With our swamp fanjos and supermarket jobbies it's all going on in our knickers. It's a wonder our men agree to deliver the prostaglandin injections but then we are the 24th Just Shagging Grads!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 24th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is herein its 41st outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs herefor once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

The stats sheet is here

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Just read back and read your comments on the Oct due thread. I totally agree - actually removed my name from the list a couple of weeks ago as I can't be arse to post on it anymore. But I do still stalk it incase they have any good links or ideas....

...speaking of which, have any of you got/used a home fetal heart monitor? Someone on the Oct thread mentioned it. I had no idea they were so cheap (looking at the angelsounds one), so I'm tempted to buy one. But will it make me more neurotic, not less???

Toast85 · 20/03/2015 18:16

Not read back through all the posts from today yet, will do in a min.

Towns i definitely think a doppler would fuel the crazy in me. There is no way I am getting one. There's already enough to worry about and I'm trying my best to keep on top of it as it... Not finding a heartbeat would flip me over the edge I think.

I am the last person you'd find in a bath usually- but i'd been thinking recently how much I wanted one. I had a Lush bath melt left over from a Christmas present which I'd not used yet, so duly ran my bath and plonked it in, trouble is I spent the first half of the bath worrying that it might be too hot, the second half feeling a little chilly, and since then the plug hole has been draining really slowly and I think there must be lumps of Lush goo buried down there somewhere. So I think that's the end of my pregnant bathing experience!

willywallace · 20/03/2015 18:17

A doppler do you mean? La has one. It could be nice if you want to listen to the baby. Someone gave me one during my first pg and tbh I couldn't really be arsed to use it much. They say as long as you aren't using them for reassurance and still contact mw if changes to movement etc.

Toast85 · 20/03/2015 18:27

Aah DH has just won some major points by offering to go do the foodshop all on his own, and all I have to do is sit on my arse browsing t'internet empty and reload the dishwasher.
I think that makes up for him being able to drink champers in Barcelona on his 30th next weekend whilst I make do with lemonade, whereas by the time it is my 30th I shall be whale sized and beached on the sofa unable to reach the bubbly, and he'll still be allowed to drink on my behalf.

Lemondrizzletwunt · 20/03/2015 19:27

Just found a really interesting link about hot tubs etc when preg...

willywallace · 20/03/2015 19:33

God it's so bloody scary being pregnant, you can't do anything!

Lemondrizzletwunt · 20/03/2015 19:36

It is the patriarchy's way of making us insignificant and confining us to their comfort zones

A lot of those studies are so bloody flawed though, honestly, why even bother carrying out a study if you’re going to do such a shit job? You may as well become a science correspondent for the fucking daily mail.

townsender · 20/03/2015 20:29

Is 8:30pm too early to go to bed? DP has gone to the pub, there's nothing on TV, and I think I've read enough MN for one evening.

I'm crap with links, but the one below in AIBU is worth a read for a giggle. Poor OP just digs herself a bigger hole every time she replies....

townsender · 20/03/2015 20:33

Lemon, I'm with you on that. In the bulk of the article it sounds like there's evidence for a small increased risk during the 1st trimester. So how come the conclusion is for pregnant women to avoid hot tubs and saunas throughout pregnancy 'to be on the safe side'??

TheBooMonster · 20/03/2015 20:41

town that thread is truly bizarre, though I actually think the system they have in place is pretty awesome...

Pisghetti · 20/03/2015 20:43

Walk - tick
Hot curry - on order
Breast pump - ready and waiting for after curry

Ha this little one thinks she's got the better of me eh? Mwah ha ha! might be slightly hysterical/delusional

Shagging after the pumping pis? You have until midnight for my (unpaid) sweepstake day!

Is the flapjack recipe shareable boo?

How about a home birth in the garden gaggia? Then the mess is out of the house and can be returned to nature. Charge neighbours for viewing, like OBEM live. Sorted!

I have an angel sound town, but was pretty unsuccessful hearing things. Not tried in a few weeks though so might be worth another go as midwife heard it today so I know it's in there.

Thanks popz, will try and keep it under wraps but maybe see doc if I can't.

KatoPotato · 20/03/2015 21:05

I Got my section date... Eep!

DulcetMoans · 20/03/2015 21:07

RPopz · 20/03/2015 21:37

Nipple tweaking Pis don't forget the nipple tweaking!

TheBooMonster · 20/03/2015 21:51

dulcet flapjacks to increase breast milk
Melt 320g butter, 6tbsp golden syrup and 300g light brown soft sugar in a pan. In a bowl mix together 500g oats with 150g flaxseed then add to the butter and sugar mixture. Thats basically it for the mix, it makes a large batch I use a large roasting tin and line with greaseproof paper to make sure it doesnt stick and bake for roughly 25 mins at 180° or until golden around the edges (will look runny until left to set) I leave it 10 mins to cool slightly then use a knife to score it into portions usually rectangle fingers. For added effect include 2 tablespoons of brewers yeast to the mix.

Though I'd say start with 1 tablespoon of brewers yeast as it's a bit strong, and make sure to watch it in the over, ours is a bit... toothsome... but tastes fab all the same! I have no idea where it originates from, one of the girls in my DIA Breastfeeding group posted it.

TheBooMonster · 20/03/2015 21:56

MrBoo is playing Diablo Angry Tomorrow a strange woman will shove a hormone filled tampon in my fanjo with her whole hand to bring on labour and he is playing bloody Diablo whilst I pace the house trying to preempt things MiL will want to tidy or move... If he so much as turns the computer on in baby's first month I will throw his computer screen out the window!

and a pineapple core smoothie pis and raspberry leaf tea passes you the other box I bought

gaggiagirl · 20/03/2015 22:34

What does RLT taste like boo?
You're going to be awesome tomorrow. I'm so excited for you.

teejayem · 20/03/2015 22:46

I can't give it to him i had to go for specific day delivery to avoid the days he's wfh, so it arrives Monday.
I'm going to tell him what's happened though. He absolutely isn't expecting her to get him said item, I was given all the specific details of configuration etc he wanted so he knows I'm getting it for him. I spoke to SiL earlier and apparently mil has been even more of a nightmare than normal this week (I actuslly think she has undiagnosed depression, but anyway) and SiL is on the verge of murder too, which has made me feel a bit better. I also discovered that the duplicate present is actually an older model and not exactly the one he wants, so I'm just going to roll with it tomorrow and speak to her afterwards. This hasn't been a good day! I had a terrible pooh incident earlier and although I don't seem to have piles, (yet) the Boulder that took me 40 minutes to evict has given me some kind of bum tear, there was blood and I cried because it hurt so much. Mr tee was trying to get into the bathroom becasue he was worried, but I wasn't in a place where I wanted him to witness anal horror. :( . It's my own fault, I didn't drink anywhere near enough water yesterday or last night and with the codeine.... I should just know better. :(

Kato that is so exciting! Eek!

boomyounare nearly there! Gadzooks!

I had a dream About giving birth in the garden pis under a trellis on a bank of moss. It was... Weird... But dewy.

willywallace · 20/03/2015 23:08

It's not great Gaggia.

That's crap Tee but at least you have got the right one.

Falling asleep whilst typing - really hoping for a good night.

Pisghetti · 20/03/2015 23:22

RLT from Holland and Barrett tastes lovely. Twinings tastes of arse.

Oh Tee trauma poos are the worst Sad good prep for labour though. Practice letting the pelvic floor goooo.....

I've done my best for tonight. Managed to express about a tablespoon of milk which is freaky Confused

Good luck sleeping tonight Boo! Good luck for tomorrow too!
