Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 24th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is herein its 41st outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs herefor once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

The stats sheet is here

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Is there something specific that you're anxious about Dulce? Or is it just generalised? I found I was super anxious but it passed after the first trimester. Medication shouldn't be your only option. I'd see the GP if the mw is being dismissive x

LaLaLaaaa · 20/03/2015 12:15

That's good value boo! I was quoted £375 for same package.

Mil bought us a beautiful baby shawl/blanket :)

Bat he needs a slap!!!!

Fleur a lot of goats cheese is pasteurised so do check with them

Pisghetti · 20/03/2015 12:37

Hahaha Dulcet! I like it! Snappy, to the point, it may well be what Daisy lady says (I always fall asleep). I'm a little worried about using the moves La - miniPis has gone from partially engaged to free after class on Wednesday Shock

I had a newborn photo shoot booked for Tuesday Hmm it's on hold for now.

I feel like I've pulled a muscle in my lower tummy. A sign of impending labour or desperate unfitness ?

Pisghetti · 20/03/2015 12:40

Oh and Bat that does deserve a slap! Maybe suggest he supports you by not drinking for the next seven months. When he refuses, kindly suggest he shuts the fuck up then as it's unfair and you're entitled to a little moan that it is you that has to make all the sacrifices and go through all the wondrous bodily joys of pregnancy and he doesn't.

OP posts:
TheBooMonster · 20/03/2015 13:26

la I think it was called a cherub shoot or something like that, I got the impression there are several places across the country that do them, they're in association with the dreaded bounty

pis how frustrating! The place I've gone with said to book in advance of the birth and I was all Hmm because there's such a huge gap that the baby can come in and they wanted to do the shots in the first 10 days, the induction did make it considerably easier to book, else I'd have probably gone with a bump shoot for the first of the three shoots. I keep getting a pulled muscle feeling during the night, I think it's general pregnancy stretchiness but I could be wrong...

fleur I've been eating goats cheese throughout, didn't realise it was on the banned list...

DulcetMoans · 20/03/2015 13:31

Isabella is lovely too boo so either way she will have a great name!

Just keep saying it pis, it will help. Wink

It's not one specific thing popz but it's not really baby related - not sure if that's me channeling into other things though. It's mainly work and family, just stupid things as well. I know it's not like me but if I try and talk about it I want to cry so couldn't explain it to her too much. She was ok but only mentioned pills and I think I can manage without. Just don't want to make a stressy baby because I'm stressing!

Anyway, it's international day of happiness so I hope you are all doing things to make you happy!

teejayem · 20/03/2015 13:32

Just been informed by SiL that mil has bought Mr Tee exactly the same item I've bought him for his birthday, after deciding the other things shed'd bought weren't enough and making a mental note of me telling her what I'd bought him
That woman is a fucking nightmare, furious doesn't even begin to cover it. I don't think I'm going to have time to return it (online purchase) and get a refund and I actually don't know what else to get him. i could actually cry. In fact I might. :(
Th fact that she is givin it to him tomorrow ahead of his birthday just makes me think she's done it on purpose as I'm a bit traditional and only give gifts on the day.
Aaaargh.

gaggiagirl · 20/03/2015 13:53

Oh tee I would be fucking furious!

I'm now officially booked in! That's the good news. The bad news is that the fabulous mlu that I had the cross ginger one on has closed down! due to lack of busyness.
This now means i have to give birth in the massive busy general hospital 30 mins away in cunt town. Feel totally gutted.

ZylaB · 20/03/2015 13:54

tee make an exception, give it to him today! Then explain you'd told his mum but she then went and got the same! Then he knows exactly what's happened! It's not your fault, it's her's! Beat her to it!

RPopz · 20/03/2015 14:01

Shock Tee! Get in there first and give him it now!! Grin

Aw, gaggia Sad. That is a common problem with these birth centres I think. The one in my home town shut down for same reason. Such a shame. Would you consider home birth?

Pis - I'm sure 2nd and subsequent babies don't engage right til last minute!! So don't worry Wink

Aw Dulce. I think I found every thing more stressful/ emotional when I was upduffed. Bloody hormones. Can identify with work and family strifes! We're always here for moaning anyway Wink

Fattycow · 20/03/2015 14:10

tee, she sounds delightful...

My MIL is a bit annoying as well. She keeps saying she will pay for a playpen for us, but still hasn't done so. I know which one I would like, but I have no clue about how much she is willing to spend and if she is funding the blanket/mat for it as well...

gaggiagirl · 20/03/2015 14:22

popz I would but I have cream carpets and as you may already know from the undergrads thread I've got a cleaning 'problem' as in nothing is ever clean enough. My house is a bleachy
Haven.
Sadly that's my sole reason for not wanting a home birth. God I sound like a nutcase.
I'm happy to give birth in the car though.

.

Pisghetti · 20/03/2015 14:59

Plastic sheeting Ga? Also useful when your foof has been repaired for slippery baby oil sexy times

OP posts:
TheBooMonster · 20/03/2015 15:34

tee I'd be furious! I'd go with make an exception and give it to him early, then express surprise when he opens MiL's present (preferably in front of her) and say something like "oh my MiL, I could have sworn I told you that I got DH that exact thing, what a shame, oh well, I'm sure you still have the receipt"

I have decided to fuck the cleaning and tidying of downstairs, I'll do it tomorrow morning to keep me distracted, DH and I made breastmilk boosting flapjacks and cookies this afternoon instead. Though DH has developed a bit of a taste for the flapjacks! The cookies smell a bit grim, I hope they taste nicer than they smell Hmm

RPopz · 20/03/2015 15:42

Yeah I think they bring you miles of plastic sheeting to put down ga Wink But yeah I get that. That was one of the things that put me off a hb. That and the dogs.... Shock

Fattycow · 20/03/2015 15:59

Thankfully we don't have carpeting in our house!

