9 days left until my 20 week scan. I'm getting excited to find out now too. I've felt baby move a lot more this week also. It is so nice and reassuring to feel the kicks. I think I have another wriggly one though. I was always a bit jealous of friends whose babies actually sat still.

Those are some great deals memphis. There is only one kiddicare store now isn't there? We bought our car seat at the closing down sale of a kiddicare store and the staff said they are going back to mostly online.

That's great to hear everything is still going well tonight. It's always good to hear how you are getting on. And I'm loving all the scan news. It's like another milestone we are all going through together (nearly my turn!).

I'm still feeling like I have forever to go tonight! Maybe once I get past the halfway mark it'll start to go faster.

MarchEliza · 27/09/2014 10:39

Got to wait til the 6th for my scan but I can't wait! So happy to see all the good news from everybody on here!

GeekyHybrid · 27/09/2014 10:48

Wonderfully lazy morning here :-D OH at work so I'm vaguely being domestic but also reading the paper, a backlog of mags etc...

hazzer - I haven't even considered hypnobirthing as I know I wouldn't get the required prep in, I'm such a last-minute person anyways and rubbish at doing regular 'chores'. It's only because I was reading that on the thread and thinking how pants I was that I remembered to do some pelvic floor exercises. I'm lucky if I remember once a day at the mo, though if I sneeze that is motivation enough!!

I'm waiting for 'bump' to move upwards too as sproglet is very keen on pressing down on my belly just above the pubic line, not very comfortable though I find some jumping around (and cursing) gets the little blighter to change position. This does however have lots of people telling me it's a boy (the low-laying theory) but we'll just wait and see. And even though I fell it moving about I can't wait until OH gets to feel the kicks, hopefully anytime now. Have a good weekend everyone and happy shopping for those indulging.

blankfornames · 27/09/2014 11:51

Thanks Memphis! Frenetic, I've also heard that a low bump signifies a boy, although I've only had two baby dreams so far & both have been girls in my dream!!

blankfornames · 27/09/2014 11:53

*sorry, Geeky, that bump point was to you, I had just been looking as Frenetic's photo..#babybrain!

GeekyHybrid · 27/09/2014 12:22

Thanks blank, that made me giggle. I've been having attacks of baby brain. Trying to remember all the latin plant names at work just hasn't ben happening. And the first time I exclaimed "it must be baby brain" my boss replied quickly with "and what's your excuse been for the last 4 years!". He is such a bitch. Luckily he's the type who a) I can say that to, b) just laughs and lines up the next insult. He does own 2 man-bags. Though not gay. The day we're all nice to each other is the day I get worried ;-)

LancashireTea · 27/09/2014 14:14

Well its official. St Albans is pants for maternity shopping. I know it had a Jojo but I've barely found anything I can afford or fit into (jojo is out on both counts). Argh!

blankfornames · 27/09/2014 14:30

Geeky, if I'm being honest re; baby brain...well yday I stopped off in a shop to pick up some bits, got back into my car, reached down for my sunnies & couldn't find then. I had gone quite a distant from the shop at this stage & wasn't going to trek back but was really bugged that I'd been so careless in losing them in the first place. After about a 5 minute internal rage, I put hand up to my face, and there they were, perched upon my nose Shock . Now I dare you to beat that!!

donkir · 27/09/2014 17:24

Littlemiss I've had exactly the same thing. Trapped wind is the most painful thing I've ever had. I'd suggest getting some windeeze tablets and keeping them in your handbag. Also some lactoluse if your straining a bit too much. Sounds quite normal to me everything is stretching.

JacktheLab · 27/09/2014 17:50

Blank,

My advice is to get more things in 0-3 than newborn, my ds was out of newborn stuff in maybe two or three weeks Shock

JacktheLab · 27/09/2014 17:55

Howdy all, having a fab time in London we went down to regents street where there are big screens and the two American football teams playing tomorrow and loads of fans was a really cool atmosphere Grin
Walked miles and miles th

JacktheLab · 27/09/2014 17:57

Argh! Stupid app!!

Miles and miles and my hips and feet are aching now!

Ds sounds like he's having a grand ti so all good Grin

LancashireTea · 27/09/2014 18:04

Preggers is playing out tonight. Wearing my new mat tights that I found in h&m. Love, love, love them.

LancashireTea · 27/09/2014 18:05

Glad you're enjoying London, Jack. I love the centre. Makes me giddy when I can be touristy.

Memphisbelly · 27/09/2014 18:08

You all sound like youare having great weekends, we have just been for an ice cream in the new ice cream parlour and i have come home and vommed and had runs for last hour!

