Herroyal I have never heard of that pain killer, i got some co codamol and the pharmacist said I look absolutely drained so said go and have some tablets and a nice warm lavender bath, its finally eased slightly but still there.

Having a chinese for tea as I feel too rough to cook.

Baby kicking loads tonight....round 2 of 3d scan tomorrow but not until 4pm!

Remember the clocks change tonight UK peeps.

Grinningcat · 25/10/2014 20:26

My friend who is 17weeks is going for the bugaboo chameleon. Looks like a good choice.

We need to choose between the maxi cosi cabriofix and pebble. Does anyone have any recommendations of one over the other? The cabriofix is cheaper and I can't see why we should choose the pebble over it, but we aren't compromising on safety so if the pebble is genuinely better then we will get it. My Dad has given us money to cover either one so its not about money. I just don't want to spend money for money's sake.

BanglesSpangles · 25/10/2014 20:35

Hey all, back from the baby show and utterly knackered!

We got our pram today too- Uppababy Vista. I ordered Ella green, then changed my mind and went back and changed it for black about 20 minutes later!

Then a LOT of wandering around westfield. Finally bought a more appropriately sized bra, so i can stop wearing my blatantly-too-small ones now!

Memphisbelly · 25/10/2014 20:49

Grinningcat As far as I know the pebble is no safer than the cabriofix it is just 'prettier' we got the cabriofix in a dark grey.

I have come to bed I just feel crap

BanglesSpangles · 25/10/2014 20:53

Ooh, and just reading back, memphis- pretty sure tylenol is an american brand name for paracetamol

Aaand grinning, my sister is going to be loaning us a pebble- from memory, i think they got it because of the car they had at the time, but i could be entirely wrong!

sandulacek · 25/10/2014 20:55

grinning according to which? the safety features are same, the only difference I can see is that pebble is not machine washable.

Memphisbelly · 25/10/2014 21:07

Ah thank you bangles meen popping those for days, i have been told by a friend she was prescribed migraleve and other stuff from docs so I will be going even itpf it passes so I have something in the cupboard

Memphisbelly · 25/10/2014 21:08

Ooh non machine washable would be a nightmare we had leaking poopanova nappies and sick in our carseat

Viperama · 25/10/2014 21:48

We are going for stokke xplory. Any one experience with the xplory? Parent facing and up high are what has attracted us (away from Central London traffic exhaust pipes!)

Just sold the very baby inappropriate two seater convertible. We live in zone 1-2 in London so have decided we'll focus on flat prep for baby and worry about car and car seat after baby is born.

freneticfox · 25/10/2014 21:59

Ooo pram talk! We got a Silver Cross 3D a few weeks ago, to be delivered in January. Fell in love with it in store and then after seeing its simplicity (it's a travel system) my Mum got it for us. As far as big purchases go though, it's the only thing we have.

24 weeks today and seem to have had a sudden growth spurt; I swear I can actually feel my stomach stretching?!

LittleMissSunshine33 · 25/10/2014 22:03

Frenetic me too I am 24+1 and feeling really round and solid now! Can feel the baby all over too rather than just on the right like before!
It's also really fidgety although I have been getting period like pains today but reading up it's quite normal at this stage with the growth spurts and movements. Don't think they are braxton hicks I imagine they are much worse???

jenmcspen · 25/10/2014 22:12

bangles we're getting the vista too, but still trying to decide on colour. is looking like the navy is the frontrunner at the moment Grin

Viperama · 25/10/2014 22:20

How about slings? Anyone have thoughts on those? I want one to use from newborn, like a kangaroo I want my bubba close :-)

donkir · 25/10/2014 22:42

Evening ladies, lots to catch up on. Everyone seems in good spirits even with headaches. My friend took migraleve in pregnancy.
Had a busy day here shopping and cleaning. Rounded off with family trip to dinner and to see TMNT.
Although didn't eat much at dinner as the guy on the next table had his shoes off. Put me right off my Chinese.

