Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
MrsDinoRawr · 27/09/2014 13:34

My BH all seem to happen when I get up or move. Not had any real signs of labour.

Am heading in to be induced at 3!!!

Feel for the people who are overdue. I am only 38weeks and struggled to dust the house yesterday.

Kirstipops · 27/09/2014 13:36

Ooh Dino lots of luck to you, newborn cuddles for you soon! [Grin]

Kirstipops · 27/09/2014 13:38

Grin , even!

Missus2ndwife · 27/09/2014 14:09

Good luck MrsDino!! Wish my baby was coming but then I am only 35+4 so happy to bake a little longer

I don't think I've had too many BH - well not constantly more sporadically. I wonder if that will have any baring on my labour in weeks to come.

Had an awful night's sleep, waking a lot and today feel quite ill/ acidic, slugging on the gaviscon but it's not helping for long.

I have also bought the H&M feeding tops and a waterfall cardigan for post baby's arrival. Desperate for some new clothes but like everyone else, I don't want to buy more maternity style stuff.

Flamingo106 · 27/09/2014 14:09

Hi everyone, is anybody suffering bad reflux, heartburn and vomiting? I am 38 weeks and really struggling, even lost my appetite which is so unlike me

binkybunny · 27/09/2014 14:15

Good luck Dino! Think I've missed loads since I was in here yesterday but hope all babies and mummies are doing well.

I spent a small fortune on nursing tops and leggings in h&m yesterday, they had v limited sizing where I was though, going back this week to get a nice woolly dress or two.

So I thought my waters had broken while in Tesco this morning, felt quite damp and went to the loo and there was yellow on the pad I was wearing and a funny smell. Been having lots of cramps and bh too so called triage who sent me to the local hospital (not the mlu I have chosen to give birth in). Signage at the hospital was crap and ended up driving into the mortuary which completely freaked me out Shock

Anyway they checked the pad and did an internal examination and they think all is intact but I have to keep an eye on it as the examination is not always 100%.

The mw did say my cervix has a dimple and is starting to prepare to open up so possibly not long to go which excited and terrified me at the same time!

So I'm home and looking at the house work that needs doing but can't be bothered getting off the sofa. DH has gone out for lunch with friends and we have other friends coming round for dinner which I can no longer be arsed with, just want to slob out really Sad

YellowWellies · 27/09/2014 14:51

Lilla did another grey colour change / apnoea lets scare the shits and giggles out of Mummy and the nurses episode. Paed coming up to investigate. Guess what she reckons it is?

Yep.... I didn't have to say a word.....

.... Reflux.

Sigh at least this time I might not have to fight tooth and claw for a diagnosis. Hmm

YellowWellies · 27/09/2014 14:51

Binky wah to the dimple! Exciting!!!! Smile

gunwalloe · 27/09/2014 14:51

Good luck mrsdino

Do we have a postnatal thread yet?

gunwalloe · 27/09/2014 14:53

Yellow that's scary! The midwives said not to push my breast tissue away from babys nose but I cant help myself and do it without thinking

OP posts:
binkybunny · 27/09/2014 15:16

Aw Yellow hope she's ok, that sounds terrifying!

mrsb87 · 27/09/2014 15:33

Ooh binky that all sounds very promising! Hopefully not long to wait now then? I've had a lot of dischargy type stuff too and it can be misleading.
I've had a busy day of food shopping and various other errands and I'm shattered now. Seriously ready for a sleep.

fedupofrainydays · 27/09/2014 15:37

Oooh binky sounds close!!

Set up post natal thread here

LondonJen · 27/09/2014 15:39

Thinking of you Punky

Good luck Mrs!

Sorry Flamingo that sounds awful.

Oo binky could be soon.

Gosh Yellow heartattack central! So pleased for you that you are an experienced Mummy and therefore aware of these issues already, though sure that doesn't make it easier.

