Just Shagging 12th Thread for graduated viroids

FurryScoob · 16/09/2014 16:51

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 11th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 27th outing.

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal here once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a secret facebook group, if you want to join, ask in-thread.

So, roll call below please, viroids! smile

Hello viroids - quite a long gap in between JSing post and arriving here but I recognise a few of you - rpopz/zyla/minion... Hello again 26 weeks now where has the time gone?! Hope everyone is well cx

wilmabedrock · 05/10/2014 22:01

Aw Red, bless your grandma. Congratulations on a lovely girl!

I tried most of the tricks to bring on labour last time. Nothing worked. Although I have been told going for a run works Shock

You must have taken all the leopard print Popz. I bagged all the stripy stuff.

Does anyone know at what point their little bundle of joy decided to turn vertical? I think mine is still transverse and I'm so uncomfy.

wilmabedrock · 05/10/2014 22:07

Oh and the tea is rank.

RPopz · 05/10/2014 22:08

We're waiting til delivery yes Red Smile

I just wondered if I was supposed to register online or something Juni ...apparently the warranty doesn't have to start til the baby's due date or something?? Argh.

Ooh Asos has been my go to for stripes Wil. Leopard print and stripes is my preggo uniform haha Smile

27 weeks and babypopz seems to be jammed under my ribs all the time... not sure what way round though! Confused

Hi aubergine! I recognise your name. How's things? x

JuniDD · 05/10/2014 22:10

How far along are you wil? Get down on all fours and rock/do figure 8s with your butt as often as you can would be my advice. It might help! I got mine vertex in Glasgow after an uncomfortable Commonwealth Games session being kicked in the bladder! I was about 27/28 weeks.

If it gets much colder I am going to have a serious footwear problem til the birth. My feet are really puffed up so can only wear flip flops Shock

Hi aubergine & congrats.

wilmabedrock · 05/10/2014 22:25

Ugg style boots juni? Yeah I'm only about 25 weeks so plenty of time for repositioning. Don't remember this from last time though. Maybe it's just a bigger baby.

Hi Aubergine.

Has anybody found any long-sleeved tunics anywhere?

JuniDD · 05/10/2014 22:31

wil you're a marvel. I've got some boots in that style which were too big! Must find them. Perfect! Right, bedtime. Night all.

Nessalina · 05/10/2014 22:55

I've no idea what this little boy is doing in there Confused I was sure he was head down, but midwife has put doubt in my mind now... Looking forward to Tuesday's scan!
Getting a lot owchey fanjo sensations Blush I reckon he's quite low down! Plenty of room for food now anyway Grin
I'm off to bed too, night viroids!

ZylaB · 06/10/2014 03:54

Hey aubergine :)

Why am I awake at this time?? I'm bloody knackered, yet here I am, eyes pinged open and that's it! I'm so going to have to nap later.

Hope all of you who are uncomfortable get your little one in a position so you can sleep some.

laurenamium · 06/10/2014 07:33

Hi Aubergine Smile

I wrote a big post last night and it seems to have vanished! The gist of it was that I'm in a foul mood and DP has even shaved his beard off (which I hate) to try cheer me up. I'm going to throw myself into my work and force a cheery face for the kids Smile

Nessalina · 06/10/2014 07:33

I'm awake and I don't need to be! Confused
Baby has hiccups and it's weirding me out. It's like I baby relax because I'm waiting for the next one! And my hips hurt. Grump grump grump! Grin

Nessalina · 06/10/2014 07:33

'Baby relax'?! I meant can't relax!

Nessalina · 06/10/2014 07:49

I've made myself useful and started a new thread here Smile

wilmabedrock · 06/10/2014 08:06

Well done Ness. Hiccups are weird.

MiniWil is only just waking up. Amazing. Love an 8 o'clock lie in.

Hope you fell chirpier soon Lauren. One of the kids is bound to do something daft to cheer you up.

Pisghetti · 06/10/2014 09:47

Morning viroids. How come Mondays seem to come around so quickly yet the weeks tick by so slowly?

17 weeks today - according to my app the baby is the size of an onion. Last week it was an avocado and the week before a navel orange. Now in my local supermarket a navel orange is significantly larger than both the avocados and the onions. I'm imagining some sort of giant mutant onion floating around in there making a nice stock out of the amniotic fluid. I'm wondering if it is because the app is American - Red do you have big avocados? Sounds a rather personal question...

