Orange that's amazing news fx!

I think I feel nauseous, although I am scared it is all in my head!!!

Last night I felt so crap. I defo think I am worse if I have a nap if that makes sense? I wake up feeling so yuck and achy.

6+5

misseskimo · 27/11/2014 09:12

Wow orange super congrats. Fingers crossed for you that LO catches up Thanks

Another one with a bad night last night Sad up most of the night with a mix of tingling sensation which was uncomfortable and sharpish pains down my lower left side everytime I layed on my back. But if I turned on my side, both my rock solid boobs hurt like heck and my sciatica in my leg kicked in with a vengeance. But from about 5am the pain switched to the right side, and now its right the way across and its best friend nausea has popped by too. I'm starting to wonder if I have an infection as both times urine tests have been done they've mentioned I had some signs of infection but that the antibodies or something could also just be due to hormone changes, so as I didnt have any other symptoms like burning when wee etc they said to leave it for now. But now I'm getting loads of slightly yellow with the occasional pink tinge cm and discomfort "down there" but still no burning? Is this just normal pg growing pains? Anyone else experienced this? Advice would be really appreciated Blush

Number3cometome · 27/11/2014 09:14

Misseskimo - give your doc a ring for reassurance, some pink spotting is apparently normal, but with the back ache maybe it's a urine infection so worth checking.

TinyCaterpillar · 27/11/2014 09:18

Wow twins! Congrats orange.

Feeling super nauseous today, not quite sure how I safely managed the drive into work and not sure how I'm going to get through it now I'm here. Luckily (?) I only have to work the morning but then I have the joys of toddler supervision this afternoon, at least we can crash out with Cbeebies on the sofa tho.

TinyCaterpillar · 27/11/2014 09:18

Oh I'm 6+6 today.

IBelieveInPink · 27/11/2014 10:33

Hi all. Wow it's hard to keep up! Congrats to all those with good scans, pleased to hear it.

Symptoms raging here. Feeling vomlicious every morning, through til gone lunchtime. Not the easiest while looking after a 1yr old!

Had my booking in. Was refused an early scan. I was hoping as we've moved house this area may be a little more sympathetic, but obviously I just pick crap places to give early scan wise.... How on earth did so many of you clever ladies talk them in to getting you an early scan?!

purplegiraffe yes I am deciding between c section and vbac. My dd was an emergency section, so I'm kind of inclined towards a planned section, as I know my chances of another will be so much higher. And DH would far rather a nice planned section, but will have to see what the consultants say...

Leela5 · 27/11/2014 10:34

Morning!

Congratulations for all of you who have had your scans and seen your babies. Fx for your twins orange.

Any of you worrying about twinges it's perfectly normal stretchy pains as baby settles in. If you have any bleeding or severe cramps it's worth giving epu a call for a chat and see if you can get checked out and put mind at rest.

I was awake at 2, 3 and 5 am - but have had sleep in til 10 now because I'm on leave. Bliss. Sorry to those with ms. I get it only a bit if I travel and in afternoon. Yesterday was the day I started having problems in last pg so I was very anxious. The next week is going to be tough until scan next wed. Keeping positive though.

Leela5 · 27/11/2014 10:35

I would agree with whoever said if you get burning pains it might be uti so worth getting checked.

DustOffYourHighestHopes · 27/11/2014 10:36

Can I join? Second baby, third pregnancy (alas). Due date 25th July.

Leela5 · 27/11/2014 10:38

pink I'm getting early scan because I mc in sept and they need to check my dates as I didn't have period between. Not sure I feel lucky but I know what you mean and understand totally how you feel Smile. You can pay for private early scan - that's what I did last time.

Leela5 · 27/11/2014 10:39

*clever sorry, not lucky. Damn brain.

Number3cometome · 27/11/2014 10:40

Welcome dust!

I am still waiting for a phone call about my scan.

Ibelieve my midwife referred me for an early scan based on my previous pregnancies - they may not think you need one, but you can still pay privately (£50-£100) for a scan if you are worrying?
If not speak to your midwife, if you are very anxious they probably will oblige, but if you can cope until 12 weeks without, then even better.

The consultant doesn't decide whether you VBAC or C-sec - they will only advise and then let you take the lead with your decision.

Love the term 'vomlicious' that did make me giggle!

