Congratulations Royal what an amazing little girl! Wishing you and your family all the best!!

Blank re: dizziness I keep getting very light headed and dizzy so it's nice to hear it's ok! My nursery furniture arrived today I played the pregnancy card to the delivery men and they brought all 7 boxes up stairs for me Wink
Just hoping my OH ribs are well enough to start fixing it together! I'm too impatient to wait!

Memphisbelly · 29/10/2014 10:14

Littlemiss...... Play the pg card with dh too and remind him if this is what going out does to him and he can't function then he best stop going out once baby arrives Wink

A bit of a tmi coming up. The last 2 mornings I literally get no warning for needing the toilet (number 2) I have just had to run home to make it.....I am so scared I am going to actually crap my pants on the school run or something.....really hoping its baby lying on a nerve or something and it passes soon. Oh and maternity bras are not made for running in.

Today is my day of cleaning and im currently lying in my underwear in bed after my run I got a bit hot.....really need to strip beds, iron, clean kitchen but I have no mojo

freneticfox · 29/10/2014 10:15

Congrats herroyal - thinking of you and please keep up updated! x

Congratulations to you and your family, Royal. India Willow is a beautiful name. xx

Bangles thanks for the changing bag recommendation, I've spotted one I like :-)

Minichurch, I'm not an employment expert, but I believe all companies are meant to assume you're taking the year off, and if you want to return beforehand, you need to give them 8 weeks notice. I don't know if that means you can resign with 8 weeks notice too? I'm interested to find out, so hopefully someone on this thread knows more.

On our side, we've lost out on another flat, and getting very anxious about the move. DH grumpily said to me yesterday that he would be the one stuck with all the moving duties, and didn't want to do it while he was on paternity leave...

Wishing you all well, especially little India.

xx T

Almost halfway through my maternity pay qualifying week and I'm utterly shattered.

My sleep has gotten worse this week, I keep waking up with a snap - anyone else experiencing this?

Congratulations herroyal and i hope that India willow carries on being as strong as possible until you can take her home Smile

blankfornames · 29/10/2014 15:41

Congratulations HerRoyal. What a beautiful name! I hope your little girl gets stronger & stronger everyday so that you get to take her home before too long. Thinking of you.

Grinning, I'm relieved to hear that someone else on here is experiencing BH earlier than expected!

sandulacek · 29/10/2014 15:47

Mini I think it depends on your company. I work for NHS and can tell them now if I'm planning to return or not. However if I say now I'd return and then I don't I have to pay them back some money...I guess anything above SMP. There is the clause about 3 month return like someone else said. Best check with your HR/Payroll person. I had my meeting yesterday.

Memphisbelly · 29/10/2014 16:06

I have no idea how it works with maternity I know my friend had to go back for 9 months after to make it so she didn't have to pay back part of it.

Im so uncomfy today literally waddling and feel fit to pop, my belly is so tight I just don't know how it can grow anymore, my friends bump is so squishy and wobbly I cannot move mine in any way.

LittleMissSunshine33 · 29/10/2014 17:23

Thanks Memphis I will bring it up when the time is right ;) it's all about the timing! I'm the same regarding being almost caught short! It's like there's just no room in me for anything else!

Memphisbelly · 29/10/2014 18:51

Littlemiss thank you, glad I am not the only one. I feel the same, I have a drink and feel full then I go from full to starving in seconds and not needing to go loo to being busting in minutes too.....with about 12 weeks to go Iam wondering where things will fit (like thr tubs of Quality street and turkey the size of a toddler at xmas)

Surf25 · 29/10/2014 20:46

Wow, herroyal huge congratulations on the birth of India Willow. A beautiful name for your precious girl. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, and especially wee India. All the very best and keep us updated if you ever have a moment. Perhaps I should join the fbook group to keep up with the chat!

Sorry to hear that folk are having difficult times with work. I think that maty leave arrangements and agreements as to how long you would have to work for after leave in order to not have to pay back maternity pay above SMP vary between employers. I work for the NHS and it's three months, so if you resign in the interim and don't return then you have to pay back the money you received. I distinctly remember that being an incentive to go back the previous times, didn't have any of that money any more!

