Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 23rd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 40th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

The stats sheet is here

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Ah tee that's what I thought you meant. A few of my mates have had it done and said it makes them more sensitive down there, and better sex!

I keep getting braxtons all the time! If I get up out of my chair, roll over in bed, go for a piss, try to run... I hope it's not something to worry about. I still haven't felt any movement yet, 16+4. When did you all get movement?

indigo I am 20 weeks and have felt a few flutters but nothing I would call a "kick". The few flutters have only started in the past few days, bizarrely much more last night after my scan - I think it was all the prodding!
I discovered yesterday that I have an anterior placenta which means I probably won't feel much in the way of movement.

Have you had your 16 week midwife appointment? They may listen to the heartbeat if you are lucky, I found it really reassuring.

Is it round ligament pain indigo? I don't think I got Tonis til much later than 16wks.

Any recommendations on an optimal age gap then cym?? Grin

popz a few of the other viroids, think it was chat and tee, had said it sounded like braxtons hicks? It's basically my bump going hard and lasts a few minutes. It's not painful, it's just like a tightening. It's hard to the touch from the outside as well. Just seems to happen all the time! Usually on the loo, getting up out a chair etc, any kind of abdominal exertion (like sitting up in bath).

fleur I had my 16 week appointment last week but they don't listen to heartbeat until the next one Hmm They used to but stopped because if they couldn't hear anything they weren't able to refer you on. Whereas they apparently can at 24 weeks. I've got a private sexing scan on Sunday which I can't wait for! Will be 17+2 by then. Can't wait to see it again, feels like ages.

I've got an anterior as well fleur and it took a while for me to really feel anything aside from the bubbling or popping, but as he's got bigger I can def feel more, and Mr tee can feel them too. Being jabbed in the cervix from the wrong side feels bizarre....

I won, I won, I won! And I didn't need to resort to filthy tactics (except maybe exchanging a biscuit for a vote). Still, good day and excellent in a year that I will go on maternity leave.

All you and your exciting piercings! Will nipple piercings affect breast feeding? Am I being naive?

Any cloth is better than no cloth boo, it's not easy though I am sure. I think I might only do it at home but want to try. I've entered the comp so hopefully one of us can win!

Was in London today for conference. Do not envy you commuters - I'm knackered!

Chat, 33, incubating DC#2, 24 today and the size of a baseball mitt Grin

Indigo I've been getting frequent Tonis all through this one, don't remember them starting so early last time around! Annoying. Though last labour was a quickie, so maybe they're useful for something, who knows?

My movements with my first started at 17+w, weird almost vibrating sensation (like a text arriving in my womble :) ). This time I felt the first hint of a flutter just before my 12w scan. Proper kicks at about 16-17w. They do come earlier second time around though.

Cym that sounds lush....might do some baking tomorrow...need some peace and quiet prescribing though!

Your DH sounds lovely Fleur, what a nice surprise!

Off to call my mother - to explain gently to her that she has completely misread my email and now intends to come over for the entire time the other expectant grandparents are here! Numpty.

Don't forget to get you fruit soaking tonight Chat (will put mine in before bedtime)

Congrats Dulcet!

Movements were pretty on and off for ages with this one from about 17 weeks. A pattern seemed to emerge at about 22 weeks - enough to send me to the MLU in tears at 24 weeks when I hadn't felt anything for a while. However all was well. I do think this baby is lazier than DS who used to cartwheel all the time.

After spending most of the day feeling like the baby might actually fall out, I now can't breathe again. I will not be impressed if she's shuffled out of my pelvis Hmm

Congratulations dulcet! Excellent news and no poison needed!

I think that the baby might have moved Grin something happened and it hurt a lot. I hope that's him moved to where he should be!

back to lurking/stalking/gatecrashing after my very short lived pg

but got a stealth shag in at lunch a la la so we're back in the game!

cringing at the piercings! although FYI my mum had a belly piercing with db4 & db5 and didn't take it out at all. she still has it in now and db5 is 12. think she'd only had it 1-2yrs when she got pg. but they do say you heal quicker when you're older and she was 40.

fleur I must have missed what ur dh did, but glad he's in the good books.

be proud of me viroids, cd13 and no opks. I'm taking the chilled out approach this month. bring on los!

oh smd my necklace has finally been dispatched!

Good grief you're all chatty Smile

My most exotic piercing was my nose and I didn't have it long.

I've done an Amazon wishlist full of things from mothercare and mamas and papas as well as Amazon. I haven't published it, it's only for me to make a list for now. DH is invited of course Smile

Anyone got any video monitor recommendations? I want a wifi one that I can access from my iPad or iPhone when I'm away with work

Had my first unsolicited advice tonight from a good friend who told me to put baby to bed awake....I'd already decided to do that if it's possible of course

Hi lil sending you big fat pregnant wishes!

Crashed at 9pm this evening, DD started coughing at 11 which woke me up, so I made the mistake of bringing her juice and strong arming DH into bringing her cough syrup... Queue 40 minutes of fighting with her to get her to go back to sleep because she decided it was obviously CBeebies O'Clock! But she's finally down, as is DH and I'm now wide awake :(

Report
willywallace · 04/03/2015 00:23

Aw no Boo, sometimes it's the worst decision to go in and see them Hope that's that her for the night now.

I've never managed to follow that advice with either baby Purple without it resulting in mad screaming. Doesn't seem to matter in the long run though. My unsolicited and annoying advice would be to not believe any of those 'sleep rules' as they're just made up by people trying to make money by having an answer. Do what results in the least screaming and the baby will figure it out in their own time. Now you can add me to the list of eejits who don't know when to shut up Wink .

Oh dear, sorry for crappy sleepers. All my household fast asleep but I've been up since 5.30, wide awake after getting up for a wee. Annoying!
Saw consultant at last yesterday who is dead against me having caesarean. Wah! Don't know whether to insist or not as no one can say for sure if natural birth will or won't do more damage to pelvic floor. Someone seriously needs to invent a new way of getting babies out of us... Or failing that maybe a man-womb?!! Heh heh

Report
Purpleball · 04/03/2015 07:10

She also said to me that I shouldn't read baby books and get stressed if my baby isn't like the books because the baby hasn't read the book Smile
