Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 24th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is herein its 41st outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs herefor once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

The stats sheet is here

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Good luck for today Boo and you Pis as today is obviously labour day. What time are you in?

Aargh we have left our heating too high. I'm dying a slow sweaty death but can't move as have a baby on top of me.

teejayem · 21/03/2015 06:04

Good luck boo! Will be thinking of you today!:) you're having a baybeeeeeeee!

pis I actually said to dp that if anything good came from trauma poo it was the deep breathing I did to try and manage the situation and then the relief tears. So like a very small practice labour.

TheBooMonster · 21/03/2015 06:34

I've got to be there at three, so I have all day to wind myself up about it and work out where the hell in the garden to bury the chicken who had the audacity to die over night I slept surprisingly well last night apart from waking up form an hour and a half at 2, a last lie in would have been nice though!

DulcetMoans · 21/03/2015 06:37

What needs to be hammered at 0610 in the morning?! My neighbours are DIY obsessed. Or just hate the thought we might want to sleep in...

Good luck today boo, can't wait to hear from you! Are you allowed to eat this morning? Get a good breakfast if you can.

Would you DH tell her to take it back if it's not what he wants and he knows you are getting the right thing tee?

Was 11-5.30 the sleep you got wil? Not too awful if it was...

Went to a babied friend yesterday who showed me all her products. I want a morrck now - after learning you aren't meant to put baby in a car seat in a coat. So many rules!

LaLaLaaaa · 21/03/2015 06:55

We are all up early this morning!

Good luck boo! What time are you going in? Yay new grads baby! Will you all stop jumping the queue though please, you're messing my stats up ;)

Pis how are you doing?????

I'm surviving mil visit but it's hard work

So far I'm having a humongous baby, highlight of my wedding was when her daughter sang and she's surprised my spare bed is comfortable. She's upset the cat by not letting him in spare room (his favourite place for watching birds) so he's yowling and won't settle and she's been pissed since she got here.

But! She's done my garden (she's a gardener) and she means well

Fleurchamp · 21/03/2015 07:07

Another one up early!

Today the builders arrive to start making a mess preparing things to start properly on Monday, they'll be here by 8 so I need to be out of my pjs soon.

I am dreading it. I best be able to get to my sofa and blanket still Smile

Your MILs all sound bonkers! I am quite fortunate as mine is, if anything, too keen not to offend that she ends up winding me up because she won't just say what she wants or thinks. She doesn't relax when she's at our house and is jumpy. If I ask her if she wants a cup of tea I get "oh if it's no trouble, don't worry if you're not having one, I'll make it..." I wouldn't offer if I didn't mind making it.

Good luck for today boo and pis it would be great to have two JS babies today no pressure

LaLaLaaaa · 21/03/2015 07:17

Doh! You already said 3 boo, I need to read properly

Dulcet I'd be banging on the door telling them to stfu!

LaLaLaaaa · 21/03/2015 07:23

Towns - I have a Doppler and it's great, but you need to remember that it's the movements that count not the hb. So it's nice to hear the hb but still let mw know any change in movements.

To hear hb you need to go about 3 inches lower than where you think - dulcet that might be why you're not hearing anything. I normally get the hb by putting it actually on my foof! So many women panic using dopplers because they can't hear anything but they are listening too high up. Try it and see if it's any better

LaLaLaaaa · 21/03/2015 07:28

Gaggia I've got visions of you giving birth in pool at home surrounded by sheeting whilst dd whizzes past sliding on it going 'weee!' Whilst simultaneously drinking nail polish and Cunthawk hovers above waiting for an opportunity to snatch the placenta

Yes perhaps not a home birth...

I'm starting to get aches and pains, my hips feel creaky and my back tired. Today we are going for a walk. Yay... :(

batfish · 21/03/2015 07:43

Stretch mark cream - worth it or is it just normal moisturiser packaged in a way as to rip off pregnant ladies? My mum has terrible stretch marks and apparently they're hereditary so I'm keen to start some avoidance techniques ASAP!

la hope your walk loosens you up a bit rather than make you more achey, the later stages of pregnancy sound hard work!

