We were getting perilously close to being full up, hope no one minds!

Ugh dh just said "I'm sorry we are NOT having a Sacha. I'm sorry but if you wanted interesting or 'foreign' names then you married the wrong person". I told him he'd better start thinking of names then.

I love our dd's name but I think I will always have a tiny regret that her middle name that I loved is hidden in there. Don't get me wrong, she's a perfect Kaitlin/Katy/Kitty (when I get away with it) but her middle name is Meadow which I think is beautiful. At the time I was just grateful he let me have it at all! And I do think Katy/Kitty is cool. But Meadow has the unusual factor.

At this rate this baby boy will be Rory Jack or Jack Benjamin. Both absolutely fine and lovely and I like them, but they don't flip my heart like little Sacha does.

Lauren82000 · 30/11/2014 12:50

Apparently not. She just got me twice more and is now sleeping on daddy.

I wouldn't mind but I have limited clothing that fits and isn't already in the wash. So now I'm in my painting jogging bottoms and a hoody I can't zip! All sicky clothes are in the washing machine but having no way of drying anything but a maiden they aren't going to be dry till tomorrow!

FreedomHuntress · 30/11/2014 13:53

daholster, what about Alexander, nn Sacha? I don't really know how you get from Alexander to Sacha, but apparently you do! Then he has options like Alex, Al, Sandy ...
Or Satchel? Like the guy from Steel Panther! :)
I love Kitty!

kismac · 30/11/2014 14:00

Oh no Lauren, yuck. Hope she feels better soon.

For anyone looking for bras - M&S have non padded, non underwired 2 pack bras starting from £9.50. Had to go buy more bras and I will not be making the rookie mistake of spending £60 on maternity bras only to out grow them in a few weeks. Doh!

I also M&S have 30% off night wear, so I've bought 'the nightie' for when family and friends come to visit the baby in hospital. I think it's very glam. I have this wee notion that im going to reinvent myself and be glam. Ha ha.

Hello new thread!

Last night was absolutely gruesome - I was up about four times, ostensibly for the loo but sometimes just because I woke up. Worst night so far. I don't know if it was because bump has really started to get going with the movement thing, or whether it was the beetroot we had for dinner acting as diuretic, but I could really have done without such a bad night's sleep!

Incidentally, anyone else noticing that although they might be getting the same amount of hours in bed, the quality of the sleep is starting to decline?

20w+4

Lauren82000 · 30/11/2014 14:24

Annia I just feel knackered all the time. But the last 2 nights I haven't actually woken up for a wee which us a big improvement!

TinyTear · 30/11/2014 15:20

Went to Spitalfields market today. Didn't really buy much and am knackered!

daholster · 30/11/2014 15:42

freedom it's a good idea, but dh says we still couldn't use Sacha as a nickname, I asked. Even if he called him something else. Humph!

Lauren82000 · 30/11/2014 15:49

Could you not even use it in secret like a secret little name between you and your son. He wouldn't need to know. HeheWink

daholster · 30/11/2014 16:05

Love that idea lauren! Maybe I'll try... Wink

It's ok, Rory and Jack and Benjamin do make me smile. I think I'm chasing the holy grail wanting something that will make me feel the same way as my daughters name does. Boys names are just not the same to me!

daholster · 30/11/2014 16:05

However I do wish dh would bother to think of some!!!!!

Lauren82000 · 30/11/2014 16:25

When we were looking for a name for DD, DH barely came up with any I just said names at him till he agreed with one. Think we had only 1 proper name conversation and he only came up with was something like Harrison that we can shorten. I struggled for boy names and I still have a few girl names up my sleeve this time. God help us if this is a boy as I don't have a clue. I don't really like any boys names. Hmm

On a good note DD perked right up about an hour ago and has been her normal hyper self ever since. That 2 hour nap really worked wonders. It's my bed though so won't be fun later when I'm trying to get her settled.