I've had those low bump periody sore cramps. They sometimes wake me up at night and make me wonder if they are contractions. But the few BH I have had have involved my entire bump going hard and tight but not really painful. The period ones are newer. The mw said I might get lower bump pain when baby tries to engage so I do wonder if that's what it is? No idea tho!

Well I had a slightly disappointing morning. My Birth Centre appointment was today. After my referral I had a call to say to come in and they'd take a copy of my notes and want to take Urine and Blood. When I got there though 10 other women were there with their partners. ?? Turned out to be a tour! Though they had my name and seemed to know who I was. I hung around at the end to ask about the blood etc and was told no, they don't do that. The mw was quite bewildered by what I'd been told to expect but thankfully I wasn't the only lady waiting afterwards to say they'd been told the same thing! So I really thought today was some big deal check of my low risk status to be okayed for the birth centre and in fact it was nothing of the sort! All very odd and felt a bit deflated at first, esp as dp would have come if had known it was a tour, but anyway, I am okay to head there for delivery as long as it happens before 42 weeks. Still bit put out though as my 38 week mw appointment was put back to 39 weeks since I was having this appointment today (at 38+3.) Anyway, sorry for the rant but it was a very odd morning and as you can imagine a point I had been hoping to reach since January!! I guess it doesn't really matter. Rant over!

I wonder how buggerlugs is doing?

Me23 · 27/09/2014 15:53

mrsdino wishing you all the best! Hope you have a smooth labour.

38 weeks today I have a feeling this one will be staying out until at least 40 weeks unlike her brother and sister. Nothing clinical to base it on just a feeling.

My Braxton hicks have been ramping up I get them a lot everyday, uterus goes very hard and they are sometimes mildly painful.

Have MIL coming tomorrow for OH bday so it would be convenient for childcare if I went into labour.

gunwalloe · 27/09/2014 16:21

Thanks fedup ive marked my spot on the PN thread :)

Goats has been quiet too?

Hmm more babies?

Lulu298 · 27/09/2014 17:45

So I bought some raspberry leaf tea today. Does anyone know how much you're supposed to drink from when?

fatpony · 27/09/2014 18:50

Good luck mrsdino!

binkybunny · 27/09/2014 18:57

Feeling a bit bad as cancelled our curry evening (still having curry but just two of us) I just don't feel well, can't really put my finger on it but cannot move off the sofa. Seem to also either be having bh or the baby is pushing and kicking and drilling into my pelvis!

STIGZ · 27/09/2014 19:08

Snap binky i cancelled indian buffet with friends & family ... I just could see it far enough! .,, i have rescheduled for when i can have a couple of wines with my dinner and i dont have a baby's head hovering over my ribs & feet kicking my lady garden Shock ...

mrsdino hope your induction is going well ?

binkybunny · 27/09/2014 19:25

Glad I'm not the only one feeling unsociable!

I'm having a Fosters Radler followed by a glass of non alcoholic wine, been dying for a glass of proper wine but DH isn't drinking now so I don't want to tempt him and the stuff from Waitrose isn't too bad.

Pregnantagain7 · 27/09/2014 19:42

Evening all, feeling very damp down there can't feel anything coming out but when I've been out and about today I have felt a bit of a dribble thought it was just wee (nice) but when I went to the loo before a definite sweet smell. Lay done for an hour and nothing when i stood up am I looking for non existent symptoms? Maybe it's just discharge? Or wee? Or sweat?

Oh I don't bloody know my waters have never gone on their own how will I know?

binkybunny · 27/09/2014 19:47

pregnant just give triage a call, I'm glad I did or I'd have just stressed all day! Best to get checked out and I now know things are getting ready down there Smile

Captainmcgraw · 27/09/2014 20:11

Good luck Dino!

Kirsti, no I've not noticed a similar pattern either but definite cluster/constant feeding all evening as Yellow was saying as well.

Anyone else post c-section are you finding yourself trying to stay incredibly serious the whole time as the tiniest chuckle is complete agony? I just started reading something funny on FB and had to stop as was so painful.

Going to pop over to postnatal thread now. Will still be back here constantly to see how everyone's doing though.
