www.mothercare.com/Graco-Mirage-Pushchair-Travel-System/688779,default,pd.html#q=graco

we got this one, came with car seat, isofix type base for the car, foot muff, rain cover and changing bag. Think its end of the line so they shoved everything in with it. Bargain :)

glad they are going to look into whats making you ill mum fingers crossed for the ecg

Chookford · 17/02/2015 20:16

mum glad to hear you are home, hope this ecg sheds some light on what's wrong and offers you a solution to make sure it doesn't keep happening..

leanne963 · 17/02/2015 21:34

That travel system is a bargain apple amazing!!

So glad you are being referred and i hope they can figure out what is wrong mum Wish you all the best!

Scottishgal78 · 17/02/2015 21:41

mum hope that's helped put you at ease a little.

apple that pushchair is super cute. I bought mine at the weekend. The mamas and papas Armadillo flip. Got the carrycot and car seat too as a package. It's quite new so not many reviews yet so hope it doesn't turn out to be a bad buy!

Food related note - anyone tried Five Guys? Went tonight for the first time. Sooo good!

Justyouwaitandsee · 17/02/2015 21:51

Hi everyone, wow lots of chat again today!

Hope you're taking it easy mummy

  • must have been scary!

I've had a bit of an annoying day. First a man squashed himself into the middle seat next to me on the train squeezing me off the edge of the seat. Then he pulled out his laptop and actually rested his elbow on my bump! I was so shocked and had to say something, plus baby gave him a hard kick! Wink

Then I has to go to the docs for my whooping cough vaccine. Walked home in the dark, with a heavy bag of shopping, desperate for the loo and a passing driver nearly gave me a heart attack by yelling 'sexy' out of the window as he drove by.

Finally got home, determined to make pancakes, but am shattered, DH Is still out working late and my arm is now throbbing from the jab, so have snuck off to bed instead and postponed pancake day till tomorrow!

Snooky17 · 17/02/2015 22:00

But *Just you may be tired, achy and pancake less but your sexy ??
I've got the Babystyle oyster, bought mine 2nd hand off eBay but is in great condition..
*Mum hope they get you sorted soon

LuxuryTrifle · 17/02/2015 22:05

Chook I have an icandy strawberry - UTTERLY fantastic if you use busses a lot (I don't drive), incredibly light, never punctures, just wonderful. Used it for 2.5 years now - haven't needed to downsize to a lighter weight buggy like so many of my friends have. And I love the rear facing dimension.

But now in the market for a double . Mountain buggy c2 duet likely to win- can do rear facing up til 15 kg and is very narrow, one f he best for public transport.

Though I expect most people drive so not an issue :)

Justyouwaitandsee · 17/02/2015 22:08

Haha - thanks snooky - in all honesty, I -think- that's what he said. The shout was actually quite aggressive so made me jump even if it was a compliment. He could have said something else entirely I suppose, but I'm not exactly sure what. Either that or it was sarcasm Wink

leanne963 · 17/02/2015 22:13

Scottish OMG FIVE GUYS IS AMAZING. Sorry i get a little excited when people mention Five Guys. I had them in America and the best burgers i have ever had and the fact you can have as many additions like pickles, onions, bacon, mushrooms etc makes it so much better! :D :D :D FOOOOODDDDD

Eurgh just That guys sounds so annoying grrrrrrrrr sorry you had to deal with that idiot!

cuphat · 17/02/2015 22:20

Luxury, we currently have and love the strawberry too. I also don't drive. DD will be almost 24 months when baby arrives so we've invested in the peach blossom 3. You can do rear facing with both seats. If we had a bigger age gap I'd have happily used the strawberry again.

Sunshinesaz86 · 17/02/2015 22:26

I would take it as sexy too just a pregnant girls gotta take a compliment when it's given/shouted at u!

I had a wax tonight I feel much smoother and just generally less urgh! My friends on stand by to do me again in about 8-10 weeks argh!!Grin

applecore0317 · 17/02/2015 22:31

sorry you had a shite day just

yeah I was pretty impressed with the travelsystem. Nice and light too :) although the bloody cat has already found her way into the car seat Angry has been covered now with a box

We had lemon, sugar and cinnamon pancakes.. I ate three and a half... as dessert... ooops

making them again tomorrow night for my nieces... although I may skip dinner this time

Managed to get my wriggling bump on video today and send it to DH's Mum and sister :) one lives in South Africa and the other in the states, so its nice when I can send them stuff

applecore0317 · 17/02/2015 22:32

ooh sunshine how was it? I want to get mine done but wondered if it would hurt more than usual?

LP20140 · 17/02/2015 22:47

Luxurytrifle- I'm in Scotland, will be giving birth at forth Valley royal.

