It is Hotsausages - Welcome :)

Hotsausages · 13/11/2014 17:04

Ooooohhh Smile well I'm 14+4 days. This will be my first. Had my scan two week ago and apparently we have a VERY active baby Smile had my sixteen week appointment on Tuesday (don't understand why I had it early) and the midwife said it's unlikely we will hear the heartbeat but we did straight away and very loudly! Best feeling ever Smile I must be very lucky as Iv had no sickness at all and only one week of feeling a bit rubbish, my skin is so so clear (always had acne previously) and I have the cutest little bump already Smile just sharing my pregnancy so far Grin

That's great news Feeling!

Welcome Hotsausages!

SmileyScooby · 13/11/2014 18:21

Welcome HotSausages!

Ive got another week and a bit until my 16wk appt. am hoping mw will try to listen for hb just for reassurance really as next scan seems ages away!

I haven't got any maternity trousers yet but bought next size up in ASDA of my normal cheap work ones so fingers crossed that wil be enough for the mo as my normal ones were feeling uncomfortable across the middle. Am 14+4 today and apart from bloating and constipation nothing else. Belly keeps making bubbly noises bit like if you have a drink of water on empty stomach etc dunno if that is good or bad?!

plinkyplonks · 13/11/2014 19:18

Uploaded latest scan photos to my profile page - let me know your gender predictions :D

plinkyplonks · 13/11/2014 19:20

Picked up baby's hb from 10 weeks :)

Turquoisetamborine · 13/11/2014 19:39

Hello if anyone remembers me? I'm now 14 weeks and get my NIFTY test results tomorrow after my poor odds from my nuchal scan. My odds of downs increased to 1 in 80 from 1 in 29 when I had a detailed anatomy scan but I'm very anxious to get my full results tomorrow. They test for downs, Edwards, turners and Pateaus so at least if it's clear I'll feel reassured for the rest of the pregnancy.
I've gone through a lot of ups and downs the last two weeks so I'll be glad it's over one way or another tomorrow.

I have a large bump now so I'll be absolutely heartbroken if this baby isn't healthy.

I've looked through this thread but not the last one so I hope everyone is doing well. How did your scan go Speedbird?

Turquoisetamborine · 13/11/2014 19:41

Oh and I also find out the sex tomorrow just to make up for the hell I've been through since my results!

piglet81 · 13/11/2014 20:15

Hi turquoise, I do hope you get good news tomorrow. Thinking of you.

CurlsLDN · 13/11/2014 20:51

Hi everyone, I'm peeking in around the door. My ds was born in may this year, and I sometimes have a peek at your threads to see where I was a year ago, if you see what I mean.

I wondered if it would be of interest to you to see what life might be like in a year's time? I can't believe you're in 2nd tri, seems like a million years ago now! Ds is six months old, he weighs 16lb and has two teeth. He rolls all over the place and I'm hoping he'll sit up any day now, most of his friends have been for a while.

We started baby led weaning a couple of weeks ago, today he has eaten porridge, apple slices, banana chunks, mozzarella and chilli (left over from our dinner last night!)

He has three naps a day, each between 30 - 90 mins, on a very predictable schedule. He goes to sleep at 6.45pm and wakes up at 7am.

Hmm not sure what else would be of interest to you at this stage! I can't believe that in a year you can go from hearing first heartbeats to the playful, giggly, full of personality little boy I have now.
Best of luck to you all, and I hope you don't mind me butting in!

longestlurkerever · 13/11/2014 21:02

Good luck tomorrow turquoise. Will be thinking of you and hoping all is well.

Thanks for stopping by curls. Thanks for your good wishes and congratulations on your lovely boy!

Thanks for the dress suggestions. I will check them all out.

Told dd about the baby today. Had to really as Dr said to her "I am just going to listen to the baby in mummy' s tummy" (though she then decided it was too early and she wouldn't try for fear of freaking me out) then a mum at nursery said "and there's a baby on the way?" nodding at my tummy (which the Dr agrees is all cake) so thought it was best to come clean though still nervous about something going wrong. She is not 100% chuffed and has christened it banana-head.

Mslad · 13/11/2014 21:18

Lovely post curls as a first timer its really interesting to read about whats ahead. you don't make it sound too terrifying Smile

Kyz · 13/11/2014 21:19

Evening all

that's a great result feeling :)

welcome hotsausages

hope you get good news tomorrow turquoise i'll be thinking of you :)

lovely of you to pop in curly and congrats on your little boy, my ds is 2 so it seems a long time since he was as you describe your little boy, but also, it's like it was yesterday. You just wait till his first birthday and you're looking back on pictures of those precious first moments you shared. I wondered if it'd just be his first birthday but my DS turned 2 a week ago and I did it again, I can't believe how much he has grown and changed.

lol longest banana head is a good a name as any, eh? :P

speedbird17 · 13/11/2014 23:06

Hi all, turquoise good luck tomorrow, everything crossed for you, you're in our prayers here.

Scan was so reassuring, we have a 12+2 bump, stretching, gulping and kicking away. I could not be happier! Feel extremely lucky after 2mmc to be where I am right now.

Turquoisetamborine · 14/11/2014 03:27

Thanks for the good wishes girls. Glad everything was good at the scan Speedbird.

Curls, thanks for popping in. I love updates like that. I can't wait for those days again.

I slept from 9.30 til 2 but too anxious and worked up now to sleep. I had an argument with a colleague yesterday so that's stressing me out too. He's basically a liar and tells enormous lies about everything from being jn the army to people he's had affairs with. He's been also told repeatedly not to bring his daughter into work and he brought her in yesterday as the boss was off so I texted the boss. I pay a fortune in childcare so why shouldn't he? It was a proper pregnancy rage!
I feel better for having written it down anyway. He's a weirdo and as long as I get good news today I don't care.

Going to read now, thankfully H is still working away in derby so I can have the light on x

Titsalinabumsquash · 14/11/2014 07:26

Good news Speedbird! Smile

Thanks Curls, I too have a 2 yr old DS (and an 8 and 10yr old too!) looking back at pictures always amazes me, getting out baby clothes from when they were all born makes me somewhat tearful that they're all so huge now! GrinBlush

DP made me a lovely risotto for dinner last night, it tasted divine, sadly it is now made my top spot (knocked salad to no2) for stuff I hate throwing up, I spent the night choking up regurgitated risotto and the acid it produced was unreal, my chest hurts now like my oesophagus has actually been burnt. Sad

I cannot wait for my next scan, I'm eligible to have a private gender scan from any day now but I'm being sensible and saving the money for other bits because I know it's only a couple of weeks until my 20 week nhs scan.
