Yeh change yet again, haha now 25th May! But DD was early and placenta was already deteriorating so they think I grow them quick - wouldn't be surprised if this one comes along a bit early too!

CostaLotta · 14/11/2014 15:47

Any news turquoise?

Titsalinabumsquash · 14/11/2014 15:52

I'm going to try and tackle the emptying of the freezer before the Christmas meat hamper arrives, we have ended up through various means with a hamper of organic meat being delivered that is big enough to feed us for a year! Confused I'm sending a lot of it to the homeless shelter and I've offered it to local a local mumsnetter via the secret Santa if they can match us up!

So I'm going to try and cook current freezer bits into meals to freeze in trays for the oven for when baby arrives. I'm trying to do all this stuff before I become completely immobile later on in the pregnancy.

I've knitted a tiny little hat today too, if it's not used I'll give a bunch to the scbu at the local hospital. I need a good excuse to work through my wool stash. Grin

Gah! No phone call so I rang them at 4 and the clinic has already closed so no results for me today. I was promised they would ring today. I'm trying to contact H to see if they rang him but he will be driving home now. Will keep you all updated xx

FeelingBlessed77 · 14/11/2014 17:33

Sorry to hear that turquoise. Hope they rang your h

longestlurkerever · 14/11/2014 17:45

Boo turquoise. Limbo is the worst. I still don't have my results from the blood test part of my combined test but they said they would ring if there were concerns so I am hoping by now that means I am in the low risk category.

Off out tonight with my nct group from the first time round. Will be nice to share this news.

Turquoisetamborine · 14/11/2014 17:47

They haven't rang H so we will wait til Monday now. Hope your results come soon too Longest and have a great night.

mumxof3x · 14/11/2014 20:03

Sorry you didnt get your call turquoise

Jazzy my date was put back 2 days at my scan last week tbh am not really concerned as I know they arnt accurate to the exact day, in my reckoning the max I think it could be out is by 1 day maximum as I only dtd once and putting it to how long uh hum sperm can live its slightly too long the date they given lol. Last one was 2wk early so hoping this baby will be kind like ds3 was...and not stubborn like ds1, I really dont want to be overdue on my birthday haha.

Kyz · 14/11/2014 20:30

Evening all :)

hope you have a nice weekend jazzy and hope your sister has a perfect day

I'm taking e to the fair tomorrow, it's been in town since wednesday but i've been so busy I haven't been able to take him yet. I don't know if he'll want to go on any rides or anything but he'll certainly enjoy the lights!

Jenni2legs · 14/11/2014 20:52

Had my letter through for my 20 week scan {18.12.14} and it's telling me to drink a pint of clear liquid an hour before. Specifying not tea, coffee or milk Hmm
The scan is at 8.30am so no cuppa, Sad . But I have never heard this rule before, and this is my third baby - and about 20th scan Confused
Anyone else heard this? Maybe I didn't ever read the whole letter before...

Scottishgal78 · 14/11/2014 21:35

Had my first scan today. Measuring 12+5 so EDD is now 24th May 2015. She took measurements but didn't give any indication as to what they show. I've seen people on here being told probabilities from measurements. Not sure if they do it differently up here in Scotland? Took bloods as well and said I'll get a letter within two weeks with my risk factor. Thought I'd be elated after scan but now just filled with more worry! Anyway attached my pic. Would love if anyone has any idea on gender!

Great scan pic Scottish

Sorry you didn't get your call turquoise how frustrating for u.

KittyVonCatsington · 16/11/2014 08:11

Turquoise I am very angry on your behalf! A shocking oversight and I am truly sorry that you are still waiting.

Welcome and congratulations smiley!

Scottish it's lovely seeing baby on screen isn't it! After my dating scan, I was given a printout of statistics re: measurements, we're you given anything like this? Maybe you will get it in the post with your blood results...

Saw reindeers in Covent Garden yesterday! Definitely getting into the spirit of the season already Smile What was surprising was getting breathless quite easily just simply walking and then sleeping on DH's shoulder on the Thames Clipper on the way home...at 5.30pm!!!

Pregnancy certainly has it's interesting quirks Wink

Another milestone...4 months today!!!!!!!!

KittyVonCatsington · 16/11/2014 08:17

Oh, I know what I was going to ask...Friday morning, I woke at about half 3 in the morning as my tummy was having a party.
Specifically, lots of "popping" going on.

Is this just wind or is it baby, experienced Mums to be?!?!

Justyouwaitandsee · 16/11/2014 08:55

Ooh I'm not experienced but 'popping' is one of the descriptions they give for first movements and a lot of people seem to report 3-4am as an active time, so it could well be Smile

Pregnancy app still keep saying that I should expect my appetite to increase, but at 17wks tomorrow I still can't seem to manage a full evening meal. I tend to have a normal breakfast, a big lunch (when at work at least) and then about a quarter to a half my usual sized portion for dinner. Anyone else having the same?

Scottishgal78 · 16/11/2014 09:28

Yeah Kitty was lovely to see! Think they do it differently up here. She wrote the measurements on a card I then had to hand over to get my blood taken. Think we're being overly worried (seems to be my new hobby). I remember the measurements and googled them (I know, I know) and I'm reassured everything is fine. Now on with the emotional business of telling everyone!

Just - I must be eating for you as well. I wolfed down a 2 person portion of macaroni last night! I find when I get hungry I an HUNGRY!

bradders85 · 16/11/2014 09:28

Morning ladies. kitty I have heard it described as that, obviously no experience to speak off here but last few days I've had a sort of pulling/tapping sensation on and off and was wondering if this was the start of noticing baby movement! 16+3. just I have been having a similar problem I do have my appetite, eating throughout the day and cook a lovely evening meal and want to eat it but can usually only manage half.....getting full quickly!!

KittyVonCatsington · 16/11/2014 09:54

I so hope it is tiny baby moving! It is so long between 12 week and 20 week scan I am just clinging onto anything that might tell me Baby is okay Grin

I too can't really finish a whole meal but do get hungry bradders and Just - think our stomachs might be slightly squished! Can't believe you are 17 weeks tomorrow Just Smile

longestlurkerever · 16/11/2014 10:37

Did anyone else's symptoms really ease off around 12 weeks? Feeling a lot better but freaking myself out that it means something is wrong and it is weeks till my next appointment.

Snooky17 · 16/11/2014 10:47

For me lurker they did , breasts hardly hurt at all have to give them a really big squish lol, feel much less tired in fact and def less nauseous, but I have a doppler and can hear heartbeat so do feel less scared.