Not tried five guys restaurant but heard good things, will try to squeeze in a visit xxxx

Titsalinabumsquash · 18/02/2015 03:27

Checking in, sorry I've not been around or been able to read the 'Fred, DS1 is in the Royal Brompton hospital and the Internet here is sketchy at best.
Not good news unfortunately but we're keeping our spirits up.

My sister had her fourth baby on Monday so I have a new niece. Smile

I'm hoping we'll get back to our local hospital next week so I'll catch up then.

Sounds stressful Tits, hope things improve soon. Lovely news on your new niece Smile

We went for the Joie travel system, pretty happy with it although I've since got myself all worried that the car seat can't really be used for long as a bassinet as it doesn't lie flat. It's lovely though, it rocks when flat on a floor and everything. Was planning to use it when over visiting people etc.

Apple I have been trying to catch the bump wriggles on camera for ages now, my sister still can't get her head around them and whenever I try to show her on Skype the picture is just filled up with endless bump! Now I know it's possible I'll persevere :)

Feeling more tired as the weeks go by, but hard to tell if it's more from lugging around a big bump all day or not sleeping as well. I'm longing for the day when I can just easily turn over in bed in seconds again - oh and sleep on my stomach! Will be bliss!

applecore0317 · 18/02/2015 06:46

Sorry you're having a tough timw Tits hope all works out ok with your DS1 and congrats on your new niece

ginger I recommend a plain top whilst trying to get it. I wore a striped one and it just confused it, worked better with a plain top and plain different coloured bottoms :)

Fluffeh · 18/02/2015 07:14

Hope the ecg shows what's wrong Mum.

Oh tits how stressful. I hope your DS is out and home soon feeling much better.

We're reusing dd's pram it's a Hauck infinity. No idea when it was made haha I bought it from a fb selling page just after she was born because I hated the graco we had bought. It's parent or world facing and has a carry cot or toddler seat. It doesn't fold small but it is so easy to push and pull and really comfy. Dd hasn't used it in around a year as we got a Maclaren (then again she hasn't used that in around 2 months because she hates being pushed in prams now). I did buy a double Maclaren too but at the grand old age of 21 months she has quit buggies so it won't be needed.
We have a big bed coming for DD tomorrow and will be saving the cotbed for the baby when he arrives. I'll set it up as a co sleeper again as it was just so easy last time.
Scan tomorrow and we're going away for the weekend on Friday. Itll be our last break without the new baby eek x

SmileyScooby · 18/02/2015 07:27

Tits sorry to hear DS in hospital, hope he is out soon, congrats on your new niece though!

mum hope Ecg gives some answers

ginger I know what you mean about longing to easily turn over and sleep on stomach!!

Sunshinesaz86 · 18/02/2015 07:34

Ah tits sorry to hear your going through a tough time. Hope things work out ok and DS1 is ok? Congrats on your new niece.

apple the wax was fine, baby kicked a couple of times while it was being done but definitely didn't hurt anymore than usual. I just feel so much better for it! Grin I'd recommend!

Chookford · 18/02/2015 07:49

tits sorry to hear your having a tough time, hope your DS1 improves soon..

applecore0317 · 18/02/2015 07:56

great, thanks sunshine am on a spa break next weekend so might see if I can book in and get it done on the first day

KittyVonCatsington · 18/02/2015 07:58

Morning ladies! Just catching up and sending lots of supportive hugs to mumx and tits

Prob already said but am inheriting my sister's Stokke Xplory in a lovely shade of purple-I have long term back issues so the fact baby will be high up means I will bend over less which is a bonus but def couldn't afford it otherwise!

Have also 6 weeks left after this week! Just a shame bloody Govt (I will always hate you Gove!) is changing some of the A Level subjects to linear (all exams taken at end of Year 13) so have 6 weeks to design new scheme of work plus everything else Including marking Year 11 and Year 13 coursework when normally have Easter hols-eeek!!

Canterbury is lovely-beautiful sunny day and DH treated me to a pregnancy pamper session (seaweed mask on bump was v odd though!) And I got a judgy death stare from a woman in a pub-I had put two bottles of alcohol free beer in a pint glass but she just saw me drinking the beer. DH nearly wet himself laughing so much!!!!

We go home today boo!!! But finishing off clearing house of tat so baby furniture can be organised. It's getting closer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KittyVonCatsington · 18/02/2015 08:02

Oh and instead of a bikini wax, DH used my electric razor on me instead-now that's love!!!!! I miss being able to see my foof and feet!!

applecore0317 · 18/02/2015 08:46

glad you had a nice time kitty awesome that your DH did the bikini line, not sure I will have success with getting mine to do it ha ha

My feet are so small that I used to struggle to see them when bloated let alone pregnant, unless I lean forwards
