Wow looks like we'll be starting thread number 3 today ladies! I can't keep up!

Not been posting but keeping up as much as possible.

Pipbin · 28/11/2014 09:05

I think I'm so worried because this is my last chance. It was my last round of IVF and there is 0 chance of a natural conception.

Number3cometome · 28/11/2014 09:14

Morning ladies,

Had our work Christmas party in Newcastle last night, was pretty easy not having a drink actually, I did push the boat out and have a Becks blue, gosh that stuff leaves an aftertaste.
My steak was well done, I miss blue steak. The cheese board came up and I could have cried! Brie, blue cheese and other contraband
I just said I wasn't hungry and passed on that. I hate being a liar!
At midnight I had to admit I was pregnant to get some people off my back, they wanted to go to the casino and good job I didn't go - they rolled in at nearly 5am!

Got a delicious appetite this morning just wolfed down a fry up, I need refuel before the long trip back to London.

sarky hope you are ok? Brown blood is usually old blood so fx for you! Hopefully you will get a scan soon?

X

Sarky hope you are feeling ok, fx, trust it will all be fine. xxx

Glad its the weekend, not because I am up to anything fun, but means I don't have to be at work, and can have a lie down whenever Smile

Hope everyone is feeling good today.

VirtualPointyHat · 28/11/2014 10:15

fx for everyone that needs it

Just came back from booking in appt, why is it I get up few times in the night to go to the loo, but when I need to produce a sample nothing happens Hmm

misseskimo · 28/11/2014 13:02

Afternoon ladies, had my first full on "I think I'm going to hurl" moment this morning, as I tried to feed my cats (DH usually does it, but was running late this morning so asked me) I was literally shaking all over and seeing spots, had to lay down for a good 10-15mins to overcome it! I usually have nausea ALL day, but that was something else!

No more blood overnight thank god but today I have alot of tmi sorry in advance dark yellow cm with the odd brownish tinge... I've spoken to my Dr's and have been booked in with my usual Dr tomorrow morning. They did offer an appointment in 30mins time, but I can't make it due to being an hour bus journey away! Though have been told to pop by this evening if I do get worse (we have a walk-in section upto 10pm at my Drs)... The Dr I spoke to is recommending a course of antibiotics in case of infection, but said he'll leave it to my normal Dr to decide tomorrow after seeing me. They've also booked me in for another scan on Monday morning, as the sonographer has called in sick today, so couldn't do today - Just to make sure everything is still OK. I think I should be 8wks Monday, so keeping all my fx that I still have a healthy baby in there!!!

WantToGoingTo · 28/11/2014 13:31

It say on NHS website that Stilton is ok as it is a hard cheese (no to Gorgonzola Danish blue and st agur) and that Brie an Camembert are ok if cooked (eg deep fried Brie nom nom) salami ok if frozen before eating. So not all doom and gloom :) I am having deep fried Camembert at work Xmas meal and will be eating stilton! The reasoning is that if you I get foodnpoisonin it can be really dangerous. But tbh I have meet heard of anyone (pregnant or not) getting food poisoning from cheese, salami or smoked salmon! Think just a case of being sensible :)

I read somewhere that the last time a pregnant woman had listeria was in 1994, so I just eat as normal really. No booze though until 12 weeks, then I will have a spritzer every now & then!

Best wishes to all those fearful of miscarriage. It really is an anxious time.

I've had my booking in appointment & got my scan date - was initially offered 17th Dec which would have been great as seeing family the following weekend so could have told them then - but DH couldn't make that date so going to an appointment on 23rd now. Think the family will guess anyway as the champagne will be flowing & I won't be drinking, & my SIL knows we were thinking of a third. Looking forward to it & finding out if everything is okay...

BadIdeaBear · 28/11/2014 14:23

Fx for all those needing it at the moment.

I had my 7-week scan today - went private as I couldn't cope with waiting til January for NHS at 13 weeks.

