With our swamp fanjos and supermarket jobbies it's all going on in our knickers. It's a wonder our men agree to deliver the prostaglandin injections but then we are the 24th Just Shagging Grads!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 24th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is herein its 41st outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs herefor once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

The stats sheet is here

So, roll call below please, viroids!

la I use a caboo close which me and H love, but I'm not sure how well it'll do as she grows, juni is a bit of a sling expert, pop over and have a chat with her?

LaLaLaaaa · 31/03/2015 08:11

Thanks zyla!

Purple I've forgotten a few times and receptionist just gives me pot when I get there to go pee in

PixieChops · 31/03/2015 08:12

What Id like to know is just how much wee is sufficient? I never fill it to the top but about half way, can it be less than that? Is there some general consensus that determines how much wee should be used in a sample? These are the kind of things that run through my brain in the middle of the night when not looking after DD

Fleurchamp · 31/03/2015 09:04

I fill the bad boy up!!

Have a midwife appointment today, hopefully I will get to hear the heartbeat again Grin

My skin is lovely and clear for the first time in years. I never got teenage acne, it started when I was 30!!! Hopefully it will stay this way after the baby is here

willywallace · 31/03/2015 09:09

They only need a dribble to put a stick in. I have issues with aim...

willywallace · 31/03/2015 10:09

Who can start new fred?

Pisghetti · 31/03/2015 10:47

I got some plastic cups for the bathroom when I was POAS daily..... I find I can fill one easily then decant. I piss all over my hand trying to pee in those little pots.

waves goodbye sadly to my lucky Fred Who's next?

Interesting La. White noise and bed sharing are BabyB's great loves regardless of what we want. I'm going to invest in Ewan and possibly a co sleeper. We experimented last night with her regular cot by the bed in DP's place but because of 'feet to foot' she couldn't see us and I couldn't easily pop my hand on her to soothe her.

I pee into a pyrex jug and then put into sample pots. Even then I still manage to get wee on myself, I can't see my food over the bump so I half squat over said jug and hope for the best. Last appt I didn't need a wee until the minute we had to leave and my poor mum was waiting for me downstairs. I can only assume that my lady, ahem, lips were at a funny angle as the wee stream did NOT go at the conventional angle, so I got jeans socks and knickers covered, and barely a dribble for the jug. Couldn't hide it either, I can't get dressed on my own because of my back so she had to help me get pissy clothes of which I think she found V funny. Hmm
Baby is very diagonal again. There is a head in my ribs and a bum right under my hip (Or the other way round, but think that might be wishful thinking as I've not felt him turn...). I am uncomfortable.
On the upside my horrendous pirate print wide leg palazzo trousers have arrived and I am tormenting Mr Tee as he's working from home with Piratey sounds every few minutes :D

teejayem · 31/03/2015 11:15

food = foof...

freshstart4us · 31/03/2015 11:58

Pixie mw only needs a tiny dribble.

Loving the pee-in-a-pot challenges! Am 30 wks today, still moving quite freely but occasionally try to bend down and am swiftly reminded that I need to readjust that movement given that I don't flex at the waist anymore. Confused

Am generally very lucky with my skin but the hair thing is a bit of a challenge. Both pgs mine has just stopped growing, but also stopped falling out. Great because I can now shave my legs weekly rather than daily, but as I have loads of hair anyway the not falling out thing means I am starting to look like a cartoon character with an enormous bouffant.

Great article La. Looking back, I think I just went with the flow with DD and held her a LOT in the first 12 weeks, I didn't have much success with the sling I bought so just learnt to do everything one-handed. Fortunately my housekeeping standards are pretty low. Grin Am thinking will do the same this time round. They really are only tiny for such a short period of time, and in the scheme of things 3-6 months is nothing.

mountaingirl01 · 31/03/2015 12:30

Advice viroids.. I am 15+5. Someone I know is selling a silver cross pram for £65. Am I tempting fate to buy it? Or am I taking advantage of a good offer and getting a pram I couldn't otherwise afford?

batfish · 31/03/2015 12:54

mountaingirl personally I don't worry about the tempting fate thing - I don't believe that buying something could affect baby's health - however I know a lot of people do worry about it and that's natural! Maybe buy it and ask someone else to store it for you if you're worried so that you don't have it in the house? Seems like a compromise

freshstart4us · 31/03/2015 12:58

Good suggestion bat! mountain I'm in two minds, I don't think about it as tempting fate per se, but having a tiny house would be worried about the storage space. So if you can have it stored elsewhere (or have a big enough house to put it out of sight, out of mind so to speak) then go for it.

teejayem · 31/03/2015 13:21

I'd go for it mountain - although I am not superstitious at all and have assembled and set up every baby thing I've bought as its arrived... And I'm glad I did actually because I think if I'd have left it much later I would have been too hurty to bother!

Pisghetti · 31/03/2015 14:10

Sounds like a bargain mountain. We bought the Moses basket at about that stage. Quick pics of BabyB on her birth Fred Smile

ChatEnOeuf · 31/03/2015 14:11

That's a great deal, Mountain, do it!

I have a stretchy, La. Good for around 5-6 months, then I will probably move to the Beco SSC we had with DD. Loved carrying DD around, as did she. Made for many fewer tears that way too.

willywallace · 31/03/2015 14:37

What birth thread Pis?

If it's good quality Mountain get it but go and test it out first.

Pleeeeaase someone do a new thread.

La you must test out a carrier before buying. I haven't liked any so far. They all hurt my back.

Pisghetti · 31/03/2015 15:16

This birth Fred Wil! There's two pics on my post above - you're on app are you?

I'm borrowing a stretchy from my friend (not seen her yet though) and then I'll be trying to get to a few sling library meets to test out some different options. I read up on what the abbreviations, types and sizes meant so I have a better idea what I'm looking for. Have a look at 'rucking marvellous' La for some basics.

Oh haha I'm so thick. Will go check them out.

willywallace · 31/03/2015 15:21

Oh she's adorable!

ZylaB · 31/03/2015 15:40

pis she's lovely! :)

teejayem · 31/03/2015 15:51

Pis she is just adorable! You've put me in the mood to iron muslins....

I would really like a sling but I'me worried about my back, I'd really prefer a cloth lentil weavey one as oppose to something akin to a sports rucksack, but I know I am going to need a lumbar support so I think I might be a bit limited. We've decided to hang on until he turns up before getting one...

Pisghetti · 31/03/2015 15:57

Wah we need a new Fred people!! Tee from what I was reading yesterday cloth slings are way better for your back than 'commercial' carriers as the baby's weight is held closer to your body. There's a million and one different ways of tying them too so there's bound to be some version that provides additional back support? Sorry that I've inspired you to iron Wink
