Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 21st grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 38th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

stoat I'm so sorry to hear you're in limbo, gx that his is some sort of blip and there will be a happy healthy baby in there at the next scan Flowers Cake

Fab news fatty

My crappy tightenings are back. All I did was make dinner and now I'm in so much pain I feel too sick to eat it which is fantastic it smells like feet anyway, I think the parmesan is a bit too old, are we even meant to eat parmesan?. How am I supposed to do nothing for the next 6-11 weeks?! Hmm

lil I tried to use the tax credits calculator earlier and it was being a cowbag. It would only give my entitlement for 2 months because we're so close to the new tax year, and what it estimated for 2 months was very different with our current figures to what we're getting over 2 months Hmm

Hurrah! Work sent me my MatB1 and SMP1 forms today! ...along with a letter saying they'd 'try' and put me back on the department I left from, and as such I should keep in regular contact with the department, but they couldn't guarantee it. It's nice to know given that I specifically said I'd only move to bloody tills if they promised they'd do anything to put me anywhere but tills when I came back exasperated sigh

Indigoblue2 · 11/02/2015 19:13

town and fatty great news and congrats to both of you ThanksThanks relief all round I'm sure!

mountain looking forward to hearing your good news tomorrow GX

Indigoblue2 · 11/02/2015 19:22

So wil chat popz the consensus is that the pushing out/ring of fire is the worst pain? A friend's daughter described her recent birth as the most horrific pain she's ever felt, worse than breaking both her legs. So wil that maybe answers your question about how it compares to other pains! Although I know someone else whose horse fell on her last year and basically splintered her heel, ankle and foot into bits, to the point that when she looked down she could see the UNDERSIDE of her toes facing her BlushBlush she's a little lady and said pushing out her kids was an absolute piece of cake pain wise compared to that. I've never broken a bone or been acutely ill (appendicitis etc) so I'm a bit naive as to my pain threshold. Fucking hurts when I stub my toe though..

batfish · 11/02/2015 19:26

Oh stoat I'm so sorry, what a shitty horrible unfair time for you. I'm keeping everything crossed that it's all going to be OK, I can't imagine how all of this waiting around must be for you, look after yourself and if you feel like you want to just lie in bed for now then that is exactly what you should do.

I had an early scan today and am 5+5 so a whole day ahead of what I thought I was - due 9th October. There was a heartbeat which I was really not expecting at all. I won't go on about it as seems insensitive when others are still hoping for good news.

Indigoblue2 · 11/02/2015 19:30

Brilliant news for you bat - wonderful to see I bet Thanks

Fleurchamp · 11/02/2015 19:46

GX stoat waiting is just the worst Sad

Congrats to all those with good scans.

Just back from pregnancy yoga which was made a lot harder by trying to keep a huge fart in Blush

I don't think I could have gone back if I had let rip

gaggiagirl · 11/02/2015 19:48

indigo I can honestly say that giving birth wasn't that bad. The actual pushing bit I thought was fine, no ring of fire because I tore front to back!
The contractions really fucking hurt but they are intermittent so you get a bit break in between. I had a shot of pethedine just before the pushing started though.

Stoatystoat · 11/02/2015 19:54

bat that's wonderful. Please share with everyone, I'm going to take a little break from this particular thread, probably hang out with the original shaggers if they'll have me. Bit more limbo going off in that place but I'll come back when I feel a bit braver Smile

Purplecircle · 11/02/2015 20:01

That's fab news Bat,

Stoaty do what you need to, we'll be here when you're ready for us. I'm still keeping everything crossed for you Smile

Stoatystoat · 11/02/2015 20:10

Thank you, I appreciate it. Please don't curtail the chatter, life goes on so I'm told xx

TheBooMonster · 11/02/2015 20:11

indigo My pain threshold is through the floor, Tramadol and oral morphine are my favourite things and giving blood makes me cry. The worst part for me was the moments before the transition stage. I'd had 12 hours of contractions that went from mild period pains to someone ripping out my sacrum, and it was that end bit that was awful, the midwife examined me and said I was barely 1cm, then she went off to get the student midwife to run me a bath and I actually within a few minutes was sat happily chatting to a new midwife about my labour so far, when the student midwife came to take me through for the bath my waters broke and they all saw baby head, quickly establishing I was 10cm! So seemingly the transition (and thus the whole actual dilating phase?) was a piece of piss. Pushing out baby's head was pretty ring of fire, but then the contractions involved with the placenta and my lovely PPH were worse from what I recall....

excellent news bat!!

extra hugs for stout hopefully we'll see you soon miss!