All well - I seem to be healthy and baby good size and has strong heartbeat, apparently. That's all made it seem a bit real. Bit odd, innit, this pregnancy thing?!

broodylicious · 28/11/2014 14:51

Good news miss, sophie and bad Smile

miss, I'm with you on the first hurling moments today. I've had two today where I had to crouch down to the loo in preparation but didn't do anything in the end. I do still feel rough though and as though if I tried, I could be properly sick. Plus, don't know if anyone else is getting this, but I'm pooing more than usual - three times yesterday, same today! Usually it's constipation for many women at this stage but for now, it seems the other way. I think I may have BlushBlushBlushhaemorrhoids tooBlushBlushBlush I am not complaining though, all good signs Wink

I think I got my first (or maybe my second?) craving today... Chips and Gravy... Was making myself a sandwich for lunch when I suddenly had the urge for chips and gravy! Tried to ignore it, but the more I ignored it, the more I needed wanted it! I also cooked up a quiche to go with it, but once cooked, couldn't face the quiche, so just had the chips and gravy... What was worse... I drank the gravy from the bowl like it was soup... Oh well!

I did have a real sugar craving the other day, and cola licorice laces was the first thing that popped into my head. I rarely eat sweets, and can't remember the last time I had licorice! So sent DH to the shops to get me some (alongside other necessary shopping items of course!), but I just assumed it was just that my sugar levels had dropped, and that I must have seen licorice somewhere for me to think of it... Didn't think you could get cravings this early, but having just googled checked it seems to be a common symptom to get at the same time as nausea. Weird!

misseskimo · 28/11/2014 14:58

broody I personally find if a bowl or toilet is within eye-sight then I definitely will throw-up, but if I can't see anything to remind me and sit/lay down in a dark room, it usually subsides... I'm going to jinx that now though!! I have hemorrhoids also Sad but then I've had them on and off for years since I was bed-ridden for 6weeks following an RTC. So knew I would get them again as soon as I was pg, and low and behold, 7+5 and their at their worst! Sad Sad Sad

naty1 · 28/11/2014 15:39

My piles were bad in 2ww (ivf meds) but as the ovaries have gone back down its got better.
I use baby wipes (with nappy sacs). I am dreading later pg though.

Kilicat · 28/11/2014 15:49

Fx for all those who need it (well maybe that's all of us but I mean those who are worried about bleeding etc.)

All this talk of piles has convinced me I need to stock up on prunes and dried apricots....keep things moving along nicely and reduce the risk!! It doesn't should particularly pleasant and I naively thought they were something fun to look forward to in later pregnancy. I read somewhere you can get them in your lady bits too (thankfully I don't think it's that common?) - I don't suppose prunes helps prevent that!!

Kilicat · 28/11/2014 15:50

**should was meant to be sound

Leela5 · 28/11/2014 16:36

Today is my first day if feeling horrendous. I am totally constipated and nauseous and have been lying in sofa all day. Had to get mum to run to boots for pregnancy-friendly laxative (fybogel in case anyone interested).

I'm in so much pain and feel sick if I get up.

6+6

misseskimo · 28/11/2014 16:50

ooh thanks on the fybogel leela last scan I was told I had "too much bowel" so the sonographer couldn't get a look at the ovaries, so I'd like to umm "loosen up" ahem before Monday if I can!

Leela5 · 28/11/2014 16:55

It seems to be working (slowly) - I'm not in as much pain. Hope it works for you!

misseskimo · 28/11/2014 17:14

If I remember right, they do them in a few different flavours too? Making a mental note to go to Boots in the morning!!

Leela5 · 28/11/2014 17:17

Mine's orange (loose sense of the word though!) with grainy bits. It wasn't too bad :)

Do we have a new thread?

misseskimo · 28/11/2014 17:19

Just thought that and set one up...

Hope this works!! Sorry for the weird name, was the first thing I could think of!

New Thread

Leela5 · 28/11/2014 17:20

Saw it! Nice one miss :)

here's the link

Zampa · 28/11/2014 17:20

I was prescribed a laxative called Molaxole last week. Tastes a bit like bicarbonate of soda but I can testify to its effectiveness!

Glad it's not just me!

Leela5 · 28/11/2014 17:20

X posted :) same link though! See you on the other side!
