Def deserve a cuppa and a sit down Scottish Grin Am still sitting in my comfy chair Wink

Turquoisetamborine · 21/02/2015 14:26

Did you find anything Scottish? I bought quite a lot of maternity clothes at about 15 weeks and just wear a lot of normal tops with long vests too. I'm trying not to buy anything else as I know this will be my last pregnancy.
I'm saving loads as normally I love clothes shopping.
Tesco have sent me a mattress for a single bed instead of a cot mattress so I still can't get the room sorted til the huge mattress is picked up. How stupid can you get?? They offered me a discount if I wanted to keep it! Why would I want it??

leanne963 · 21/02/2015 15:50

Oh jeez. Just absolutely sobbed watching Beaches. Why did I do that to myself?!?!

applecore0317 · 21/02/2015 16:27

Maybe ask the do discount the actual cot mattress when it arrives for the inconvenience turquoise

Knackered today, made my Uncle a Dr Who cake for his birthday and being in the kitchen for so long wiped me out, plus not much sleep last night. Time for a nap methinks :)
oh no leanne a film I could never watch again for that reason

bradders85 · 21/02/2015 16:46

Hi everyone hope your enjoying the weekend. I have been shopping with DP and chosen a nice diamond necklace for my birthday on Monday :) and we are out for a nice meal tonight so looking forward to that. Also just had lots of newborn cuddles with nephew Tommy - such a cutie and just makes me more excited to meet our bump!

Leanne I love beaches but I only watch it when I need a good cry!! Love Bette Midler - I'm seeing her in concert in July!

apple Dr Who cake sounds fab, hope it's lovely! :)

leanne963 · 21/02/2015 16:51

Oh apple i knew exactly what was going to happen as stupidly I continued to watch ha!

Ahhh bradders That is amazing! She is fab! Love her in Hocus Pocus too!!

bradders85 · 21/02/2015 16:57

me too....and I love her in The First Wives Club too. I've loved her for years and when I heard she was coming over here to do a few shows I just had to go....once in a life time and she is getting on a bit now! The Divine!! :)

leanne963 · 21/02/2015 17:09

Well have fun!!! I just had to have a listen to 'The Rose' great song!

How are the bumps doing today?? She is moving lots today after having a quiet day yesterday!!

longestlurkerever · 21/02/2015 17:32

That's ridiculous turquoise but afraid I did laugh at the outrageousness!

Have a good birthday bradders.

Just in from soft play which is a revelation now dd is big enough to go on by herself. Am thinking we may be bavk there quite a bit come May! They even had waiter service coffee.

KittyVonCatsington · 21/02/2015 17:35

Sorry ladies if this post comes across as a bit smug but am so proud of DH putting together all of the nursery furniture today that I've posted a picture! Feeling very broody right now Grin

longestlurkerever · 21/02/2015 17:45

Gorgeous kitty! It looks a beautiful room. I am sending dh up to the loft tomorrow to fetch our baby things down so I can do a proper sort. Feeling quite tearful at the prospect. After three losses there was a time I thought I might never get to the point of needing it again.

KittyVonCatsington · 21/02/2015 17:51

Definitely a milestone isn't it longest made all the more poignant after losses two for me Enjoy going through the baby things Grin

Scottishgal78 · 21/02/2015 17:52

Oh Kitty that makes it seem so real! Didn't get much today. Frustrating how most shops don't have their maternity ranges in store. ended up ordering online!

cuphat · 21/02/2015 18:00

Fab kitty!

Lack of maternity clothes instore is annoying, Scottish. I don't normally buy clothes online due to my awkward pear shape but I haven't had much choice.

leanne963 · 21/02/2015 18:00

Aww looks gorgeous kitty bet you are feeling impatient now and just want LO to be here now!! :)

bradders85 · 21/02/2015 18:12

looks lovely kitty :)

applecore0317 · 21/02/2015 18:15

nursery looks lovely kitty

we won't be able to do ours till July, looking forward to it though :)

cake worked out well thanks bradders was a bit rushed, normally spend a lot more time on them, but kept it fairly simple this time.

Had my nap, woke up very grumpy... I don't do naps

KittyVonCatsington · 21/02/2015 18:33

I too am peed off most of the stores near me don't stock maternity ranges - I like to try things on!! Grin

KittyVonCatsington · 21/02/2015 18:35

Oooh, we're going to need a new thread-shall I start thread 7 or too early?! Smile

applecore0317 · 21/02/2015 18:37

annoying isn't it, my local debenhams has a tiny maternity section and then H&M has a few racks and thats it apart from Mothercare as Mamas and Papas has closed down...

can't be bothered with going to Milton Keynes instead which is the biggest shopping centre near to us

SmileyScooby · 21/02/2015 18:46

Scottish I found that when I went looking in January, even shop assistants said that they think they should stock it in store as you need to try on etc as shape has changed. That's why I've bought most my stuff online from Asda as can return to store :) debenhams had some stuff I found but not in my size :(

Leanne Beaches is on my watch list for maternity leave. Love that film even though it makes me cry

Kitty love the nursery, I'm going to be doing something similar and just getting normal drawers etc and have a changing mat on top :) but we've still got to sort and clear the room out and do a few things first. We've got an old wardrobe with a couple of drawers in it in spare room which we will use if not sorted by arrival date!

Have had a fairly productive day today (school work wise) tomorrow will be housey stuff! Bump has let me know he's there a few times today with a jab! I'm finding he's doing almost rolling like actions where feels like he's pressing against the bump and rolling around - hard to describe feeling but can see bump sort of move slowly in one direction. Last night he was having a disco in there and I had belly out and DH said it was like something from Alien before it bursts out of John Hurt!!

Scottishgal78 · 21/02/2015 18:49

I know exactly what you mean smiley. Few times it has felt like he's turning and I've almost screamed out loud!

Turquoisetamborine · 21/02/2015 19:00

Longest I know what you mean about thinking that the things in the loft would never get used. I held on to DS's little clothes for 6 yrs and insisted in keeping the spare room as a guest room instead of a playroom as I always wanted it to be a nursery.
My H used to call it the room that's waiting for a baby. I sat in there and sobbed when my IVF failed and now I have to pinch myself going in there to look at the cot and other baby stuff even if it has a huge single mattress in it thanks to tesco lol!
Kitty love the nursery, lovely furniture.
I've been sent a £5 off voucher from mothercare so I'm going there on Monday to get fitted for nursing bras. Hope they've improved since last time as my boobs looked a floppy mess in them. I took great pleasure in burning them at the end of bf. Doesn't help that we were skint so I had to buy them from eBay! We are much better off now and I'll take great pleasure having brand new bras Grin

longestlurkerever · 21/02/2015 19:56

As hugs turquoise and kitty, it's both lovely and poignant to get to the stage of nursery decorating after a difficult road. Enjoy it.

Chookford · 21/02/2015 20:52
