Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 22nd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 39th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Morning viroids!

Hooyahs to those that need them!

I didn't get pancakes Sad I'm the only one that likes them so didn't bother just for me! We did have a takeaway instead though Blush

I had a really vivid dream last night and it's all I can think about! Trying my best to make sure that a random dream doesn't dictate my next big project but it's very hard Grin last maternity leave I finished a degree, did an nvq level three, moved to a new house and started my business. I did say I was going to relax this mat leave but I can feel myself getting the twitch Confused

TheBooMonster · 18/02/2015 08:47

deeply shop eggs are fine, I was still using eggs in cakes from my back garden chickens till they stopped laying for winter in November and baby still has 1 head :)

DulcetMoans · 18/02/2015 08:55

Piece of piss wil, you can do that in half an hour. Sort your hair out and take the kids out in their PJs. They won't remember!

I want to know what your random dreams are for this maternity leave now lauren! Sounds like it makes you very productive.

I have pancakes tonight as well - too much mixture.

Fattycow · 18/02/2015 09:20

As my tummy grows, DH seems to get less interested in shagging...

laurenamium · 18/02/2015 09:31

Ah dulcet DPs big dream is to run his own gym. He's currently only getting work here and there so now would be a good time for him to go back to college and do night classes or a part time course to get the qualifications he needs to do PT and teach kickboxing in the local schools as after school clubs. My dream was that he was doing this, and I was running the crèche that was attached to the gym and teaching the aerobics type classes. It just seemed to make sense! I'm waiting for DP to wake up so I can bombard him with my ideas and suggest he goes back to college from September Grin he can be on getting a client base and a good local reputation while we save for the gym start up funds... I bet he does this face Hmm though

Fleurchamp · 18/02/2015 10:17

We are having pancakes tonight. I have given up enough already (coffee, wine etc.) to be giving up anything else!

On a completely separate note - what are your thoughts on taking a two month old baby abroad (short haul)? DH is going to take two weeks' leave in September and wants us to go to Cornwall. Which is fine but, I want to go somewhere warm! I have not seen the sun since 2013 (last year was DH's turn to choose holidays and most of those involved rain Sad).

This year was my turn to choose holidays. I saved £5k for us to go to Mauritius but this turned into a new bathroom Sad

DH is arguing that it's not sensible to take a small baby away. I am thinking Spain or Portugal. He wants to book a cottage in Cornwall now, I want to wait until the baby is here so we can see if it's feasible to go abroad.

Although saying that, I threw most of my summer clothes away as they haven't been worn since 2013 (and were not new then) and I am unlikely to wear them again for over a year - I may have been a little stroppy Hmm

willywallace · 18/02/2015 10:26

I don't think taking them abroad would be much different to taking them to Cornwall tbh. Might be a bit of a faff if you're bottle feeding would be the only thing. I would try to get somewhere family friendly where people either won't hear or won't complain about a crying baby at night.

Lauren that sounds like a great idea. All gyms should have creches. Although probably quite expensive to buy and set up. During my last mat leave I achieved precisely fuck all apart from keeping a baby alive. Oh and getting a new job but that pretty much involved a phone call.

Dulcet I opted for getting kids dressed and ignoring the hair. Haven't even looked in a mirror, probably would frighten small children.

Fleurchamp · 18/02/2015 11:15

Thanks. I am hoping to BF but we shall see.

I would try to get a villa rather than hotel or apartment.

I just think it will be easier with a little baby than one which is crawling - the next holiday we would have wouldn't be until at least easter next year.

Hmm, lots to think about. I will be so miserable if we end up in a cottage in Cornwall with rain pounding at the windows (which has basically be every UK holiday I remember as a child). DH's family never went abroad. He never flew until he was 21 whereas my family travelled with us from a young age- I guess it's just what you're used to?

Purplecircle · 18/02/2015 11:23

We're doing our 3rd Cornwall holiday this year in May
Last 2 times we've gone to St Ives in September and it's not rained once.

