I just showed my ds the belly moving and he crapped himself shouting 'no no no' dread what he will think when the belly full on shifts inches across my front in a few months Grin

blankfornames · 30/09/2014 22:24

Hanflan, a little girl to add to the mix! How wonderful! In some ways I'd love to find out but want the surprise also!
Geeky, that sounded like the pain I had the other day. Thanks so you all for the advice, luckily it went the following afternoon. I felt the baby was lying really low as it was rock hard where the pain was.
In other news, I had a parent in my school give a proper 2 hand belly rub to me today. I was flabbergasted! I don't mind people having a little feel, but this was border line dirty grope!!
TMI but anyone else's nipples gone massive & constant nipple erectus? Went for a swim last week, was mortified in the swimsuit, nearly took my own eyes out with them! God knows what they'll look like in another 20wks!! Shock

Memphisbelly · 30/09/2014 22:42

Blanks I have proper saucer nips....they are fat too like pyramids. I was horrified last time thinking they are huge, darker and gross and it was one of those things you couldn't ask people if it went back but mine did very quickly.

blankfornames · 30/09/2014 22:45

Oh thank Jeebuzz they return to normal again! I think they are even scaring DH, and he's a boobman!!

Memphisbelly · 30/09/2014 22:53

They really do go totally back to normal as does the furry belly and massive veins on your chest (if you also have those) dh loves my boobs but I am so grossed out by them he isn't allowed near them!

BanglesSpangles · 01/10/2014 07:54

Morning all, I noticed my nips were looking a bit mental this morning- all dark and massive. Really grim!

Spent an enjoyable evening at my mum's yesterday eating chips and perusing baby bedroom colour schemes online. She is very much of the 'aaahhh isn't that sweet in baby blue' camp, while I desperately try to steer towards anything that isn't cutesy. Dh isn't helping- he keeps finding cartoony wallpaper for me to veto- not my thing at all and I figure the baby won't care so I may as well get something I like!

Memphisbelly · 01/10/2014 08:01

Bangles I can't stand baby blue or cutesy either...a few ladies have brought me baby blue cardigains....thry will be worn under coats and stuff.
Im having a planket made for him in petrol blue and orange. Ordered cardis to be knitted in dark orange, greys and navy.

His bedroom is a mustard yellow (we painted it the week before I got a bfp but got some lovely prown fabric with mustard, orange and teal lion faces on. My theory is I love the colour and when he moves in with ds all I have to do is replace the blind to make it my grown up chill out room again

freneticfox · 01/10/2014 09:41

Relieved to hear that nips return to normal, mine are... different!!

I have a Q about movement... I'm feeling a kind of 'swishing' sensation (like when you've just had a large meal and your stomach starts digesting) but it's really low down, as in right above my pubic bone.

Is this still baby so low? I know the top of my uterus is around my belly button now, but I'm wondering where it's normal to feel movements if that makes sense?

Memphisbelly · 01/10/2014 09:56

Frenetic same here, baby is so low he kicks and my pubes move. Never had this last time so am mentioning it to the mw next week as it is so painful. Although I know she won't be able to do anything.
I hated it when baby kicked my belly button last time but right now I am hoping he will start kicking further up soon

freneticfox · 01/10/2014 10:18

I don't mind it if it's normal (well, for now!). Obviously as a first timer, everything is making me question its normalcy. Oh, to be less uptight!

Ticktick · 01/10/2014 10:39

I'm in the erect nipple club too. Rock hard and buzzing all through the day, very strange. Also iv had a crazy big heat rash appear all over both boobs. Think my bra might be too tight now so bra shopping AGAIN this weekend! Movements wise there is very little to speak of. I've had a strange tickling sensation just below belly button and at side a few times but nothing massive. Midwife told me i have anterior placenta so might be a while longer yet i get lots of feelings. Come on baby, make some moves! DH is desperate to feel it, he keep talking to my belly to get a response but its not biting, lol X

BanglesSpangles · 01/10/2014 11:31

oooh memphis- i am liking the idea of those colours! Im currently thinking grey, turquoise and orange, but im a fickle beast

Mummybangles is knitting blankets and cardis- I've put in a request for something in teal, and will ask her to make me an orange blanket (she hates orange, so will have to buy her the wool and plead!)

