Just Shagging - Thread 11 for Graduated Viroids!

JuniDD · 17/08/2014 06:27

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 11th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 27th outing.

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal here once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a secret facebook group, if you want to join, ask in-thread.

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

Haha, very well put Zyla Grin

Glad telling them went well La - I won't defend Mr La cos Mr Popz would also be wearing that cocktail by now Wink but I guess these early days are difficult for them. We feel so different so quickly but just look the same to them! One small glass of wine would be ok anyway Wink

Early night Wil? xx

RPopz · 10/09/2014 21:25

Oooh I'm sounding very wise and sage today Smile Just pretend this is my twelvtieth pregnancy Wink

wilmabedrock · 10/09/2014 21:51

Total funk and annoyingly still awake. Hehe popz, you'll be writing essays like me next Wink .

I need to stop reading fb. This referendum stuff is driving me batshit crazy.

littleluna89 · 10/09/2014 21:57

On the idea that easy pregnancy = long labour I'm perhaps a special case, but I had an easy peasy pregnancy (until she stopped growing, don't run a store from underneath your manager and deputy manager and plan a wedding whilst pregnant ladies, pretty sure it was the stress that did for the growth) they gave me a couple of steroid injections over two days then I had a pessary and within 13 hours ( I think, can't remember what time they gave it to me, will dig out my diary) had a baby, precipitate labour Viroids! That's the way to go (but try to avoid the whole post partum haemorage thing, that's less fun)

I spent most of early labour on Facebook whining to some of my friends about the fact that i'd missed an event in London due to being trapped in the hospitL after I'd done everything in my power to ensure I'd be able to go... And I ate a lot of gingsers sandwiches. I didn't let my birthing partners leave me in the room alone, DH when to my mums to sleep then when she called him to come back in she went and slept in the car park (in the campervan) and for the most part they did a better job of bullying the midwives into listening to me than I did as I wasn't progressing despite being in a fair amount of pain.

I can't remember who was organising the due date list was it ness? I'm down as march 13th and I'm actually April 13th (until I have my scan)

Nessalina · 10/09/2014 22:37

No 1 for me! :)

KatoPotato · 10/09/2014 23:48

DS = didn't even know I was pregnant for 5months, easy pg - just carpal tunnel syndrome in the final weeks. Breech. Section, was walking about next day.

This time I bet I'm a riot!

Leela5 · 11/09/2014 00:12

Going to kill Mr La. He drank like a fish and had to put himself to bed early first night at lovely villa. Came in to find he had both pillows, was in star shape across bed and snoring like a hippo. Now digging out my earplugs so I can sleep. Bloody men!

Grrrr...

minimooo · 11/09/2014 06:04

Morning! Hope you got some sleep last night la

For the stats I'm due 29th April and this is DC1

I'm picking up the anti sickness meds today - can't come soon enough!

wilmabedrock · 11/09/2014 06:09

Hope you feel better soon Mini.

La would he drink less if you asked him to? Because I'm guessing 9 months of this could get pretty annoying.

Leela5 · 11/09/2014 06:57

Aww mini hopefully they help you - doesn't sound like fun.

He's been so good wil recently, I think perhaps this was a lapse. He'd not eaten much, going to have stern word tho! Grin

laurenamium · 11/09/2014 07:39

The sickness has started Confused I thought I got away with it too!

Pisghetti · 11/09/2014 08:31

DC 2 for me.

Hope the meds help Mini and you're not feeling too rough Lauren

DS told his dad and paternal GPs last night. I think they were all a bit surprised! His GD phoned me this morning to see how I was, suggested the risk assessment my work were doing was to check the chair could hold my weight and tutted about us not being married. Standard.

FurryScoob · 11/09/2014 08:32

Hope you feel better soon mini & lauren

This is DC 1 for me & 95% sure a DD

Didn't buy a lot yesterday, got a footmuff for the car seat & nappy wrapper bin thing in a sale. I did start christmas shopping, never been this organised but don't think I'll want to spend hours crimbo shopping with a new baby!

JuniDD · 11/09/2014 08:35

Morning all, glad you had a good scan rpopz and welcome back from hols.

Sorry about the drunkeness la, did you get a good night in the end? I'd've whipped those pillows out from under him, not like he'd notice, eh?

I've half solved the problem of the hip/back. I just shouldn't sit on the sofa...Hmm or lie down... The next few weeks are going to be hella fun, eh? Already been up for two hours and knackered (am on mat leave!) but scared to lie down in case it's too painful. Midwife tomorrow to see if they have any suggestions (unlikely...meh).

Hope you're more cheerful today wil, am feeling a bit glum. Though I did have a dream that MrJuni had to wake me up as I'd had the baby. His name was Thomas, he weighed 9lb8oz and I went to work the next day. Didn't see the baby before I woke up...WEIRD.

wilmabedrock · 11/09/2014 08:36

Oh God Pis, did you manage to bite your tongue?

Pisghetti · 11/09/2014 08:42

It's not entirely unusual Wil - if you complain then you have no sense of humour. I'm sure when I'm bigger and grumpy we'll probably end up having a big shouty fight - at least he's not my FIL nowadays :-)

Hope the midwife has a suggestion that helps Juni, that doesn't sound like fun.

RPopz · 11/09/2014 10:38

La - I hope you booted him out of that bed! Not like he'd notice haha.

Sorry about the sickies Sad

Have you got any physio Juni?

Carpet fitters are coming today to do the spare room... which means all DH's crap can go back up there now and we can start on the nursery! Grin

RPopz · 11/09/2014 10:39

Pis - My boss made that same joke when I had my second trimester risk assessments... Hmm

cookielove · 11/09/2014 10:54

Awww thanks ness

wil I had two of the risk factors for gd, diabetes in the family and my bmi. I was given two gtt tests one 13 weeks then at 28 weeks.

Leela5 · 11/09/2014 11:15

furry love idea of a foot muff! A fooff?

pis Shock at gp - bit cheeky! Hope you came back with a killer response at least in your head an hour later

juni that sounds sore - hope they can do something to help.

Out of interest do any if you live in rented house? We moved south for work and our own house in Scotland is let out. We rent at moment as we don't want to buy as we plan to move home eventually. I'm bit sad as if always wanted the fun of decorating nursery. I've heard though you can buy peel off stickers etc?

What's gd?

RPopz · 11/09/2014 11:49

Gestational diabetes La

You could always just paint the nursery? Easy enough to paint back magnolia when you move on. I think most landlords don't mind you redecorating as long as you put it back to how it was when you move out. Especially if you're a long term tenant. I'd Def ask Smile

Pisghetti · 11/09/2014 13:15

La I was in a rented house when I had DS. The landlord was happy for us to decorate the nursery (well actually we decorated the whole house - the rent was mega cheap and no deposit to worry about...) as he planned building works after we moved out anyway. It is definitely worth asking the question (and getting an answer in writing)

JuniDD · 11/09/2014 14:41

A few of my friends have done really nice nurseries with the stickers.

Just fell asleep doing my natal hypnotherapy CD and it really helped ease my back (go figure) so that was nice. Probably not ideal to fall asleep but it's very relaxing and I woke up feeling a lot more positive Smile

No physio or anything, this has come on very suddenly. I also feel very puffed up and my feet are a bit swollen so getting v nervous about what the midwife may find tomorrow...wish me luck.