L1ttleMissGiggles · 30/10/2014 12:13

Morning All
Just a quickie, I've been getting mild headaches over the last few days, ones that sort of fade in and out throughout the day. I'm not overly concerned as they aren't generally bad enough that I would want to take pain killers but I just wondered if anyone else had experienced anything like this? I have 25 week MW app next week so will mention it to her then. Thanks in advance. x

freneticfox · 30/10/2014 12:18

L1ttleMiss I've been getting tension headaches a lot so far (nearly 25 weeks) and someone here recommended 4Head - it's a stick you rub on your forehead and temples (like a chap stick). I've found it really helps, along with drinking a LOT of fluid! Worth mentioning at your appointment though if you're worried :)

Anyone else finding their teeth are getting wrecked?! I've had to visit the dentist three times this past six weeks with another appointment next week to check up on a temporary filling! Argh!

BanglesSpangles · 30/10/2014 12:27

frenetic, i had a friend who said when she was pregnant she pulled half a tooth out on a chocolate eclair- they were just crumbling in her head!

I've had mega swollen gums, but nothing apart from that. Really really need to book to go to the dentists though, cos ive been woefully lax on my checkups, and will probably find that my whole jaw is rotting or something

amyandtom · 30/10/2014 12:46

L1ttlemiss I've been getting headaches too, mostly on an evening and first thing when I wake up

L1ttleMissGiggles · 30/10/2014 12:51

amyandtom I have been waking up with them too and find they are worse when I have driven the 45 minute journey home from work but give me 10 minutes and its eased off again. I wear glasses for driving and they aren't that old so I know its nothing to do with eye strain. x

L1ttleMissGiggles · 30/10/2014 13:11

freneticfox sorry I missed your post until I just came to have a look again. Thanks for the info - I will look into that and see if I can get some at the weekend. No problems with my teeth (touch wood) I do have itchy boobs tho, I think they might be growing again! Wish my bump would do the same, almost 25 weeks and still no definite baby bump, I just look like I've eaten too much! x

lawyeredout82 · 30/10/2014 13:22

Congratulations herroyal! Look forward to seeing the pictures on the facebook site.

It seems very surreal that someone now has a baby on the February forum! Hope ours stays put for a little while longer.... we still only own two items for the little princess, both purchased by my mum! I have a couple of items in my shopping basket from the White Company - just need to be brave and purchase now, then it will feel like it is all really happening!

It seems to have sunk in with everyone else on this forum who seem to be much further ahead than us!

hanflan · 30/10/2014 14:38

Hi just, just a quick but important one for those who have had babies before.... do contractions feel different to the stomach cramps you get when you have a bad tum?! I keep getting waves of really bad pain... I THINK it's a dodgy tum but now I'm worried!

JacktheLab · 30/10/2014 15:47

It's probably trapped wind Wink

I might try a Rennies tablet kind of thing but if you're really concerned speak to your midwife

hanflan · 30/10/2014 15:59

Haha I've had my fair share of trapped wind recently, this feels a lot different :( It's nearer the top of my stomach which makes me think it's actually stomach, not baby?! And it is starting to ease off thank goodness... will keep an eye on things though!

blankfornames · 30/10/2014 17:25

Hanflan, it does sound like stomach related issues. Baby related issues would be lower down I imagine. Hope you're feeling better soon.

So...the July '15 thread is up and chatty, our Feb babies are moving up the ranks!! Exciting but scary! Grin

Memphisbelly · 30/10/2014 18:07

Hanflan contractions for me felt like an increasing pain I describe as someone trying the pull your innards downwards then it goes away completely before next one.....nothing like the pains I get with trapped wind, belly ache, the trots.

Frenetic a lot of women suffer with their teeth during pregnancy my mum lost a tooth with every baby she had and had to have dentures! Shock Up your calcium not sure what else can be done....apart from get your veneers, white fillings while they are free!

Another manic day at work, dh locked me in the house! Taking my car and work keys so had to wait to be rescued then I was so busy all day my back is killing me, 6 more thursdays to go

donkir · 30/10/2014 19:35

Frenetic I had no teeth problems with my first but this time I've had bleeding gums and on Tuesday I cracked a tooth so off to dentist next weds. Making the most while it's free.