Fairly confident I felt a few 'pops' yesterday. Going to go for a little walk later (weather permitting) and then take a little time out to see if I get it again. Want to feel something more definite (and be sure it isn't just yet more gas) before getting too excited.

laurenamium · 06/10/2014 10:13

Grin At red having big avocados!

Was it pis saying about the mothercare orb? Did you find anything particularly damning? I love that pushchair and will be getting it eventually if there's nothing massively wrong with it Grin

Pisghetti · 06/10/2014 10:20

Yes it was me Lauren. I love the look of it and it is currently £275 down from £400 but the customer reviews on the Mothercare website, Which?, and Mumsnet seem to report the same recurring mechanical issues - sticking brakes and snapping chassis!

Nessalina · 06/10/2014 10:22

It's always worrying to see stuff like that with pushchairs... We really liked the look of the Cosatto Giggle until we read that there was issues with it collapsing while children were sat in it! Shock

Minion · 06/10/2014 10:35

Hi red, so good to hear from you! 21 weeks already! That's gone so fast. And a little girl!!! Bet you're over the moon!

Hi aubergine so glad you came on over! Hope you're feeling ok?

I've not had baby hiccups, im 'well jel'! I want to see it now! It's weird enough when your belly sort of undulates and rolls and you think they're turning over or something, but hiccups will be well mad eh!

Don't think this littkle squash likes mondays either pis, hardly any sort of wriggles today. Just a few to keep the scanxiety at bay!

Don't you have to start popping the raspberry leaf a month before due date? I'm so naive. Poor kids not got a chance with me.

Husband got his own way last night so we have packed the babies hospital bag. Whats everyone got in theirs? I feel ive missed something vital but I cant work out what it may be.
Help! So baby due mid december and weve packed:
3 x footed babygros( diff sizes just in case its a hobbit or the BFG)
3x vests short sleeved
3x vests longsleeved
5x socks (dont ask...so many)
1 x pair of booties (just in case)
1 x snowsuit (yes manchester is due a blizzard in december)
2 x bibs
Blanket to wrap little'un in (its the same as a certain prince georges blanket, gift from his nanna so we can pretend we are royalty as we step out- may hire a photographer for the occasion)
1x hat and scratch mitt set
1x outdoor wooly hat and glove mitt set
Nappies in tiny and extra tiny (far too cute- and scary)
2 x cardigans in 2 sizes
and babies first teddy.

So, what have I missed?

I've not had the foot in rib scenario, thankfully, as my friend says it was so painful so you have my sympathy xxx

Nessalina · 06/10/2014 10:38

Sounds like a good list Min! More than I was going to pack Blush I need to get my arse in gear and get ours packed!!

Nessalina · 06/10/2014 10:39

Oof. Baby feels like he's trying to make a break for freedom through my belly button! Confused He's really pushing up against the front of the bump!

Pisghetti · 06/10/2014 10:59

I'd throw a few more bibs or muslin squares in (I never came across a muslin square first time around but apparently they're invaluable for mopping up baby sick or protecting your clothing) as you can't have too many of them. Don't forget to take the car seat too - you don't need it in the room with you through labour but it is useful to have it in the car.

Have you packed your own bag or are you leaving that a little while?

laurenamium · 06/10/2014 11:17

Have you got nappies and cotton wool/ wipes in there min? The hospital like you to use cotton wool at first (or they did when I had DD) but I've noticed those water wipes so I think ill be getting some of those for at first to be a bit more practical for any poonamies

callipygian00 · 06/10/2014 11:45

Aaah all this talk of baby hiccups and packing bags is making me so excited! I'm only 5 and a half weeks though so I need to rein it in a bit!

Please tell me if you lot have been able to handle an Indian takeaway during pregnancy. I had one last night and the aftermath was not pretty. Seriously disgusting. Is this just a first trimester thing? Do I have a bug? Please don't tell me this is another thing I'm going to have avoid for another 8 months!

laurenamium · 06/10/2014 12:08

There wasn't much I could eat at first calli but I'm okay now (11 weeks) my sickness is only on a morning and evening or if I eat too much now too Grin
