, just uncomfy and nauseous, it feels weird.

I know I need to sleep but I keep worrying I'll wake and my baby will be dead Sad Probably totally stupid but that is how I feel. You are probably all asleep now but you'd probably say ring the midwives again. I'll give it 30 mins. This is horrible Sad

daholster · 09/04/2015 00:32

I made him wriffle by prodding his head. I'm going to go to sleep and trust that my body knows what its doing. Night all x

roastpots · 09/04/2015 00:58

Baby girl born in the birthing pool at 4.15pm this afternoon! End stage of labour went crazy fast! In hospital tonight - just trying to get to grips with feeding. Could really do with some sleep!

daholster · 09/04/2015 02:10

Wow that was quick! Congratulations roastpots!!! Enjoy her Smile

I am at triage because I have been soaking pads with what looks like blood. The midwife seems pretty chilled though says it looks like blood, could be "normal blood" so just waiting to have speculum and monitor. There is no one else here in triage at the moment patient wise. The midwife is LOVELY. Fingers crossed.

ChickenMe · 09/04/2015 02:33

Congratulations roastpots hope you get the hang of feeding and get some kip. Natures cruel trick - the marathon of labour should come with a guaranteed 24hrs snooze built in.
Hope you're ok daholster-hopefully as it is quiet you'll find out soon about the blood.
Hoping cinnamon got some sleep?

daholster · 09/04/2015 03:35

So, interesting. Waters have gone apparently! But not dilated and still quite a lot of blood so they want to monitor baby and make sure it's not a haemorrhage from placental abruption or something. If I haven't gone into labour by 7pm I'll be induced... Not keen on that idea so will be doing what I can! Got to be here til morning ward round to see consultant anyway. Netter drink my tea and toast, don't foresee much sleep!

brummagem · 09/04/2015 03:51

ooh daholster so pleased you're in hospital and have all the right people to keep a check on things. Hope you enjoyed your tea and toast. Fingers crossed for you!

Well done Roast. Congratulations on your new bundle of joy.

Cinnamon sorry to hear everything is still a bit slow and rubbish hope it all kicks off tomorrow /today for you

daholster · 09/04/2015 04:08

Thanks brum. And you are awake because...? Ah, you are very pregnant, that's it!

Nothing more than irregular Braxton hicks on the monitor so far, along with a baby that will not stay still long enough for the trace to be done properly!!! He is having a rave!!! Smile

cinnamongreyhound · 09/04/2015 04:11

Congratulations roastpots!

Sorry not to have seen your sad post daholster, glad you're with the right people and hope all goes well.

Definitely getting some tightenings/contractions as they've woken me but not really enough to be awake iyswim. Just getting up for a wee and hopefully PPP back to sleep for an hour before the examine me at 5-6am.

PenguinPoser · 09/04/2015 04:38

Congratulations roastpots!

Daholster I was just reading back and when you said you were going to bed I was like nooo ring the hospital! So pleased you're there now. Hope all is ok on the monitor etc. Another baby on the way!

Cinnamon sorry you're having such a long drawn out process and hope that you've managed another hours sleep Flowers

brummagem · 09/04/2015 05:04

DH said to be awake early to drop him into work. Grin guarantee will drop off 5 minutes before he wakes up. He's not normally in work until 9-10am lol.

Listening to birds start their chorus feeling bump having a good rummage and groaning every time I move and roll over due to achy pelvis after walking the dog think covered near 2 miles at an epically slow pace. Sad state of affairs I used to jog 7k Shock still my lovely hound is 14 and his back legs aren't what they used to be. Shorter walk today to ease out the limbs me thinks.

Good luck Cinnamon! Flowers

RL20 · 09/04/2015 05:56

Congratulations roastpots!

And glad you are in hospital Daholster (for the right reasons, obviously!). Hope all is ok.

I feel like I'm overdue with all these babies appearing, but I'm not due til the 20th! Grin.

Crap nights sleep for me. Actually doesn't feel like I've been to sleep at all! And considering I went to bed later than normal, I thought I'd be more tired but couldn't get sleep for a couple of hours, had restless leg, so got up to walk and had a cereal bar to eat, and then seemed to be awake every half an hour/hour.
Now I'm awake because other half has gone to work, so hopefully I can get a few more hours sleep now.
But Brummagem I'm listening to the birds singing, like you! Hard to switch off when they're singing through the gap in the window - but can't shit the widow because I'm hot!

Hope everyone's had a good night sleep, and good luck to all those with new babies/in labour!!!

RL20 · 09/04/2015 05:57

Obviously meant shut the window, not shit! Shock

RL20 · 09/04/2015 05:58

Omg I had actually put 'shit the widow'.

**SHUT THE WINDOW!!

FizzyBubbly · 09/04/2015 06:03

Congratulations Roastpots! Enjoy the newborn snuggles!

I doubt it's where you want to be right now Daholster but I'm glad you're in hospital being checked. Hooray for the lovely midwife and fingers crossed things get moving without induction.

I take it from your posts you haven't had much sleep Cinnamon? Hope you've managed a few hours here and there and that today is more successful for you

cinnamongreyhound · 09/04/2015 06:08

I did thanks PenguinPoser, woke up about 10mins ago due to a contraction. Had two since, not massively painful but definitely something happening, hope after monitoring I can move around and start making them do something. Fog horn woman at the end was on the phone at 5am full volume with lights up as high as they'd go Sad

Underwood2013 · 09/04/2015 06:20

Congrats roastpots!!

Daholster am glad to hear you are in hospital where they can make sure all is well. Fingers crossed you get to meet baby soon. We may be there at the same time, I'm coming in tomorrow for elcs...! Not very important side question - does fph have wifi?

Cinnamon hope the gels are starting to work their magic!!

Wineandchoccy · 09/04/2015 06:26

Eek my waters went at 3.45am this morning!! Been seen in triage all ok but sent home to try and get things moving. I have back ache and had a couple of contractions.
Having a bowl of cereal and a cup of tea, DH remaking bed and then I'm going to try and get a couple more hours sleep before the bouncing, pacing starts.
I'm surprisingly calm and DH is a little stressed Grin
