I can't be the only one due in May 2015... So here goes, a shiny new thread.

I have to sneak in here to discuss all things pregnancy/baby related because this is a surprise DC5! Shhhh! Don't tell anyone!

OP posts:

I hate early pregnancy, cramps uterus, runny bowels, nausea and a runny nose are all on the cards.

At the moment I'm only experiencing cramping and loose bowels.

Joy! Hmm

Arendsmummy · 28/08/2014 18:28

Evening ladies still no major symptoms! Only bloating I'm hoping it's just that this pregnancy is different i wake up every morning hoping for sore boobs but nothing! I'm thinking of getting a private scan also what's the best gestation to have it? (4+5 ATM)

Sarahg1 · 28/08/2014 18:35

Oh am I not the only one with bowel issues? I had no idea that was a thing. What I had on sun and tues was definitely more violent than I think normal preg related issues should be but last week and today I've just been a bit... loose. And gassy though that seems to be calming down a bit.

Though the calming down of bowel and nipple issues has disconcerted me to the point I've just purchased 2 frer and 2 cb digis just to make sure. Which is more than I ever used when ttc. Ridiculous!

KittyVonCatsington · 28/08/2014 19:35

Crazy isn't it?! AF type cramps mixed with waves of nausea and sore boobs is confusing me! DH is away on a school DofE trip so panicking on my own Blush Need. To. Relax.

KittyVonCatsington · 28/08/2014 21:17

Goodness! After all that cramping today, I just had a weird icy sensation and now my abdomen feels hard from within, especially on the right side. Very strange and normal I hope

Justyouwaitandsee · 28/08/2014 21:55

Hi all, and congrats to all the new joiners SmileFlowers. I'm still feeling fairly normal, although do have sensitive gums as someone mentioned above and still weeing a fair bit. Am forcing myself to eat breakfast, which is something I never do...

bumpitybumpbump · 28/08/2014 22:49

Don't worry no sore boobs or nips here either. I didn't get that until a bit later (and boy did I then know about it in the freezer aisle at the supermarket....Confused). No upset tummy either but plenty of bloating!! [Gives baby [bloat] a stroke].

Sarahg1 · 29/08/2014 05:17

Oh yeah I forgot about the weeing, I've been peeing like a tap for a couple of weeks now, I'm not so bad during the day but if I wake up in the night that's me started for a good few hours approx every 3 seconds (or so it feels. hence being on mn at 5 am. ..)

and OMG the bloat! I'm 4+2 and look massive and my jeans already don't fit despite weighing a couple of pounds less than I did a couple of weeks ago. Is it just water retention? It surely can't be anything more this early on??

KittyVonCatsington · 29/08/2014 06:22

Maybe it is the increased blood flow causing the bloating?
Yeah, weeing, Grrr! Hate the early morning wake up now and I can never get back to sleep after getting up for a wee!

My boobs just feel like the are permanently on fire-4+6 today. Can anyone else feel their heartbeat/pulse in their abdomen, like blood pumping?

CurlsLDN · 29/08/2014 06:54

Hello and congratulations everyone! I'm not pg, but just wanted to poke my head in as I can't believe there's a may thread already! I was on this year's one, and am currently lying in bed with 4 month old ds1 giggling on my lap and babbling at the cat. Best of luck to you all, and eat dry crackers and ginger biscuits!

KittyVonCatsington · 29/08/2014 07:07

Thanks Curls! Well done on your DS-a 4 month old-how wonderful! The May bus is obviously the best Wink

ElisaGirl · 29/08/2014 07:22

Ugh, yes the bloating. Saw my friend last night who is 17 wks & she looked amazing, hardly any bump - I look more pg than she does. Apart from bloat & constant weeing, I'm fine but have had some weird night insomnia that has me awake for hours and hours the last 2 wks. Figured it was stress of moving abroad but maybe not?

Sarahg1 · 29/08/2014 08:16

I've not been sleeping brilliantly either, I'm never an amazing sleeper but I'm so exhausted I thought it'd improve. Had a dream the other night that I had a miscarriage and had to be rushed to hospital on my sun lounger (there were no hospital beds) so I think that's playing on my mind!

When do you reckon all the worrying stops and we can just enjoy this?!

KittyVonCatsington · 29/08/2014 08:19

When we can feel kicking?! Something tells me we'll never stop worrying Grin

justjodie92 · 29/08/2014 08:23

Hi.

Please can I join? I got my BFP this morning, am still shaking as I write this!

It's been a long journey to get here - 20 months of TTC and 2 rounds of IVF but the BFP is finally here!

My EDD is the 4th/5th of May.

I hope everyone in this thread is okay today, and feeling happy.

PS is anyone else a bit scared of something going wrong??

bradders85 · 29/08/2014 08:25

morning ladies! elisagirl- I haven't been sleeping at all well, woke up at 3:45 today and lay awake for hours!! this has happened a few times now, think it's hormone related! I've also been quite windy! apart from that nothing else to report yet!! Smile

bradders85 · 29/08/2014 08:25

congratulations justjodie! Grin

Justyouwaitandsee · 29/08/2014 08:28

Hi justjodie! Congratulations!! That's brilliant news! Flowers Yes, I can definitely relate to shaking when taking the test and seeing a positive result! And yes to feeling anxious too (as you will see from our posts above!)
Especially as several of us don't have many symptoms yet, it all seems a bit unreal! How are you feeling so far?!

Seasiderunner · 29/08/2014 08:38

Congratulations justjodie (and everyone else!). I am worried too, don't know what to expect and stupidly reading about chances of this and that Confused. Just hoping all is ok.
We are going on a long haul holiday for 3 weeks in oct, so will try to get the first can before then! I'm not sure the worrying will stop from now on... Very tired too!

Ididntseeitsoitdidnthappen · 29/08/2014 09:01

Congratulations to the newcomers! For those of you in your first pregnancy I can say that the worrying only increases after the pregnancy and increases as the child gets older.

At the moment I'm scared of a 10 year age gap between DC1 and this one!!

KittyVonCatsington · 29/08/2014 09:07

Congratulations jodie Especially after your journey-so deserved. Thanks

I had a bad day yesterday thinking I was miscarrying due to AF pains and seeing a bit of blood during a bowel movement. Don't think I have though as no more bleeding since then (Dr Google said that blood during a bowel movement is natural and due to straining) and feel sick as a dog today inc fiery boobs Grin I so understand the fear-we just have to take it one day at a time for now.

I've been waking up between 4-5am for the past week needing a wee and being wide awake after that bradders Smile

vics341 · 29/08/2014 09:57

Hi everyone! Due 2nd May too. First baby. Very happy but at the same time anxious. Getting to sleep seems to be an issue and cramping type pains. Is this all normal? Congrats to everyone due in May! What a great time to have a Spring baby!!

Sarahg1 · 29/08/2014 10:13

Ah congrats justjodie.

Yep absolutely terrified and scared to believe it yet but we have to be positive and just have faith that this is meant to be.

How's everyone else doing?

fififolle · 29/08/2014 10:22

Justjodie huge congratulations! What fantastic news, welcome to the group.
I think we're all terrified of something going wrong which is why this is the best place to do discuss any worries, however small you may think they are x

fififolle · 29/08/2014 10:25

Hi Vics congratulations, welcome to the group! I'd say the getting to sleep problem is linked to the anxiety- I find that counting weeks in my head helps me to drop off. Lots of people seem to have cramps pains, it sounds like your body is busy adjusting x