Pipbin · 27/11/2014 10:49

Welcome Dust. Sorry for your loss.

sdyer · 27/11/2014 10:50

Wow that's great orange I'd love twins! Congrats Flowers I'm 7+7 today still no sickness and somedays I don't even feel pregnant apart from when I get bloated x

Leela5 · 27/11/2014 10:53

I think if you are really anxious then depending on area they might cave and let you have scan. Worth asking. My private scan was £95 last time.

Welcome dust and congratulations!

Butler4 · 27/11/2014 11:06

Sdyer thank goodness someone else feels the same. I feel nauseous now and then and do feel tired and have massive hard boobs but I don't feel pregnant either! I'm 8+1 not had ms and feeling ok really.

Number3cometome · 27/11/2014 11:08

Random question - This is probably more aimed towards the ladies who already have 1, 2 or more DC, but has anyone started to get what looks like a very small bump?
I have. Im usually pretty slim in the stomach area but have a fat arse and it's already looking like it's starting to swell.
Last night DS said to me "Mum are you getting fat, or is that the baby?"
and OH has commented that I 'feel' different.
I haven't put on any weight, but certainly have a hardening.
For most, I guess it looks like bloating?
Also this morning I got that horrible pain you get when you stretch too far? Really low down. Got that loads with DS and DD

broodylicious · 27/11/2014 11:13

pink, my local nhs trust don't give out early scans either (unless you're in pain, have bleeding or like leela, there's some confusion over dates). My mw said that even though I'd mc at 12 weeks and she understood my current fretting, it's sadly so common (one in four), that they can't afford to give everyone who has mc previously an early scan. It's frustrating and I'd love to see what's going in there but I've now accepted that I can't get one free and so what will be will be. I just need the next six weeks to whizz by (Christmas should help with that!) then I'll be in that nhs waiting room shitting myself

DustOffYourHighestHopes · 27/11/2014 11:21

Thank you for the welcome!

Number. Me too, I look three months gone. I had it last time - for me it's basically pregnancy bloating combined with zero stomach muscles.

Ibelieve, my early scan is also due to previous early MC. Last time we paid about £100 to the Fetal Medicine Centre for an 8 week scan and it was worth it for us (we needed to tell some people about the pregnancy as my massive vomitathons couldn't be concealed from them - once you see a heartbeat at 8 weeks the chance of miscarriage is reduced, so we had more certainty when we broke the news).

Number3cometome · 27/11/2014 11:35

dust It is defo a reassurance, although not a guarantee, I did read that if you see a heartbeat at 8 weeks your chances of MC reduce to 2% and even further than that if your last baby was a live birth.
Yes I defo have zero lower stomach muscles! 2 c-sections and a spinal fusion (both anterior and posterior) has left my lower abdomen looking like a patchwork quilt! Although I don't mind if it helps me get a seat quicker on the train!

Talking of trains, what do we all think about 'Baby on Board' badges?
I'm an Essex to London commuter, saw a lady last night with zero bump with a badge on?
Not sure what I think about this!!

JoY007 · 27/11/2014 11:49

Number3cometome I have a bulge as well Smile, I am a size 10 and this is DC1, looks like I am bloated :-) I am 8+1.

I have a baby on board badge I inherited from a colleague, but not planning on wearing until I am really showing and need it. You can get one from any tube station in London if you want one.

TinyCaterpillar · 27/11/2014 11:50

number yep me too on the baby bump/ bloat - shouldn't be surprised really as people guessed around 10w last time so it was likely to be even earlier this time. whispers I've broken out the maternity jeans already for lounging in .... They feel so nice when I'm feeling sick and don't press on my stomach at all. Lovely! I look pg already to anyone who knows what I normally look like, I'm very small tho (usually a 6-8 and short) and also have no stomach muscles left from be previous two so I suppose it's not that strange!

Number3cometome · 27/11/2014 11:50

I've taken a pic of my bump, I'm going to do one each week all being well :)

JoY007 · 27/11/2014 12:06

I tried to last night, but was not impressed with the image so I deletedHmm.

So self conscious now, work in a corporate environment hence most of my outfits are dresses and skirts so have to wear a blazer to hide the bulge. Not told them at work, will not do until after Xmas.

Thepurplegiraffe · 27/11/2014 12:25

Number I am not wearing a badge as I can normally get a seat but this is almost the time I need it most as I feel so awful most of the time. The other day I had to stand due to delays and by the time I got off the train I was a white, shaking, crying mess. Didn't feel right for the rest of the day.
Talking of which a couple more people at the office have probably guessed now after I nearly passed out climbing 5 flights of stairs after a fire alarm. If they haven't guessed they must think I am severely unfit!