I am also v lucky with MIL, she is amazingly helpful and doesn't let us lift a finger when she is around but somehow does it without being intrusive! Would be amazing to be in the same country as them when baby bat arrives Sad

TheBooMonster · 21/03/2015 07:50

I've not been told not to eat, I plan on gorging until I leave the house! I'll probably get dinner, but if I end up on delivery before breakfast tomorrow then I'm unlikely to get any more food (apart from lukewarm toast) until either we go into the postnatal ward or I'm evicted to go home (depending on how baby and I are doing and if I can wrangle some ward time before we have to go home and deal with family). In brighter news the chicken is fine, just daft as ever, and very upset that I came at her with rubber gloves and a box earlier when she was sunning herself in the drizzle...

Mother in laws are truly bizarre creatures, I wonder if their behaviour is coloured by that of their own mother-in-laws and this is some sort of pass it on payback?

Toast85 · 21/03/2015 08:07

Good luck boo! So glad the chicken is alive and well too, one less thing to worry about today. Can you put your feet up til 3?

willywallace · 21/03/2015 08:19

Where do you live Bat? I would say normal moisturiser/ bio oil as good as fancy cream but I don't really have any stretch marks so maybe not the most reliable source.

Why can't you eat before induction Boo? Is it in case you need CS?

Baby did 11.45-5.15 Dulcet Smile . Obviously I was awake at half three for some reason known only to God Hmm . But not too bad at all. Unfortunately had to spend the next two hours with her perched on top of me.
We have a morrck and I like it but what I really want is a wallaboo blanket. I think I've missed the window for the really cosy winter one but there's a lightweight one too. For anyone having a baby towards winter time - the ruby and ginger car seat covers are fab.

Pisghetti · 21/03/2015 08:24

Morning all!

Good luck today Boo! We'll all be waving our poms poms for you!

Unfortunately I don't think I'm going to be able to produce a JS twin as there's still nowt going on in my nethers Hmm my pelvis is having a last hoorah and left me unable to walk/move/breathe last night but seems to be just painful today rather than debilitating which is good. We're heading off to Cardiff to watch all the rugby then going out for a meal tonight for a friend's birthday. This prompted DS to shout 'what are you doing going to Cardiff! What if the baby comes!'. Well firstly, the baby is never sodding coming, secondly we're like a 45min drive from home and thirdly it isn't like there's no maternity provision in Cardiff if it really came to it!!

gaggiagirl · 21/03/2015 08:25

la ha ha a home birth would be disastrous! No placenta curling in my house.
Were going to see home at the cinema today, it looks canny.

Pisghetti · 21/03/2015 08:27

Oh Bat I used palmers coca butter stretch mark cream this time switching to cussons when that ran out (I've heard of brand loyalty but it's not my thing). I've not got any new stretch marks but then I have a lot from DS so maybe I just had more skin to grow into this time! Did you get them through puberty? That's usually an indicator. Wil I'm well jel Envy !

OP posts:
gaggiagirl · 21/03/2015 08:29

Take your notes pis just in case.
I'm mildly considering hanging round my parents when this baby is due, they are in a different county with a posh mlu and nice new little hospital in the same town I was born in.
Can I do that?

TheBooMonster · 21/03/2015 08:54

wil I can eat before induction, but once I get going I'll be moved to delivery, and experience from last time is delivery ward gets skipped when the food folk come round. Last time i had lunch on maternity and the nothing apart from a slice of toast until the following night when I got onto postnatal because I'd been in delivery over dinner breakfast and lunch!! I was ready to eat passing people let alone the child rations they pass off as adult meals! My hospital bag is packed with junk food though, so I'm hoping that will keep me going!