And frenetic, i don't think my guy has done any moving upwards yet- i still wake up of a morning with a rock hard lump in line with my pubic bone, that I assume is him curling up for a snooze down there and absolutely no movement anywhere near belly button-level. Consequently, I still look fat, not pregnant. Sigh

BanglesSpangles · 01/10/2014 11:45

also, memphis, are we basically the same person? :D

GeekyHybrid · 01/10/2014 12:40

Mine's definitely in the low club too. Seems to spend 95% of its time in the bottom 10% available. Daft blighter!

Grinningcat · 01/10/2014 12:48

Mine's still low as well although I'm looking more pregnant everyday. I woke up last night at 1am after what I'd swear was a swift kick to my bladder. Cue mad dash to the bathroom.

hanflan · 01/10/2014 12:55

frenetic it might just be the feet and legs that are low. During my scan they said baby was almost upright which explains why most of the prods and kicks I feel are very low! Apparently there are more nerves down there too so those are the ones you feel more. Don't worry about it :)

freneticfox · 01/10/2014 13:17

Phew.. long as it's a normal thing and not a bad sign, I think I can manage!

Back on full-time hours today after the long slog of phased return hours after hyperemesis.

It's only just lunch time and I'll already shattered. Ugh, long old journey.

suzimagoozi · 01/10/2014 13:26

After weeks of worrying about lack of movement or belly growth I caved and paid a visit to the mw. They wouldn't do anything except check heartbeat so had to pay for private scan to get reassurance. Cue trip across the road to 'Wellness Centre' and £170 later... all good (phew!)Grin Got some cute 3d pics but not looking forward to telling DH about the expense. He's due to fly home from work o/s today and will Skype soon. Justifiably, it was about 3am where he is when I had to decide whether to get the scan and was in tears in the mw's office as her manager said I couldn't get scanned there. Wish me luck!

Memphisbelly · 01/10/2014 14:04

Bangles I think we may well be the same person...once I pull my finger out of my ass and make the blind I will post a pic....and of the blanket when it gets made.
I sell wool at work if you like orange Stylecraft special double knit have released a new colour called spice...check it out online its a gorgeous colour....they also do 3 shades of grey and a fab teal and petrol blue colour.

I. Have just been to cuddle my friends new tiny baby......hormones a plenty there she made the cutest noise instead of a cry and I welled up. Curled up in the crook of my arm, I fed and winded her and she vommed on me...her mum apologised and I said no its good practice! Started the day feeling really low and sad now im all buzzing. I rang dh straight away and he said it won't be long until I get one to keep eeeeekkkk! Grin

BanglesSpangles · 01/10/2014 14:22

ooh awesome- thanks for the tip

BanglesSpangles · 01/10/2014 14:26

and suzi- fabulo news about the scan- sometimes i think you just have to go for these things- if worry can be monetised, you've definitely saved yourself £170 at least!

Bimberley · 01/10/2014 14:28

Oh god yes to dark huge nipples! Lovely!
They do go back which is good.
I had a kick so hard up earlier he must of hit my stomach! I felt instantly like I was about to throw up!

I agree re baby blue. We have a few blue things but mostly yellows and neutral colours.
Memphis we also have cardigans in them colours :)

freneticfox · 01/10/2014 15:21

Memphis I don't suppose you sell any Lion Brand yarn do you?

Seems the only place you can get it in this country is eBay or Deramores.

arseburgers! Bloody mothercare only do home delivery on furniture. Inevitably, the furniture came today and the lovely lovely helpful citylink driver knows that if there's nobody in, DH's parents' shop is at the end of the road, so he went down there.

Brilliant in a way, but DMiL and the van driver carried all eight boxes into my embarrassing shitheap of a house, which is currently covered in shoes, wet washing and dirty plates

The shame!!

Memphisbelly · 01/10/2014 16:09

Frenetic no sorry....none of my suppliers stock it either!

Bangles oh no its ok if MIL had noticed the mess she would have cleaned it for you Grin