RPopz · 11/02/2015 20:17

Hope to see you back soon stoat Thanks
Try not to worry about the pain indigo Being tense and fearful will make the pain seem worse. Whatever happens you'll just get through it and it'll soon be forgotten. Plus there's always epidurals!!

ChatEnOeuf · 11/02/2015 20:17

Flowers Stoat it's just so horrible - I really feel for you. There must be an element of preparation for the worst from the sonographers if they don't see what they hope to. Keep talking to us and try and stay sane between now and next week.

Congrats Town and Fatty, v pleased all is well in your wombles :)

Boo I'm sure I hope parmesan is fine. Does smell though Grin

ChatEnOeuf · 11/02/2015 20:23

Ooh great news for you too Bat!

Yep, ring of fire worst. Pushing fine, as were contractions as they felt productive! Worst pain ever...nope. That'd be when the muppets looking after me as a teen post spinal surgery turned my morphine infusion off instead of tweaking it down a tiny bit. Acute withdrawal plus pain - worse than childbirth!

DulcetMoans · 11/02/2015 20:24

do what you need to stoat, we understand.

Great news for you as well fatty. Did you get any good pictures? And you bat. (although I am now scared I will have an entirely 2D baby after the skull comment - I hadn't even thought of that!).

I went to Active Bumps tonight where I was not so lucky fleur and did pump on a stretch. I am reassuring myself that the music was too loud for them to hear it.

If it helps indigo, my friend said her labour wasn't much worse than period pains until she had to push and even that wasn't as bad as she thought until it went wrong and he came out the sun roof! we will be ok - you get through it cos you have too!

Fattycow · 11/02/2015 20:59

I got a lovely long dvd, 25 minutes of looking at my little one!

townsender · 11/02/2015 21:09

Oh stoat I'm so sorry, crossing all my fingers and toes for you that it will be ok but I guess it doesn't look good. How horrible to be in limbo.
If you are still reading, on a practical note, my hospital (which is in London) the EPU is drop-in only (no appointments) and open Monday to Saturday every morning. So if you are worried about work and are ok with giving it a few days instead of a week, you could always go there on Saturday. They open at 8 for 8:30. They would definitely scan you, they don't turn people away. PM me if you can't find it and I'll send you its name (don't want to out myself too much location-wise - probably already have done!)

LaLaLaaaa · 11/02/2015 21:46

I'm crossing everything for a pisitive result for you stoat. We are here either way whenever you feel like you need to chat.

Bat that is good news Smile

Just been to fit mummy which was fun. We have to use weights a lot to build arm muscles - it was hard in the first week but much easier today. Also had issues trying not to pump!

LaLaLaaaa · 11/02/2015 21:46

Oh bloody hell - positive not pisitive

Fattycow · 11/02/2015 21:50

Fit mummy sounds great!

splodge77 · 11/02/2015 21:54

Sorry you're going thru this stoat, take care of yourself. Re labour pains - the exhaustion left more of an impression on me than the pain to be honest. It sounds dumb but I wasn't prepared for how physically demanding labour would be. Im generally quite a wuss with pain but psychologically I found it manageable because it is productive (& therefore not scary - ie you know why it's there & what it's for- you are not wondering what the hell is wrong with me!) that said , I did freak out at the head crowning as was such a weird sensation & midwife had to have a few stern words!

Purplecircle · 11/02/2015 21:58

That's fab fatty

La I read 2 baby mags tonight, one was on about breastfeeding positions and I did think about my poor arm/back muscles
Maybe I need to investigate pregnancy classes

I don't know if it's bloat but today I look pregnant....surely it's too early at 8 weeks?

lildottie · 11/02/2015 21:59

first "am I normal question" if you don't mind viroids...
I feel like my muscles from under my boobs to my nether regions are all being stretched out. its like I've done sit-ups all day! feel it most when I'm up and about not sat down. is that what you guys experienced?

RPopz · 11/02/2015 22:00

Haha, I always spent Lazy Daisy holding in farts Grin

YY to tiredness fatty ... I just wanted to sleep halfway through. Was up for two days straight though Shock I had a mega shit fit during the ventouse and got told off by the consultant... Blush

Aw fatty! DVD sounds ace Grin

deeplybaffled · 11/02/2015 22:06