There has been no mention of a c-section, I think given my slow healing rate they'll probably try and avoid it at all costs but if they come at me with forceps I'm crossing my legs & demanding a section and have said as much in my birth plan

mountaingirl01 · 21/03/2015 08:56

Arghh, chrome just stopped and got rid of my long catch up message :(

boo the pompoms are out! Don't overdo it today, enjoy the sunshine and do entirely selfish things, dh can change the sheets for his own mother!
pis your poor body, when is that baby going to listen to us?!
tee I am actually grinding my teeth in annoyance at your mil, you must be a lot more patient than me to put up with her! Your Bengal however is gorgeous! I love the leopard types dh wouldn't let me get 2 and our tiger was rescued I love the quirkiness of Bengals, despite the fact that ours will only give cuddles when she wants them and if you try without her permission your hand gets beaten the crap out of. The poor small mammal population round here as well... But then she gets in the shower with you and it's hilarious.

la can you get out of walk? Or will it make you feel a bit better? You need time alone, it's really hard having them to stay because they are in your space and need entertaining the whole time, take time out and the irritation gets a bit easier not at all speaking from experience

LaLaLaaaa · 21/03/2015 09:08

I had read stretch mark cream makes not an ounce of difference but I've got burts bees belly butter my friend gave me and I'm still using it

I'm hiding in bed. Dh is awake from his night shift and I'm about to kick him out of bed to entertain his mum. She's downstairs bustling about. Cat is sprawled around my head on pillow. I love my cats. They are part rag doll apparently (got them off some dodgy lady in Falkirk - yes bad lady for not rescuing but they wouldn't give us one on main road). They are so soppy and funny

Pis if rugby and meal doesn't get that baby excited nothing will!

My mil is very nice but today I just wish she was less into walks and bird watching and more into manicures and lunches, so I can have a rest. Been a really long hard week at work and I am tired.

Have fun at cinema ga!

No idea what this blanket thing is will look it up. I've realised recently how much we still have to buy for baby. Aaaaah! Snuzpod arrived though, yay! I'm not allowed to get it out of the box but I've been opening box and stroking the bits of wood it's so shiny and new!

Purpleball · 21/03/2015 09:23

Wilko do a version of bio oil which is the same but loads cheaper

La sorry to hear you're not having a great time with MiL. She'll be gone soon and you could say you're too achy or knackered to walk

Boo...it's here, I'm excited for you. You'll be fab Smile

Pis...hope the rugby and dinner gets the baby moving Smile

Happy Saturday lovelies, we're going out for a thai lunch with friends

Cymraes17 · 21/03/2015 09:26

How have I missed the begining of a new fred? Let alone let it get to pg9 before I find it?!
Anyhoo, good luck today boo.
pis hope babypis will be here soon of her own accord, perhaps the excitement of rugby will help her on her way?!
Need to read the other 8 pages to catch up.

DulcetMoans · 21/03/2015 09:26

Yes, take all the snacks boo and grab a drive thru or something on the way in!

Did I miss a picture of a cat?! Better get on the web!

What you going to see gaggia?

Sometimes a walk makes me feel better la, especially with back ache. But if it's likely to be a long one it's probably not ideal. Can you put a time limit on it and end for a long sitdown lunch in a pub?

Eurgh, that rugby is on for sooooo long pis! It will annoy me being on here, wouldn't fancy being in Cardiff centre for it. But then you probably enjoy rugby more than me!

Great news wil, except the waking up anyway - sort that out!

RPopz · 21/03/2015 09:45

Eeek good luck today Boo! Enjoy your morning of gorging Grin Make sure its stuff you'll be happy to see again later Wink

H&B RLT is yummy. Just tastes like raspberry Smile I had tonnes left over so only recently stopped drinking it...

Hopefully you'll invoke the law of sod in Cardiff Pis!!

RPopz · 21/03/2015 09:46

Bat I like the Mum&Me bump cream. It smells lush. I didn't get any stretch marks til about 37 weeks, irritatingly Angry
