I can't be the only one due in May 2015... So here goes, a shiny new thread.

I have to sneak in here to discuss all things pregnancy/baby related because this is a surprise DC5! Shhhh! Don't tell anyone!

Looks great! Thanks for organising Kitty

Justyouwaitandsee · 24/08/2014 22:59

Ps. I checked on the NHS calculator and think my EDD is definitely May 4th.

Eurgh! Feeling terrible Sad I'm starting to plan Christmas now in case I have an awful pregnancy (again). I was going to put off going to see the GP for a couple of weeks but I think that I might just get on with it in case I need medication for hyperemesis again. Some had a dream a few weeks ago that I had a surprise pregnancy and DC5 was actually DC5&6 Shock I'm not sure that I could cope with that!

OP posts:
Thefourcees · 25/08/2014 07:52

Aah sorry your not feeling great today Noroom, I do usually get mild nausea and thats bad enough I cant imagine how bad hyperemesis is.

I already planned this pregnancy with dc5 and 6 in mind as it happened to me last time and got 3 and 4, it was a big shock as they missed it on my 12 week scan there was just one bean, come the 20 week scan there was just a mass of arms and legs on the screen good job I was laying down I think I would've fell down in shock, and my first thought was we're not all going to fit in the car and if it was to happen again we wont all fit in the 7 seater we've got now.

Im undecided when to see midwives as I went quite early back in March and then lost it at 10 weeks so may hold off for a bit, but its nice to start getting everything in place.

NoRoomForALittleOne · 25/08/2014 07:56

We have an 8 seater car so not worried about that. Just a bit overwhelmed with being pregnant again with 4 young DC and the thought of looking after twins scares me!

OP posts:
KittyVonCatsington · 25/08/2014 08:27

How worrying for you NoRoom - I hope you won't need medication again. I've just booked online my first GP appointment to get a referral to the midwife services. Like you, just want to get on with it really and if I mc again, I want the GP to be able to record it if I need future medical assistance to successfully carry to term. Sorry it also happened to you Thefources quite late on as well you poor poor thing - words can't express... I'm still repeating to myself: Today I am Pregnant!

Loving the talk of twins - I know they bring a whole new set of challenges, but how special! Right now, I don't care how many babies I have, I just want to be a Mum Smile

Thefourcees · 25/08/2014 08:29

I know what you mean, I have a bit of an age gap now but when the twins were born I had a 1 year old and a 3 year old and the first two years just passed me in one big blur, I had four under four. They're 11, 9 and 8 now so this time would be really different Smile

Justyouwaitandsee · 25/08/2014 11:19

Morning everyone! Still feels strange, having no symptoms, but trying to tell myself that's a good thing!

bradders85 · 25/08/2014 16:59

Afternoon :-) I know what you mean justyouwait - still sinking in. I got myself some pregnancy vitamins the other day too. I am having some stomach cramps, like I did for up to a week before bfp - is that normal?

SuperDuperJezebel · 25/08/2014 19:24

Hi all, can I join in? Got a BFP today and EDD calc says 1 June so I'm not really in the May gang I spose! Completely in shock, getting married in less than 3 weeks and we planned to start trying on honeymoon, we haven't been very careful though and I guess it only takes one go! We are both v happy as we've been talking about it for quite a while, but all of a sudden I feel panicked. I am having a bit of cramping too Bradders, period was due 3 days ago and I have been having mild twinges for a week, so assumed it was due any time now. Really only tested to stop my imagination going into overdrive!

bradders85 · 25/08/2014 19:40

Congratulations Superduper! and good luck and congrats with the wedding! Guessing cramping must just be a thing! It's all about the unknown! xxx

SuperDuperJezebel · 25/08/2014 20:16

Congratulations to all of you too!

Justyouwaitandsee · 25/08/2014 20:21

Hi Superduper Congratulations!! Are you sure about your EDD? Surely it should be in May if you've only just found out? What date was the first day of your last period?

Seasiderunner · 25/08/2014 20:30

Hi, I tested today with a super drug early test. There is a faint line I think, my partner said he wants us to re-test tomorrow before getting excited.....I have already put the dates into the due date calculators haha. 6th May!

We had planned to keep it quiet until week 12 but a family meal before that will probably mean we tell our parents. They will wonder why I'm not drinking!

So hopefully tomorrow's test is clearer and no AF as due tomorrow

Justyouwaitandsee · 25/08/2014 20:57

Congrats Seaside! Welcome to the group! Smile

KittyVonCatsington · 25/08/2014 21:09

Welcome to the May gang Super and Seaside* and congratulations on your upcoming wedding seaside! Wow, what a month for you.

I too am not sure you mean 1 June Super, as i'm not sure that is possible yet, sorry to be patronising but did you put the right dates into a Due Date calculator?

I've been getting cramps and twinges as if AF will arrive any minute and even worse for my paranoia, lots and lots of creamy cm. Keep being scared it's the start of a bleed Blush Suppose I need to relax more!

KittyVonCatsington · 25/08/2014 21:14

Oh, and being a long term TTC-er, a great tip on the not drinking front is to order an alcoholic drink at the start of the evening and a glass of tap water. If DH is there, get him to sneakily drink from yours-no one will notice. Otherwise, keep pretending to take a drink but making eye contact with your friends/family. When you go to the loo, pour it down the sink or something and then get another non-alcoholic drink. Works every time as no one suspects or asks questions. By ordering an alcoholic drink, their radars are switched off!

KittyVonCatsington · 25/08/2014 21:16

Sorry Seaside, got you mixed up with Super -congrats on your wedding Super!

SuperDuperJezebel · 25/08/2014 21:27

You're right, I put the wrong month into the due date calendar... 1st of May! Great tip Kitty, I am wondering how I'm going to keep it hidden at the wedding! Thinking of drinking soda but in a short glass with lime so it looks like a g&t? Or even just tonic on its own! God this has put the kibosh on so many of my boozing plans in the next few weeks!

KittyVonCatsington · 25/08/2014 21:44

Weddings are even better Super get the bar staff to make up non-alcoholic cocktails for you if not at the dinner (soda and lime sounds good too) and at the reception dinner, let them pour you a glass of red wine but also keep topping up your water and drink that. No one will notice an untouched wine glass on a table full of glasses and wine bottles Grin

And a May Day baby sounds awesome!

fififolle · 25/08/2014 22:03

Hi Kitty!
I'm hopping over from the August bus as I hit my BFP on a CB digital this morning!
This will be #DC for us, we have a 4 year old DS.
I took my a Mirena out at the end of May, had June for cycle to normalise, tried in July then used CB OPK this month.
As other posters, I have mega sore boobs and occasional nausea. I had a feeling that something might be happening this weekend when a sip of wine at a family get together tasted like vinegar.
Ut seems a long way off but EDD 5th May.

bradders85 · 25/08/2014 22:16

congratulations fifi. and super I know what you mean, I've got a few social things coming up including my zumba night out on the 13th. I've thought about having a quiet word with bar staff and getting them to give me coke in a short glass with ice and stirrer making it look like vodka coke, I hope!!

fififolle · 25/08/2014 22:46

Thank you Bradders. I've been drinking 'Virgin G&Ts' this weekend! If you just have a drink in hand, you can explain it as anything with a mixer, no one will taste it! Alternatively, Becks Blue non alcoholic or saying that you're on antibiotics and can't drink. Have a great night out,

KittyVonCatsington · 25/08/2014 22:47

Welcome Fifi! Good to see you here Smile I second your mega sore boobs! Struggling with normal bras and only wearing my one sports bra at the mo. I don't mind it though. Let’s me know something is there Grin
