Shockingly awful day here, will post tomorrow. Hope everybody well xx

GinIsCalling · 10/11/2014 04:10

Evening all! I'm 14 weeks today - officially second trimester. I celebrated by throwing up all my dinner. Hoping that's the last time. Isn't this meant to be the magical moment the sickness clears? Never had any the first time round, but seem to have had a double dose this time.
Hope everyone is well.

Snooky17 · 10/11/2014 05:08

Morning, oh the joy of 5 in the morning can't sleep ness. Marking my place and hope your ok Speedbird.

KittyVonCatsington · 10/11/2014 06:30

Oh Gin Sorry you are still suffering morning sickness-hopefully it will ease soon!

Thinking of you speedbird

And another week starts...

Titsalinabumsquash · 10/11/2014 06:34

Good morning. Smile

I hope everything is ok speedbird.

We had a whopper of a storm last night, poor DP has a stomach bug of some kind Sad so I'm not sure he'll be making it into work today.

I started knitting more little newborn hats last night, they told me at the hospital that one of the most important things to do should I unexpectedly give birth at hone is to get baby dry and warm on my chest (skin to skin) and pop a hat on to help stags like body temp and heartbeat/breathing.
They only take half hour to make and it's a good excuse to use up all my hundreds of balls of wool, I'm going to day any extras to the neonate unit at the hospital. Smile

tori - in answer to your question at the end of the last thread, you can join up to antenatal yoga now at 12 weeks if it is a relatively small group otherwise if a large group (10 or more) wait to 16 weeks as you won't get as much one to one help in large groups.
Although I've been doing regular Pilates weekly since finding out i was pregnant, I was dong regular Pilates before anyway so nothing is new. I think you will find it invigorating but not necessarily very relaxing as the exercises you will be doing will be helping you prepare to be strong for the labour Smile

Fluffeh · 10/11/2014 06:57

Morning!
Has anyone done or is considering doing hypnobirthing? I really want to give it a go as I think it will help if I can get the vbac I want.
Ideally I want to labour as much as possible at home and thought hypnobirthing might help keep me calm.

piglet81 · 10/11/2014 07:27

Morning all. Fourth thread already, wow!

Fluffeh, I'm looking into it - found a teacher near me who offers a free taster session so going to do that in Jan. Will get a book first to find out more.

Speedboats, I hope you're OK.

Hope everyone has a good start to the week. I've woken up tired and headachy and really don't fancy going to work! Flu jab first though.

Fell down the stairs yesterday morning, really damaged my wrist, but thankfully it's not broken. Jarred my back so badly that this morning I can't move my whole left side. Just very paranoid about baby after my mmc at 11w last November. They did no checks on baby but reassured that they are well protected at this stage... Going to ring midwife today and have thankfully got a scan on Thursday so will have to wait to get my mind at ease, just so frustrating.

mumxof3x · 10/11/2014 08:40

Marking my place :) thanks for new thread.

Speedbird sounds scary, I hope you are ok. X

Still have a sicky ds here bless him x

TheWildOnes · 10/11/2014 15:48

Marking my place on new thread.

Scan tomorrow at 2, had an early one at 8 weeks but so nervous about tomorrow plus looks like DH wont be able to come with me.

Jenni2legs · 10/11/2014 16:23

Hi All,
Had my Scan on Friday, put my EDD one day later 14th May - so c-section on 7th instead of 6th. I think that's good, the longer s/he has to cook the better :)

Hope your scans go well Speedbird and Wildones xx

Mslad · 10/11/2014 16:52

Goodluck with scans speedbird and Wildones. Glad yours went well Jenni

Is anybody still taking folic acid? I read somewhere that you stop after 12 weeks, I asked my mw who said I could stop taking it 'if I want' - which isn't very conclusive. any advice?
