ceejay my mum throws chocolate at me from a safe distance when I am stressed!
honestly though I would benefit from the answer aswell!

jmojo · 13/02/2015 00:15

I clean, walk or swim when stressed. I also find reading good. Basically something that takes my mind away from it.

LostSoulsForever · 13/02/2015 03:55

Hey all, hope everyone is feeling well! Not been on for a while so lots to catch up on...
Broody you sound like you have a very balanced view following your quad results. Me & DP had the conversation before the nt test and came to the same conclusion as you. You will love your baby no matter what.
lucky I am pleased the bank has been quick to try & sort everything out - there are some real scumbags around.
Whoever's car was scratched (sorry I can't remember name) again there are some scumbags about. Within hours of my brother getting his new car, someone scratched 'nice car' into the door Angry
mrs f we are due date buddies! Do you have a date for your 20 week scan? Mine is two weeks today. Smile
I can't believe how rude some of your colleagues are on here. They need a serious talking to! As does anyone commenting on someone else's eating/drinking habits. And as for articles in the daily fail, not worth the time it takes to read them.
Still not feeling movements and remaining anxious. Going to start pregnancy yoga next week. Also need to stop eating so much sugar. I have not got a healthy diet & it will be baby that is suffering Sad

Butler4 · 13/02/2015 07:51

Walking albeit slowly, chatting with friends, having a nice king bath and reading with the feet up. That always helps me. If not some nice calming breathing exercises always does the trick. Hope you find something to help calm you down when stressed

Butler4 · 13/02/2015 07:52
  • long not king! Blooming phone
TouchPauseEngage · 13/02/2015 08:01

ceejay I strongly recommend yoga. We learn different breathing techniques every week and it's really helped- I am a big stress head!

lost I'm 20+3 today and yesterday was the first time I have felt movement. It was 5 big kicks too so it seems my baby doesn't go in for gentle swishing and fluttering. It's been worrying me and I spent ages last week trying to feel something. It'll happen! My scan isn't till next weds so seems an age away!

Fattycow · 13/02/2015 11:20

I'm 20 weeks today! Smile and Shock at the same time!

Thank you so much to everyone who has posted such kind messages re our quad results/DS possibilities. We have booked a consultation at the hospital for Monday morning to see what they say, knowing we won't go ahead with invasive testing but wanting to hear any other options or what support we will get. Just praying and hoping for a healthy baby at the end of the 40 weeks!

I'm staggered with the attitude some of you are receiving from colleagues about being pg. I remember hating when I was pg with dd that it seems if you're upduffed, you become public property - people rub your tummy and suddenly start talking about weight or bump size, thinking it's perfectly acceptable! Grrrrr. Bore off already!

Clstow · 13/02/2015 11:52

ceejay I've been using the Headspace iPhone app (it's free) to do a bit of simple meditation when I'm feeling stressed and find it really helps to calm me down. They probably have it for other smartphones as well.

I'm 17 weeks tomorrow and no movement yet, but in the last week my bump has come in to it's own and I'm rapidly running out of clothes to wear! Any recommendations for maternity jeans? Don't want to spend a fortune if I can avoid it...

luckythirteen · 13/02/2015 12:02

Clstow I am surviving with my two pairs of Topshop Leigh jeans! They have a thick, under the bump band and are very comfy. Not tried any over the bump styles yet!

Had my 20 week scan yesterday and thankfully all was well! Was a bit nervous beforehand. It took over an hour because Twin 1 wouldn't move around and show his spine properly! Was lovely though, saw one of the babies opening and closing his mouth, and all their fingers and toes! Hard to believe their head circumferences are around 17cm, seems massive!

Fleurchamp · 13/02/2015 12:05

clstow I am working my way through every pair of (skinny) maternity jeans known to man.
Topshop are ok but I find they lose their shape really quickly round the knees and bum.
New look did not work for me as I have pieces of cotton for legs and they were too baggy but the material was nice and soft
H & M ones are yet to arrive
Thinking of ordering ASOS own brand to see how they fare.

DH has offered to buy me the Isabella Oliver ones but at £95 Shock I am reluctant to agree - I do live in jeans outside of work though.

Naturegirl82 · 13/02/2015 12:17

clstow it's very much going to depend on your shape and style.

I've a few different types but unlike Fleur love my new look skinny jeans. It's probably worth ordering from a few places and trying them on to see what fits you best. This is why it bugs me that so many places don't stock maternity clothes instore anymore!

I've had to text my MW as I've been having a dull period type ache and cramps since last night (thought it was just from playing with DD), but they haven't gone today and now I'm getting sharp pains as well. Hoping it's just normal stretching but I don't remember this feeling from my last pregnancy.

MuddyWellyNelly · 13/02/2015 13:27

Nature, hope everything is ok. I'm sure it's just a growth spurt but good to get reassurance.

£95 does seem a lot for maternity jeans, but maybe you could sell them afterwards? Or check ebay just now?

Fatty - 20 weeks Shock. I'm only 16+3, due very end of July. I always feel so behind everyone else!

Great news for a good scan lucky. Agree that head circumference sounds big. I am very much ignoring the implications of such things Wink.

Jenbird5891 · 13/02/2015 13:57

I bought some h&m black skinny jeans and really like them. £20 so not expensive. Not sure how long they will fit but may just buy another pair a size Or two bigger when I get there.

fattymcfatfat · 13/02/2015 14:00

I live in jeggings atm....as I cant find any maternity jeans that dont cost a fortune when you are a single mum on benefits with two kids already! I do have one pair of maternity jeans from my last pg but they are crap! Sad will have to buy some proper ones soon though.

Fattycow · 13/02/2015 14:24

Muddy, time goes so very quickly! I'm due at the very start of July. Thinking about July seems ages away, but when I think I'm halfway there and have only about 20 weeks left, then it is suddenly really close!

OP posts:
Fleurchamp · 13/02/2015 14:48

muddy DH seems to think we will be having more children. His reasoning being they will be for more than one pregnancy Hmm

MuddyWellyNelly · 13/02/2015 15:21

Fleur then they only cost half as much Wink.

Seriously, check ebay, seem to be some on there, even unused.

jmojo · 13/02/2015 16:18

Ceejay I don't have access to any of the great stores that do maternity clothes cheap like you have in the UK. However we do have mothercare, and in their sale I bought some Blooming marvellous under the bump straight leg jeans for $35 so £25ish. They are more expensive here anyway so may be worth checking out. They look great and are good quality, and have buttons and elastic you can shorten the waist with on the inside. They work for me!

Fattycow · 13/02/2015 17:48

Who keeps changing the word sex in the stats list to gender???

OP posts:
Zampa · 13/02/2015 18:06

I wouldn't bother with Seraphine jeans. They are very well reviewed but mine fall down constantly. I wouldn't mind so much but they don't even have belt loops so can't hold them up that way. Big waste of money (£55). However, I'll see how they go when I get bigger. Regardless, they'll resell easily on eBay.

I like my H+M pair (despite having to get 2 sizes larger than normal). They also fall down but stay up with a belt (they have loops, hurrah!).

Zampa · 13/02/2015 18:07

Not me fatty. I'm with you on this one. It's important to differentiate the two.

LaLaLaaaa · 13/02/2015 18:27

I love my new look skinny mat jeans! Live in them

LaLaLaaaa · 13/02/2015 18:28

Fatty if you open in drive and look at history of changes you should be able to find out

JoY007 · 13/02/2015 18:35

Hi Ladies,