mswibble · 30/11/2014 17:20

fizzy mine is at 3.50pm! Am counting down the sleeps!

catsofa · 30/11/2014 17:59

Hmm, I'm just reading this thread and thinking that moving house with a tiny baby would be a terrible idea!

mswibble · 30/11/2014 18:17

annia I seem to be having more hours of sleep but am very restless through the night. I need to investigate those maternity pillows as I get such sore hips through the night. Anyone else suffering with that?

londonlivvy · 30/11/2014 18:34

We moved at 35 weeks, catsofa and it was fine. I would consider moving with a tiny baby much harder. Not impossible, of course, but harder, because you have their needs to attend to all the time. For example, we found ourselves sitting in the drive waiting for the paperwork to finalise so we could get the keys for over an hour. Not the end of the world, but it would have been more stressful to be breastfeeding / changing an explosive nappy in the back of the car. Also finding the energy to unpack everything with sleep deprivation would have been hard. if you've family to help, though, I'm sure it'd be OK.

Lauren82000 · 30/11/2014 19:07

Today I feel like Mr Greedy! It's the pink tshirt that does it I think.
19+4.

chiliplant · 30/11/2014 19:35

Hi all! Are we all firmly in our maternity clothes now? Hope you're all doing well.
Moving with a new born sounds like a nightmare. I suppose u just have t keep your eye on the prize so t speak! X

BananaToast · 30/11/2014 19:35

Wow that's a proper bump Lauren!

Well pram shopping has led to car shopping this weekend! We have wanted to get a bigger car for a while, our current one is really small and getting quite old. When we tried the pram in the boot before buying we found it wouldn't fit unless we took a wheel off. Manageable but a bit of a pain. So we have decided it is now definitely time to trade in the car for a bigger, more practical one. Eek - for something so tiny this baby is becoming expensive quickly!

BananaToast · 30/11/2014 19:37

Cross posted - chili I've retired my normal jeans in the last week, my maternity ones are just so comfy! Wearing a couple of maternity tops but mainly normal tops with maternity jeans or leggings.

Lauren82000 · 30/11/2014 20:00

My over bump jeans are too loose in the waist so have to roll the over bump bit over to keep them up. Apparently if you have a bump it's really low and your hips are 3times the size! I don't think that works with me. I'm well miffed ordered some jeggings and leggings from matalan on Monday finally got an email today saying the jeggings are out if stock. Pretty sure they were in stick when I ordered the buggers on Monday! Very annoyed, was looking forward to wearing my converse this week at work but they just don't go with leggings.

Banana sometimes I catch myself waddling a bit. It's far too soon to waddle!

londonlivvy · 30/11/2014 20:04

Mega busy weekend here, sorting flat pack furniture to move dd into her new room, putting up curtain rails etc etc. manic. But v satisfied with what we've managed to do. Dd is not convinced that the new room is really hers, so keeps going back to the old one. Hopefully she will get used to the idea soon. Fortunately we've a while before the new baby gets here.

I bought a nursing chair for 12 quid on ebay. Hurrah! Going to go pick it up tomorrow night I think.

kismac · 30/11/2014 21:07

Just ordered a cot bed and changing unit set as part of a Black Friday deal. It's beginning to feel very real! Eek!

BananaToast · 30/11/2014 21:12

Yep, ordering the pram today felt very scary! Would rather have waited a bit longer but didn't want to miss the offer and end up paying more.

daholster · 30/11/2014 21:28

Really sore tummy at times today, across the top of the bump then all over. Even felt it to make sure wasn't contracting! Settled with some rest but intermittently comes on sore. It's a bit unnerving.

Last pregnancy had Braxton hicks from about 25 weeks but I was ill and the doctors thought it was to do with my inflamed colon irritating the uterus. This time my colon is gone!!! Though I do still have 20cm of rectum left so maybe it's enough. Who knows... It comes back every time I get up and do something... Only heated up some pudding and I'm a bit sore again! Not sure if I should be worried. I'm guessing probably not.
