Its officially brilliant!

Spose we better finish the baby's room next, poor sod! Its mostly done- just furniture to build, carpet, final bit of paint. Then onwards with the partially finished kitchen. Then i plan to do no more decorating for at least a year!

Purple I'm in the same boat today. Started work at 8 today to be greeted by a 2yr old who's been up since 4.30! Very very long day.
Struggling with walking this week think baby is definitely engaged. Again don't remember any of this from last time.

Grinningcat · 08/01/2015 09:23

Congratulations Mrs. Exciting!

Working from home today and tomorrow on account of not getting a carparking permit at work. I am now supposed to get first dibs, but don't want to throw my weight around especially if my manager is okay with me working from home instead Grin. However if I wasn't motivated yesterday, I'm not sure how working from home is going to help.... At least I'm sat in front of the computer with my blackberry turned on!

jenmcspen · 08/01/2015 11:17

Congratulations Mrs Smile

Are we having a postnatal thread? Would be nice to have one as well as the FB group as babies arrive

WhyOWhyWouldYou · 08/01/2015 11:21

Congratulations Mrs

PeppermintInfusion · 08/01/2015 11:49

Congratulations Mrs!

It's getting real for us all now Grin

My HV called this morning. She was lovely, didn't ask too much (pregnancy, work, family, mental health etc) and was only here about 15 mins. At least the house is sparkling clean as a result!

Memphisbelly · 08/01/2015 12:09

Im back from mw, I cried Blush I said about my awful headaches then how I cannot sleep when I have them and I am so fed up, she called hosputal straight away but to see a consultant is next friday when I already have an appointment, she said she wants me to tell thrm about the headaches and to demand an induction, I will be 3 days off of 39 weeks by thrn and they induce people at 38-39 weeks with no medical need so she said dont budge until they agree to one

amyandtom · 08/01/2015 12:18

Congrats mrs, hope everything is going well for you with James Smile

Frenetic we definately should have a postnatal thread for our February bumps turning into babies! Grin

BanglesSpangles · 08/01/2015 12:18

aw memphis, you poor thing- your midwife sounds brill though. Hope you get the result you need from the consultant

Bangles im not holding my breath, she said write it all down as I will come out of the scan all glowy and happy to see the baby again and she said 'lay it on thick, tears, guilt trip them etc'

freneticfox · 08/01/2015 12:21

Congrats mrsjhb - it's all getting so real now eh!

Hugs for you Memphis, it's so frustrating to have to fight for something when you're just completely lacking in energy. Hoping they'll not be too pushy.

Mobility is fast becoming a distant memory, thanks SPD! Still holding out hope I can shake off this cold before I go into labour (I'm 34+5 so totally possible, right?)

Feeling good about my choice to not sugar coat anything; a friend of mine contacted me yesterday; she's in her second trimester and is sick of people telling her things get better, pregnancy is magical etc. She wanted some 'real talk' and had seen my open and honest Facebook posts. Glad there are others out there who don't buy into this 'magical pregnancy' thing ;)

If we go on to have another DC and I have a wonderful pregnancy and sing about it, I give all of you permission to call me a hypocrite!

BanglesSpangles · 08/01/2015 12:32

'lay it on thick, tears, guilt trip them etc'

haha-brilliant

Frenetic they say that you forget the details or you would never have another child. I didn't have too shitty a pregnancy last time but labour was shit....but it was all worth it, I felt this urge thr moment I held ds. This is why I am trying to stay upbeat (ish) even when all I want to do is cry because I know I will feel it was all worth it as soon as he is in my arms.
I really hope you have an amazing waterbirth after the crap 8 months you have had you deserve to come away saying the pregnancy was crap but labour was a breeze Grin

Bangles....lI know, I have to say my midwife is pretty awesome, just looked at my notes she has layed it on in the book saying I look terrible, awful to watch me suffer and am clearly trying to br brave when I am struggling so much (get the worlds smallest violin out haha)

Ticktick · 08/01/2015 12:43

mrs congratulations! Lovely to hear you and James are doing well. Was he a surprise arrival or did you go in for CS?