HerRoyalNotness · 25/10/2014 23:43

viper. I had the xplory back in 2007 for Ds1. I loved that pram I did. Love the new model with the different kits you can get and the fact that finally they have a buggy board with it. If remember emailing them in 2010 if they were going to make any doubles or boards, glad to see they have. I can't justify the cost this time so am going for the scoot as a compromise.

Memphisbelly · 26/10/2014 06:33

Donkir ugh what a tramp shoes off in a food place?

Viper I want a sling, spoke to a sling loan/library and they said to go once I have popped and then I won't have a bump to contend with when trying on. They do loaning for £5 a week or just a consultation where I try them all on and can buy one, I just don't want one of those stretchy ones that seem popular the baby looks unable to move to me,

I went to sleep very early last night and was up in agony loads, at 2 am I considered going hospital but I dont week well enough to drive and ds was fast asleep, dh has gone cycling but will be back in an hour or so so think I may go walk in center im in so much pain but trying to see past it/think positive.

donkir · 26/10/2014 07:31

Memphis he was perfectly dressed from the top. He came back from the buffet and I noticed he had no shoes or socks on. It was like eating next to the hobbit!
I hope you get something sorted for your pain today. Thanks

Memphisbelly · 26/10/2014 08:13

that is gross dh would leave he hates feet even baby feet!

BanglesSpangles · 26/10/2014 08:54

Oh the navy is nice, jen in fact, theres not a bad colour in the range imo

viper we looked at slings and carriers at the show yesterday- definitely considering it- DH quite fancied one as it seems like more of a hands-free option when youre out and about. No decision made yet though

Carrying an over-packed handbag for 12 hours has taken its toll on me- my soulder is totally buggered again and has gotten worse over night- can barely lift my arm- weird that all my recent aches and pains have been nothing to do with pregnancy, but i dont feel that i want to take anything stronger than paracetamol... DH keeps waving the tube of voltarol gel temptingly!

Memphisbelly · 26/10/2014 10:26

bangles the gel is ok until 28 weeks according to my doc (as long as its ibuorofen and not diclofenac)

BanglesSpangles · 26/10/2014 11:17

Ooh cool, think the voltarol is diclofenac (god i love that stuff) but i may have to go and invest in some ibuprofen gel. That said, it has got a little bit better for a bit of ice, a hot shower and a stretch

Memphisbelly · 26/10/2014 12:14

I have diclofenac in my hospital bag ready.....its the only thing that sorts my pain....and causes clotting suring pregnancy so its a nono.

Just waited 2 hours at a walk in center to be told I have a migraine and this late in pregnancy I cant take anything. i sobbed and sobbed and asked to be induced. Going to call mw and doc tomorrow for them to do something for me

freneticfox · 26/10/2014 12:16

Afternoon all, hope others enjoyed the extra hour in bed... my brain apparently got confused and woke me up extra early.

Having a bad day with pain in my hips, just hoping that I can get some answers this week. It's bloody miserable in this house.

OP posts:
Memphisbelly · 26/10/2014 12:22

Frenetic hope they sort you this week, this is the house of misery too

HerRoyalNotness · 26/10/2014 12:31

memphis. How awful for you, I hope they can recommend something to ease it

Looking forward to anothe visit from the family today. They're off to the movies, then lunch and visit to me. It's funny the little things we take for granted, all the films that I will miss with them. I was going to take DS1 to see the final Hobbit at the IMAX and DH actually planned a date to take me to see another movie there. Maybe if I'm doing well I can get a dr pass for a couple of hours.

Having a day without my cannula in my wrist, freedom! It was leaking a bit when the nurse flushed it. Now they need to find a good vein in my arm for tomorrow putting it back in. Not easy, my best ones are in the back of my hand, and I really don't want it in my right, dominant, hand.

Had 2nd steroid shot last night and I may get a third a little later on if it is warranted.