I am in need of a maternity nightie nothing fits me my boobs pop out at night, jojo have none al all and they are so expensive. I hate sleeves though so may struggle

thingsarelookingup · 27/09/2014 19:46

Ooh sounds good lancashire. Where are you off to?

I am having quite a nice weekend too. It's hitting the right balance of recovering from a crazy busy week and getting out and about with DS.

I'm not quite sure if you can count this as baby brain or just a lack of talent but today a map I drew for 3 year old DS was mistaken for something he might have drawn himself! I wasn't exactly aiming for a masterpiece but they must know some seriously talented children. He still just scribbles when he draws.

BanglesSpangles · 27/09/2014 21:12

Aloo, having a ridiculously boring weekend, and its all self-inflicted- was meant to be at a hen do tonight, but just couldnt bring myself to get changed, put make up on and do an hour journey, to spend two hours in a cocktail bar before i turn around to get the last tube

Feeling ridiculously guilty for my laziness now

freneticfox · 27/09/2014 21:29

Long day catching up with my Mum and my in-laws, now curled up on the sofa wondering whether to be good and have an apple, or to start on the cake that's calling my name..

So far all the old wives' tales have been wrong for me... nub theory and skull theory both wrong (indicated girl at 12w scan), supposed to be more sick for a girl (I was really ill), and I have a boy!

I'm having to go to the loo a LOT more frequently over the last few days, guessing the little guy has found my bladder and is enjoying having a play!!

Memphis Thanks for the Kiddicare tips; will definitely see about popping in tomorrow or Monday :)

Hope everyone else is having a nice/restful/healthy weekend

Bangles don't feel guilty, I really have to push myself to socialise st the mo.
Frenetic that sounds like a lovely day!

Dh fancied a kebab so I said to get a pizza for me, still feeling dodgy so I took ages to pluck up courage to eat it and base was raw!

Stomach still off and baby isn'y helping kicking me in certain directions making me need to run to the toilet.
I lay on my back with my phone on my belly tonight and it was giggling sbout like a surfboard as he kicked away!

Talked baby names tonight and dh just has AWFUL taste! Grin I had a customer today who has a granson due on bonfire night and she said 'ugh I hope they don't call it Guy'......I really like Guy, funny how some people love certain names but hate others.

GeekyHybrid · 27/09/2014 21:58

blank - your escapade made me smile and feel so much better. At work I wear a baseball cap in summer and a few weeks back I radioed my boss as I was walking from the office to the garden to ask if I'd left my hat in the office as I didn't know where I'd left it. I realised a few minutes later that it was on my head. Doh. I think our babies have a lot to answer for! And I'm glad its not just me Wink

L1ttleMissGiggles · 28/09/2014 09:12

Morning Ladies. Just a quickie, Mothercare have sale on at the mo. Memphis, thought you might find a nighty. I just got some sleeveless pjs for £7 down from £26. Picked up a few other bits too. Be worth a look. Wink. X

suzimagoozi · 28/09/2014 11:01

Morning all. Went to an NCT Nearly New Sale yesterday. Was quite an eye opener, crammed with people (and I was third in line at the door before it opened!) but picked up over 25 items including gorgeous full snow suit and 2 winter coats, 3 pairs of shoes and 16 onesies all for under £40 so think I did ok. After insisting I wasn't going to buy much pink it's the colour of pretty much everything I bought! Worth it but I'm glad DH is away for work or he would have seriously curtained my 'throw it in the bag, I want it all' approach :)

Memphisbelly · 28/09/2014 17:07

Suzi what a haul! We have a nearly new sale the first Sat of every month here and its apparently all amazing stuff but I work saturdays so cant see me ever getting there!

I went to Morthercare today and got a nightie (£20 dh had to peel me from the floor) but it was the only one with any support! I also got a stripey top and a changing mat. Gradually ticking stuff off of my list

BanglesSpangles · 28/09/2014 18:26

Hey all, sounds like we're all in shopping mode then!

Went to mothercare with my sis yesterday and after a serious amount of dithering (no idea why- think i was scared to make a crap purchase!) i bought a pack of baby gros and a tshirt.

Comlemented today with the bedroom furniture (thankyoumothercaresale!) and, woohoo of woohoos, 2 packs of wet wipes in tescos!

Oh and picked up the new car- very very pleased with it- the boot is freaking huge!

BanglesSpangles · 28/09/2014 18:41

Aso, holy jingers, the june thread's started!!