Lemondrizzletwunt · 20/03/2015 16:14

Ga don't be silly, of course you get sheeting. How on earth are you supposed to play placenta curling across the living room floor without the plastic sheeting? Grin

Indigoblue2 · 20/03/2015 16:30

gags I thought girls called Harriet were hard as fuck and everything? Can't go letting a bit of goo put you off. Man up woman!

pis and boo I'm so excited for you guys, come on and have a baby already Smile

minimooo · 20/03/2015 16:30

lemon Grin placenta curling sounds fun and gross at the same time!

Shock tee your mil is just awful! I agree - give him his present today and beat her to it.

bat that really does deserve a slap. What a thing to say!

Great to hear from you lauren! Glad things are looking positive.

Lovely names boo

I received mothercare order this morning, full of exciting stuff. We got a bouncer which I've just constructed (it looks well cute Smile) and a scary looking breast pump which took me ages to work out. Can't wait for the guys to start on the nursery so that we've got somewhere to put baby stuff away properly.

Swimming tonight - really enjoying it at the moment. So nice to take the weight off my back and hips for half an hour.

I'm not keen on Lush either - I just find their products smell too strongly.

batfish · 20/03/2015 16:42

Ooh I can't believe none of you like Lush - I absolutely love it. A dream gift for me would be one of those massive boxes that are so expensive that nobody would ever buy it for me!

And that reminds me - are we allowed baths? I know Jacuzzis are a no no so I guess that baths are for the same reason. I never ever have baths but have been really wanting one recently.

Well mr bat didn't get a slap but I did tell him that his comment upset me. He said he was joking and I said it didn't sound like it, it sounded like he was saying shut up you shouldn't be moaning. He then said no what I meant was that it's all for a good outcome so although he knows it's hard for me it will all be worth it in the end. So I said well that would have been a lovely thing to say but I didn't really translate 'oh because being pregnant is just so awful' into that. Said if he did mean that (whih he blatantly didn't) then he should have said exactly that. And I said that of course it's all good but it doesn't mean that I don't find it hard that I can't join in properly with what everyone else is doing. So he apologised and therefore remained unslapped. I think I'm just feeling a bit like I want to be wrapped in cotton wool a little bit by him instead of going about life as normal! Even though I have absolutely no need for that as am feeling totally fine haha.

batfish · 20/03/2015 16:43

tee that is so annoying I can't believe your MIL would do that! You should definitely tell your man that you had told her what you were buying for him.

Pisghetti · 20/03/2015 17:06

Ooh your MIL gives me the rage Tee Angry why the fuck should you be the one to have to return and find another gift for him? It's such pathetic one-up-manship on her part. You MUST give him yours early and insist she returns hers. What a twat! Oooh I've got sooo much rage to give.....

OP posts:
willywallace · 20/03/2015 17:08

Tee definitely beat her to it and then buy small token thing for his actual birthday. You'll have to tell him why though. Is there any way she's being a bit dottery and has forgotten you said it but then the idra was in her head? or is she just a complete mentallist

You can have baths Bat, just not really hot ones. I only like really hot ones though. I've been wanting a bath for two months now and still not had time for one. (I do shower Grin ). I have total respect for people who have their shit together enough to get a newborn photo shoot done. I was ages before I could get out the house for a certain time after MiniWil was born.

townsender · 20/03/2015 17:23

Late to the party again, sorry viroids.

Name: Town
Age:34
Bump: 12+5 days old

Boo how exciting!!! All my fingers crossed for you tomorrow, hope it goes as smoothly as it can and you'll soon be holding miniboo in your arms.
Pis, step away from the pineapple before you do yourself a fruit-salad related injury!!
tee I would be furious. Your MiL sounds like an absolute nightmare. Totally jump her and give him your pressie early.
bat sounds like mr bat got the message. Glad you're feeling ok, I'm whinging so much that there's no way mr town could forget I've feeling shit.

I've been away for a few days hols with DP as he starts a new job on Monday, and I managed to persuade him to take a week off between jobs. It was nice, but sadly the posh restaurants we went to were totally wasted on me - forgot just how shit I would feel at 12 weeks preggers when I booked it, and would much rather have been eating toast and marmite. Good to get out of London and into the fresh air though.

Goats cheese - definitely ok raw, as long as it is made from pasteurised milk. Revelation this weekend - I was getting all sad at the delicious looking cheese trolley in a restaurant, but I asked and 4 of the cheeses were pasteurised so I could have them!! They were AMAZING (and 2 of them were goats cheese).

Baths - I'm not a bath person and definitely not a LUSH lover. But think baths are fine when pg as long as they are not too hot. Its the temperature that's the issue for jacuzzis. Had a jacuzzi bath yesterday, put too much bath gel in and had bubbles about a foot higher than the top of the bath Grin

Indigoblue2 · 20/03/2015 17:30

tee your mil is beyond a joke. Beyond a motherfucking joke man.
