I'm taking it in so far as its part of a pregnancy vitamin supplement. I think it's that you no longer 'need' it as the neural tube is complete so I wouldn't bother taking it alone but as part of a multi vit it's no problem carrying on

I'm doing the same as Pickle - thought I might as well carry on getting all the vitamins I could.

Mslad · 10/11/2014 17:27

Thanks for the advice ladies, I've been taking it as part of a pregnancy vitamin, and an single dose, so I'll stop taking the single dose now.

Snooky17 · 10/11/2014 17:34

Great question about folic acid I'm still taking mine but 13 weeks today so I guess I can stop now, I'm still taking 75mg asprin but need to get something other than pregnacare as they have a funny taste, and are gigantic! what is everyone else taking?

WigglyWigglyWoo · 10/11/2014 17:45

I've stopped taking the folic acid and I'm only taking vitamin D. Consultant advised that as long as o have a healthy diet I don't need any other supplement Smile

I'm having my first 'bad' day with my hips, they're in agony I've only done the shopping and cleaned the bathroom. Sad

It was only last week my physio said how much more strong and stable my joints seemed since last pregnancy and although the gap in my pelvis was already quite a bit bigger than normal, my core strength had really improved. Bugger! That is all.

Sorry to hear that speedbird make sure you get plenty of rest!

Good luck with your scan tomorrow Wild

Definitely reading up all about the different types of birth so I know what's what. Was leant a book on hypnobirthing and currently reading it. It is very expensive to do so don't want to spend the money on something I may not end up using but some of the relaxing techniques look good so will practise those!

I stopped taking Folic Acid two weeks ago MsLad (now 15+2) but is certainly still in my diet with cereal etc. I feel so rotten when taking Pregnacare/or similar due to the high doses of everything that I never took them as got fed up when TTC but have had separate vitamin D every few days (I am ensuring my diet is varied and still having to take Lactulose every day for the constipation)

Boo to the bad day some of you are having!

longestlurkerever · 10/11/2014 19:15

Hello everyone. Scan tomorrow - eek! Also have to skip breakfast as they want to measure my fasting glucose. Worried I will vomit on the bus as nausea is terrible when I am hungry. That said I have been feeling a but better the last few days (which I am obviously paranoid about. No pleasing me! ) thanks for the birth stories everyone.

Snooky17 · 10/11/2014 19:56

Good luck with your scan tomorrow Lurker x

CostaLotta · 10/11/2014 20:27

Oh no speedbird poor you, did you get to speak to your midwife?

Tori I did pregnancy yoga last time and they said to start at 16 weeks. Can't wait to start this time, I absolutely loved it. I used loads of the relaxation/ coping methods to stay at home as long as I did.

Ladies I have 3 words for you all to take very seriously. Pelvic. Floor. Exercises!

piglet81 · 10/11/2014 20:48

I'm doing them when I remember! (like now...) Bit sporadic though. Contemplated setting reminders on my phone or something but would be embarrassing if anyone saw it! Grin

BeanCalledPickle · 10/11/2014 21:05

If I had anything approaching a healthy diet I would skip the mahoosive tablets as well.

Unfortunately child is 95pc biscuit.

SmileyScooby · 10/11/2014 21:10

Marking my place, good luck to those with scans coming up!!

Sorry if this is tmi but am finding still need loo lots but sometimes even when at home need to assume the squatting position (like you do in grubby public loos hehe) to be able to empty bladder as if just sit on loo like normal barely anything comes out...anyone else finding this or just me?

KittyVonCatsington · 10/11/2014 22:00

Oh no Smiley! I am finding that when I suddenl need a wee, I need to so badly that when I 'go', my stomach muscles hurt a little Smile

2preteendramaqueens · 10/11/2014 22:23

Pelvic muscles gave way today when I was puking in the gutter Blush I didn't need a wee before but as soon as I started heaving that was it Blush I dare not tell anyone in rl especially my dds they would tell everyone they see but on here I know no one will judge as I'm sure it will happen to someone else in the next 6 months Wink

Sunshinesaz86 · 11/11/2014 07:39

Morning ladies, thanks for the new thread.

Has anyone else been experiencing sharp shooting/pulling pains? I had it a few times in the night and assume it's just all the stretching but can't help but worry as not had it before.

mumxof3x · 11/11/2014 07:54

Yes sunshine its normal, its ligament and stretching pain from the womb growing xx

Good luck with scan longest. X

I now have the sickness bug as does ds1 and ds3 still ayy deary me

baby5ontheway · 11/11/2014 09:22

I'm 14 + 5 and experiencing sudden dizziness, and it makes me walk funny and I feel like I'm going to fall, any ideas why this is happening.

Should mention I get a lot of headaches, vision is ok, just feel wobbly and unable to drive as I don't feel safe :(

mumxof3x · 11/11/2014 11:28

Baby5, I had similar with ds1 my vision would go black if It got real bad they said it was shift in bloodpressure. Headaches can be common in pregnancy as can feeling dizzy, but its also something you should get checked out aswell just tobe on the safe side. Defo speak to midwife/gp x

TheWildOnes · 11/11/2014 17:27

Back from scan, all looked fine, I'm 12 weeks tomorrow. Now to worry until the next one.

Mslad · 11/11/2014 17:32

Great news Wild You can relax for a while now Smile

mumxof3x · 11/11/2014 18:01
