Just Shagging 12th Thread for graduated viroids

FurryScoob · 16/09/2014 16:51

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 11th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 27th outing.

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal here once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a secret facebook group, if you want to join, ask in-thread.

So, roll call below please, viroids! smile

Outside work I wear long tops/tunics so maybe I'll just start wearing to work...or go and buy some longer tops for work PDQ! No dress code but do have meetings often with external contacts for which my out of work wardrobe would be too casual (they are usually suited and booted).

RPopz · 16/09/2014 21:47

Another vote for long/ floaty tops here. I found linen trousers are very forgiving on the expanding belly if it's not too chilly for them now!

couldbeanyone · 16/09/2014 21:49

Oh and Kato I think blanket and crisps is the way forward but maybe something better than Hollyoaks on tv WinkWinkWink sympathise though, it's tough in these early stages x

littleluna89 · 16/09/2014 22:09

I had to give in and get a new work skirt the weekend before last, I'm normally a 12 but the new one is 16, it just sits on my hips which makes it super long, but I figured it has growing room and as I get bigger it will sit higher, fully planing on starting mat leave as soon as possible so it only needs to last till the end of January(ish) outside of work I'm living in size 16 pj's unless I have to go out, luckily have some maternity clothes still in my drawer from last time, will add more once I've got an a-ok at scan.

Leela5 · 16/09/2014 22:10

Hugs kato!

Long floaty tops definitely!

I keep forgetting I'm pg coz no symptoms, then I remember and panic that I've forgotten to tell my family. Wtf!? Is this normal?

Keep having to count who knows on my fingers to remind myself only a few folk know. In my head though I've known for 2 weeks so keep forgetting I'm not meant to tell folk, then panic again that I've told folk.

I'm going mad!

wilmabedrock · 16/09/2014 22:11

Yeah I agree about Hollyoaks. Surely that just makes you feel worse?! Grin

What about a shift dress? They still look smart but aren't fitted. Quite a lot of looser clothing about at the moment. I managed to get a non-maternity dress for a wedding and I'm 5 months so obviously showing a fair bit.

Leela5 · 16/09/2014 22:12

Oh and one of my riding buddies is suspicious. I keep having to say I'm busy when she asks if I can exercise her horse. She knew I was ttc so keeps asking if I'm 'riding at the moment'

Leela5 · 16/09/2014 22:13

Can't believe some of yous are so far along - time has flown!

TabbyTurmoil · 16/09/2014 22:17

Hello you chatty bunch!

Tabby
35
10+4 with what we greatly hope will become DC1

And starting to look distinctly pregnant in the afternoon/evening (not that it gets me a seat on the train!) - it still mostly goes down by morning.

Leela5 · 16/09/2014 22:22

zyla can they tell sex quite early on sometimes? Saw you're having a girl but you are around 14 weeks?

wilmabedrock · 16/09/2014 22:44

If you get Harmony/nifty tests (is that what they're called?) then they show the sex la. Hi Tabby.

ZylaB · 17/09/2014 06:30

Hehe la 'are you riding at the moment?' Sorry, I'll get my mind out of the gutter! Yeah we had nifty test done and you can find out the gender as part of that :)

I will still ask at the 20 week scan though, just to be sure!

Pisghetti · 17/09/2014 07:29

Aww Kato the early days are rough. The later days can be hard too. makes mental note to embrace 2nd trimester Did you miss the feeling shit bit with your first or did you have the shit feeling without knowing why?

I found A-line skirts helpful for disguising my pot in the early days.

I'm still getting that feeling La just in reverse. I suddenly think oh why did I tell so-and-so I'm pregnant? Dur because you are you doughnut.

laurenamium · 17/09/2014 07:34

Sorry I'm late!

Name: laurenamium
Age: 26
DC: one beautiful and bossy DD (3) and one bean 8+1 weeks
EDD 28th April

I had my booking in day yesterday, all sorted and I'm low risk. Need to go to the hospital for a glucose thing though as my mum is diabetic. They've moved my EDD back a day too but that's okay it's only a day!

Me and DP have fell out. Over a cup cake... I don't even like cake! DD made them yesterday for my mums birthday, iced them and counted them- 1 each for all the guests. Even allocated them to the people. Had the will power not to eat them. We get in the car to go to the party and DP LICKS one. Queue DD in tears as that was for grandma that cake, me fuming and him now in a mood "because I get angry at the smallest things that normal people wouldn't bother about". So I wouldn't let him come to the party Grin

Off to read the thread...

Leela5 · 17/09/2014 07:35

Oh dear zyla time for some cape action methinks to calm that mind of yours! Grin

Leela5 · 17/09/2014 07:38

lauren you sound like me - I go off the rails for no bloody reason. Yesterday it was because dh and his pals got a taxidermy badger to out on the wall of their bar. A fucking badger!

Pisghetti · 17/09/2014 07:44

Why would you lick a cake? Why would you buy a dead badger?? And we viroids think we're the weirdos!

Leela5 · 17/09/2014 07:50

Did anyone less find pregnancy made them really regular at start? I have to go at around 7:45 every morning which is very odd. Tmi I know. My pg appears to be manifesting itself in unpleasant ways. I have the most ridiculous wind which is so uncomfortable sitting at desk so I go for a walk.

TabbyTurmoil · 17/09/2014 07:52

Pis is it strange telling people? It's been our secret for almost 6 weeks and scan is a week on Friday, not sure how I'm going to adjust when it's public knowledge (it will be massive gossip at work unfortunately as pregnancies always are).

could that's great news about your scan.

kato hope Hollyoaks (and the hair strokes) worked its magic and today is a be

TabbyTurmoil · 17/09/2014 07:53

Ugh phone. A better day.

TabbyTurmoil · 17/09/2014 07:55

Speaking of which, hope gaggia and her cursed phone are okay.

Minion · 17/09/2014 08:15

la yep! right there with you.
The first 2 weeks after finding out (so, uhh, 1 month pg I think) I had the crazy painful, trapped wind, couldn't go when I needed to and after much fybogel and peppermint tea it sorted itself out.
Now, I've gone the other way, sometimes go 2-3 times a day.

Well 28 weeks today. I actually get to start 'counting kicks' which sounds a lot more fun than it is.

Anyone have any goods tips for driving test nerves? It's not today, but soonish but am doing a lesson today and a mock soon.
I eat a banana just before which seems to help, but all tips appreciated..

Pisghetti · 17/09/2014 08:23

Min convince yourself you've failed as you leave the test centre and then you'll relax and drive well Smile worked for me (albeit accidentally)

Tabby yup it is strange having been super careful not to slip up or start putting your belly in public!

La yes I definitely had that in the early days! Seems to have gone back to normal now though.

laurenamium · 17/09/2014 08:35

Min I chatted to my test guy all the way round, and cried... Grin I was also having hour and a half lessons so the test was much shorter and I was shocked when we pulled back into the centre!
