Morning all, great news on all the scans and welcome kitten.

Were you surprised to be pushed forward foscar I know I was expecting to go the other way!

Feeling sick again this morning, nearly lost breakfast in the shower. I just want to stop feeling sick and start to glow.

mad the photos are 3 quid for paper copy and 5 quid for photo. They asked how many copies we wanted which I don't remember from last time. They don't take card, and although there is a cash machine on site it's miles away, so take cash (I never carry cash lol). We were there for over an hour, but that's cos baby was being naughty, they are pretty good - the first ever scan we had the sonographer was a bit of a cow but everyone else has always been lovely :)

Can feel my hands getting weaker, this is much earlier than last time :( and the coughing! :( I sound like I smoke 40/day!

Morning all, sorry didn't get round to updating last night.
Scan went well (after a false start where they couldn't really see anything as i hadn't drunk enough and accidentally went to the loo an hour before).
Was sent out for a bit and then had to do lots of jiggling as baby had face pointing away from us then switched to bum in the air lol

Spot on for dates so due date as I thought 28/02. Will try and
Post scan pic later but my phone has run of battery

Congrats to zyla and foscar on your scans (and the probably ten people I've forgotten with my sieve brain)

Didn't really how anxious I had been until I realise how good I feel today Smile

Morning!! Great news zyla, that's exciting to know the sex so early.
I'm going to try and hold out and not find out this time as I already have a dd and a ds (found out with both of them) and I really like the idea of a surprise, must stay strong!
As for telling the children, mine are 23 months and wouldn't really understand until I have a massive bump and my dd is just 3, I will definitely wait until after 12 week scan (I'm 8+2) and then just see when feel right after then. She's going to be so excited though she keeps asking when we will have another baby and what we will call it ect! Weirdly she says she wants another brother!
I've told my work, but there wasn't really much to worry about, this is my 3rd maternity and I'm now in a very part time junior role so no issues really. I remember the nervousness the first time though!
And to join in the convo on maternity trousers! I'm already wearing my comfy over the bump ones!! With a tight ish vest so they aren't too baggy, I'm much more comfy now, but my tummy seems to have a memory and I have a ridiculous bump for 8+2!
Enjoying all your scan news! Mine still isn't for aaaaaaaaages!!!

I wear a bump Band and I love it. It means I can still fit in my skinny jeans and not be uncomfy. I could probably just about do them up bit would be so uncomfy I couldn't stand it. So bump band it is. And for work trousers. In fact, I wear it with everything. I can not fit in any old clothes at all really. At least I now have more of an excuse for being so big with me being 13 weeks! Strangers I meet (like the ladies in clothes shops - I'm not stopping randomers to tell them just yet) all say they can't see a bump, but trust me, it's there and massive!!

butterpuff yes I was very surprised. And not quite sure how it worked. I got married on 7th June and we didn't start trying until after the wedding. So must have happened pretty quick. Or baby is just long.

My friend has had 4 scans all 1 week apart. Last week she was measuring 11+. This week they have dated her as 13 weeks. It's pretty much an impossibility for her, but baby is long

Like you Foscar I wear a belly band so I can still wear my skinny jeans. I've had to buy some maternity leggings though as my belly has definitely got a lot bigger and can't do any of my jeans/trousers up...I definitely can't put that down to too much food as I lost half a stone due to morning sickness!

My Nublet - am thinking it's a girl based on my 5 minutes of research into nub theory - think if it's horizontal it means a girl (of course I know it's not fact).

Morning all. Just back from scan and pleased to say wr saw a very healthy looking baba measuring 12+3 stretching and waving at us Smile Lovely strong heartbeat and positive nuchal fold measurement. The sonagrapher was lovely and spent ages showing us legs, feet arms etc We were there for 30 mins as she was struggling to get yhe measurements. I had to shuffle a bit then half empty my bladder (difgicult to judge) but we got there in the end and we got 5 free photos. Edd has come forward slightly to 2nd March

My boss at work already knows as needed time of for midwife and scan. I am going to hold of telling colleagues until I get downs results. We will tell family but hold of telling DD. She is 3.5 and it seems like a long time away for her right now.

I used a pregnancy band all through for work trousers and had no issues. The hair thing never worked for me. I will send DH up the loft to dig out maternity clothes at the weekend

Morning all.

Congrats to all who had good scan experiences yesterday and well done Holly for getting your hands on 5 free photos!

Welcome kitten - your EDD is the same as mine! Grin

I forgot to say when I had my booking appointment yesterday I got my letter with my scan appointment on and it said that pictures are £5 each - I'm sure that's gone up since last time! In fact that means that Holly has potentially saved herself £25 there!!

One thing that has definitely changed is that the machine now apparently takes card payments, whereas last time it was cash only, and the exact change at that.

I'm thinking I might need to tell work before my scan. I only work part time so in theory should arrange all medical appointments for the afternoon but obviously you get what you're given with the scan appointment so feel like I have to justify being late in that day.

I got my maternity jeans and bigger work trousers down from the loft the other day and washed them yesterday - I can't avoid it any longer! Shock

keeper scan pics were supposed to be £5 each at my hospital but apparently the machine (which you get your tokens from) wasn't working so they just gave me 3 for free!

Hi All,

Been lurking around in the background for a while until our scan to make sure all was well, and thankfully it was! Amazing feeling after a missed MC earlier in the year and finally feel like I can start to really believe I'll be with an actual baby in my arms in March.
Looking forward to going through the next 6 month with you guy.

EDD 2nd march

Hey every one, so exciting to see scan pics and hear news. Feeling a little better I'm on some anti sickness pills. They knock me out and make me all delirious but I haven't been sick all day so are working. Yay. My mum's had to come and stay to help again as I'm out of it most the time thank god I don't work or I'd be missing loads of time.

Welcome to the newbies. X
