Morning!

(short and sweet as fed up with that bloomin' error message)

Kittykitty05 · 19/02/2015 08:46

Well done treacle I hadn't seen we were so close to the 1000 again!

Whatabout · 19/02/2015 08:50

Morning! Thanks fir the new thread!

Pretty sure I've felt movement this morning. 10+5 today so super early but baby number 2 and I have no stomach muscles.

Chuch21 · 19/02/2015 09:01

Good morning, thanks treacle Grin
Off work today with a very bad bottom... Thought if start the new thread off as we mean to go on! Haha.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I feel like I'm suffering with constipation and bouts of the opposite if that makes sense? It's making me feel sick Sad

Apologies for the early morning moan... I hope everyone else is feeling ok

Treaclepie19 · 19/02/2015 09:06

I'm glad it's not just me getting the error message!

Church I'm the same. Bad wind pain and constipation, the Dr gave me lactulose to try.

Marking spot!

Whatabout · 19/02/2015 09:25

The wind pain is hideous, I'm hoping it'll pass. My midwife told me to take Imodium for runny tummy last time.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 19/02/2015 09:34

10 weeks today! God knows what thread we'll be on by the time we get to my scan on the 10th March!
Nausea has returned with a vengeance this morning. Haven't felt this rough in a while. Hmm

Maths88 · 19/02/2015 09:39

So blood pressure still high and I've been referred to the hospital!

Also midwife offered to try and listen to heartbeat - surprised me at 10+5 - she couldn't find it and now I'm in a complete panic over everything! So overall not the best visit to the midwife!!

My 12 week scan is in two weeks and right now I have absolutely no idea how I'm going to last that long!? Really wish I'd said no but of course you want to hear the heartbeat if you can! Why is pregnancy such a roller coaster?

We are a talkative lot!

DoctorDonnaNoble · 19/02/2015 09:58

Does anyone have any advice about when I should look into signing up for NCT/NHS antenatal classes - are NCT ones worth it. Starting to get a little overwhelmed at just how much we need to buy/do!

DeladionInch · 19/02/2015 09:59

Apricots and dates. Try nakd bars if you need something on the go. And lots of fluids, no caffeine or fizz!

Anyone else getting hot and cold flushes in the night? That and the dreams are playing havoc with my sleep

DoctorDonnaNoble · 19/02/2015 09:59

Nakd bars are great! I particularly like the cocoa orange and the cocoa crunch ones.

BizzieBoo · 19/02/2015 10:02

Wow I've got so much to catch up on......stupid work and life getting in the way of my mumsnetting! Grin

11+4 today (well according to the midwife on Tuesday)! Scan next Thursday seems to be taking forever to come around.

Oh no Maths - I'm glad mine didn't offer that, it's hard for them to hear the heartbeat that early so seems a silly thing to do as of course you are going to panic until your scan (as if we weren't nervous wrecks already)!

DeladionInch · 19/02/2015 10:03

you'll be offered NHS ones at the 24 week appointment, usually to be attended at 30 something weeks. nct meets are very welcoming, have a look for bumps and babies ones. find them on Facebook too

DefinitelyNotElsa · 19/02/2015 10:06

Shamelessly place marking.

Went for my booking blood test this morning and had to wait 90 minutes to be seen. I shouldn't complain as some people had been there even longer, but still... It sucked.

SomewhereovertheRainbow02 · 19/02/2015 10:08

Does anyone know how I go about getting a maternity exemption form for prescriptions?

Whatabout · 19/02/2015 10:09

I did NCT last time but didn't bond with anyone massively. I'm going to do nhs ones this time to meet people.

Kittykitty05 · 19/02/2015 10:11

NCT classes are fab, loved ours first time and still in contact with peeps 12 years on! Last time we didn't sign up to nct, and mean midwives refused to let me do their classes as I was second time mum, always felt I missed out with making friends through that.
Sadly NCT have closed down in my area now so will stand my ground with midwives classes, but after a 7 year hiatus they surely can't refuse me(?!).

A thought for the morning- hair dye, do you or don't you in preg? Normally do mine every 8 weeks but haven't now for about 14, it's not looking good! Thinking now I'm after 12 weeks it should be okay!

Bippidee · 19/02/2015 10:11

Ha! 5!

Nct was great for meeting people, I didn't do the nhs ones as they were the same dates as the NCT ones, but I have heard good things about them.

My scan is tomorrow, and I hope it's all on time. Hohohoho given previous experience.

ditzzy · 19/02/2015 10:14

11+4 and still waiting for my scan date... (and my prescription exemption certificate, and I sent off for that weeks ago!)

On the plus side, my sister is here (lives overseas, so I only see her about once a year), and we're going together to visit our other sister at the weekend, so the cat is thoroughly out of the bag in my family Grin

Mummyboo30 · 19/02/2015 10:16

somewhere it should have been given to you at booking in, if not then ask your midwife or gp.

NCT classes are good if it's your first, people often end up with good baby-friends through there. I would probably go again if we had anyone to babysit DD while we were there.

Maths at my 2 appointments so far, my bp has been borderline high. The midwife just said they'd keep an eye on it, but I've been trying yonmake as many changes myself as I can to bring it down. Now on no added salt (I love my salt, so this is hard!) and trying to de-stress as much as possible. Having trouble with that one though.

12 weeks today, 1 more until next trimester! :)

BizzieBoo · 19/02/2015 10:19

Kittykitty05 I dyed my hair throughout my last pregnancy and intend to with this one It's easier if you're doing it at home to make sure you are in a well ventilated room and make sure you wear you're gloves Smile

monkeymoonpig · 19/02/2015 10:19

Nhs ones were great here, really lovely midwife and great ppl on it, lots of laughs. Im still FB friends with a couple of mum's i met there. There were 2nd time mum's too, and ill try to get to them again this time round

Treaclepie19 · 19/02/2015 10:21

Somewhere I had to ask for mine at my doctors.

Had my first actual puking yesterday, woken up today with a terrible sore throat, pounding headache and awful nausea!! Gone into work as I felt bad for being off last weds and had Monday off for scan! Just trying to make it through the day at work - wish they knew I was pregnant so I could get some sympathy!