Been to EPU and had a scan. All ok in there, one baby and we've seen the heartbeat. Panic over Smile

Fleurchamp · 18/02/2015 11:46

I think I am jinxed purple

I have just been called "huge" by a bitch woman at work. I wanted to stab her with my pen.

She asked if there is more than one in there. Honestly? What.the.actual.fuck. Makes me so angry.

laurenamium · 18/02/2015 11:51

fleur I would go for the abroad holiday! I bottle fed DD and it wasn't that much fuss really so even if you had to do that if you didn't BF I think you would be okay! The flight isn't that long really and no different to a long car journey, if anything you have more opportunity to get up and walk around on a plane than you do in a car!

Fleurchamp · 18/02/2015 11:55

Sorry skim read purple great news! xx

Purplecircle · 18/02/2015 12:00

I think I'd have been quite rude back to her. Classic mumsnet 'Did you mean to be so rude?' comment required I think

willywallace · 18/02/2015 12:36

Cheeky bitch!

Great news Purple Smile

Ah a villa would be fine. Was just envisioning a hotel room and having to sterilise stuff etc. Definitely much easier when they're tiny. You don't even have to take toys. Only thing to factor in is that you may be two weeks late and I don't know if it's better to get jabs etc before they go abroad for first time which i don't think is until 8 weeks. But the medical folk can tell you if that's an issue or not.

batfish · 18/02/2015 12:37

yay purple that's great news, what a relief!

LaLaLaaaa · 18/02/2015 12:47

Yaaaay purple!! Wonderful Grin

Fleur go for it! My friend just took her 2 month old twins to Dubai and all good they just slept

gaggiagirl · 18/02/2015 12:50

laurenamium · 18/02/2015 13:40

Excellent news purple Grin

Stoatystoat · 18/02/2015 13:52

Just wanted to let you know my scan didn't go well. MMC I'm afraid. Unlikely to be on here for the foreseeable and back with the undergrads. Good luck with your pregnancies xxx

willywallace · 18/02/2015 14:03

Oh Stoat I'm so sorry. I really hope you're ok and have someone to help you through this. Thanks

teejayem · 18/02/2015 14:05

hurrah purple what a relief!

Amazingly good appointment with GP! (Although he ping ponged me back for the physio referral as it'll be faster from midwife) but I barely started explaining my woes and he launched into a huge spiel about how I shouldn't be working (!) and how much of a strain being pregnant is normally, and 2 hour commutes etc will render me crippled by 30 weeks. He signed me off for two weeks without me even asking or mentioning it, and told me to come back for another certificate in 10 days if I didn't want to go back! He also gave me some big painkillers. He thinks PGP and said it will only get worse, so better to look after myself now.
I'm genuinely shocked, but v. happy and am holed up on sofa with my mars milk drink. Work were actually alright with it too, and have said I can work flexibly when I go back, so I retract all my moaning from yesterday (She says, in a warm fuzzy Codeine haze).

gaggiagirl · 18/02/2015 14:21

stoat you poor love. I'm so sorry. If you need to talk we are here and the mc boards are very good indeed.

teejayem · 18/02/2015 14:24

oh yikes with the X post - So sorry to hear stoat - please look after yourself xxx

laurenamium · 18/02/2015 14:27

Oh stoat I'm so sorry to hear that Sad

DulcetMoans · 18/02/2015 14:33

So sorry stoat. It's terrible getting that news. As you know, many of us went through it before here so we do understand. Take the time you need and, as gaggia says, I found the MC boards useful - even if it was just reading.

What a surprise outcome tee! Do you think you will go back to work after the two weeks? If you can do bits from home that might suit everyone.

Great news on the scan purple. Just one of those things I guess, bleeding sometimes happens!

Ok, my back is proper killing me! I can't sit still at work and its not helping the productivity. My job is mainly sitting here!
