Just marking my place ladies. After a phone call to epu I had a last minute cancellation appointment this afternoon and had an early scan to see if there was any problems causing the brown spotting and all is well with baby. I even saw the baby's heart beat. So lucky to have such a great help from the nhs.
New due date is 8th July. Sorry to mess with you stats sarky

Verisimilitude · 18/11/2014 17:03

Hello all! Have namechanged because it's too early to get excited so I want to keep it seperate iykwim but I want to join in too!

I'm due 21st July but as I am really old I need to be cautious. I am trying to be phlegmatic but failing.

Congratulations everyone Smile

misseskimo · 18/11/2014 17:10

Nice title want Let's see how long this one lasts us!

Butler glad to hear everything is OK, that's really good that they got you in at such short notice!

My and DH are now trying to think of how to make our announcement, as we had planned to make cards for everyone at Christmas with the scan picture on the front, but as our scan isn't until 30th now, we're thinking that throws the idea out the window! Also his Mum is apparently very "knowing" and can tell when people are pregnant... I'm not sure how much I believe in that, but she apparently knew his sister was pregnant both times before she announced anything, the second time apparently before she had even got a BFP! She's also done it to a few girls at her work, having asked them if their pregnant, and finding out that their either only a few weeks gone, or that they didn't even know themselves... We're seeing her over Christmas, and I'm so paranoid she's going to guess and ruin our surprise that I'm wondering if it's worth telling before we have the scan :( So far we haven't told ANYONE and it's driving me crazy!

247babyonthebrain · 18/11/2014 17:11

Thanks for Stats!

I am in Surrey, just checked with my local hospital and i self refer to them from 6 weeks and they do a scan between 12-13 (going to have to wait till 2nd week if Jan)!

Will check with GP surgery if i self refer to midwife there!

MissManage · 18/11/2014 17:18

oooohhh can I add my due date? 23rd July x

Bustherb · 18/11/2014 17:20

Just checking in here Wink I think it's pregnancy hormones making me so angry but how can one human being breath so LOUD!! Someone at work who sits the other side of the office was breathing so loud today. I could have literally smacked him ShockShock xx

naty1 · 18/11/2014 17:20

Im due july 13. Ivf so scan next week. Very nervous.
My booking isnt till 9/12. I wanted earlier as PP said re xmas 12 wks is new yr week.
Im going to speak gp about referral to consultant due to thyroid.

SophieBarringtonWard · 18/11/2014 17:23

Hello again.

I'm expecting DC3, LMP date is actually end of June but as I have 35 days cycles I expect to be about a week later than that - so early July Smile

Feeling very tardy in that I still don't have a booking in appointment or scan date! I wanted my GP to refer me to a case loading midwifery service (One2One), which has been strangely complicated. I have the referral form now & it actually has the dates on it for my miscarried pregnancy in August. Hoping that isn't going to put another spanner in the works!

I am fairly symptom-free, which is consistent with my other 2 successful pregnancies, but after miscarrying I am much more nervous than I have been before. Had an early scan last week & saw the heartbeat, which apparently puts likelihood of pregnancy continuing to 78% (6-8 weeks), and 98% if you see a heartbeat at 8 weeks...

Thepurplegiraffe · 18/11/2014 17:25

Which hospital is that 247baby? I am in Surrey also and can't decide where to go.

TinyCaterpillar · 18/11/2014 17:25

I can't believe you're going to the gym number3! It's hard enough to drag myself out of bed let alone to exercise!

I filled in the referral form for the hospital at the weekend, I'm bypassing the GP this time round! Haven't heard anything yet but hopefully soon... Also considering paying for an early scan around 8/9 weeks so we can tell people at Xmas - anyone else?

Bustherb · 18/11/2014 17:28

Tiny I'm having an early scan on Sunday which I should be 8 weeks by then although I've got a feeling I might be a bit further on than I think after implantation bleeding early xx

ignominious · 18/11/2014 17:33

Marking place. Nausea!

MissManage · 18/11/2014 17:55

Same Purple giraffe. I had my DD at East Surrey and they were fab there x

Leela5 · 18/11/2014 18:01

Ooh I'm booked in to East Surrey! Glad you thought it was good Grin

TouchPauseEngage · 18/11/2014 18:12

Hellooooo new thread!
I finally have booking appointment - next Tuesday morning. But wierdly she worked out my dates as 8 today (not 7+5) and said I was due end of June. im guessing that this will change at scan as I have a long cycle, so I'm not jumping ship to June, anyway I like it here!

number3 having felt like crap for last few weeks I now feel better and am back running and actually seem to be fitter...maybe it's all the extra blood pumping through my veins Hmm. I DO NOT expect this to last Grin

headlesschicken247 · 18/11/2014 18:35

Pah - all these east Surrey - I'm west!
Phew I'm glad that day is over. I had terrible insomnia and didn't get to sleep until 3. At least I'm home although I've just discovered I've destroyed my favourite jumper in the tumble - not happy.

Hoping dh comes home soon but I think he'll be pulling a late one and I need to try and get DS's hair washed as it appears to have been attacked by desert at nursery

misseskimo · 18/11/2014 18:49

Everyone seems to be from Surrey! Out of interest, is anyone Essex way?

Sarkymare · 18/11/2014 18:51

Thanks for the stats sdyer.

That's fantastic news butler. I'm so pleased they managed to get you in today to ease your mind.

misses I feel your pain. We want to announce over Christmas but I doubt I will have my scan by then. My grandma called me yesterday and asked me if I was planning on having any more soon. I sooo wanted to tell her!!

Sarkymare · 18/11/2014 18:54

Gosh there's a lot from surrey here. Any bristolians about?

TTCMrsF · 18/11/2014 19:03

Hello all,

We are due 16th July our first! V excited but I'm so wanting to be a mummy I do worry myself. But trying to relax about it all.

I'm not booked in with midwife til 9th dec and wondered how long it then takes to get a dating scan apt on average?

Also I'm confused - can we pick a maternity service to deliver at or do you have no choice in the matter?

Thanks all
Xx

Thepurplegiraffe · 18/11/2014 19:04

North Surrey here, just to be different. I have no idea where the East Surrey is.

headlesschicken247 · 18/11/2014 19:13

purple we're probably quite close then. I'm toying with the idea of self referring at St Peters as they will get the forms a week before they will if I fill them in at drs next week. Still hoping that I can persuade the doc to refer me for an early scan. I know this might be wishful thinking but you can but hope.

Thepurplegiraffe · 18/11/2014 19:26

I had my last baby at St Peters Headless and that is where I will go if I don't self refer somewhere else. I hinted to the midwife on the phone about getting an early scan and she shut me down pretty quick. I did have a very early mc though, think you might get one if it was later...
