Just Shagging - Thread 11 for Graduated Viroids!

JuniDD · 17/08/2014 06:27

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 11th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 27th outing.

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal here once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a secret facebook group, if you want to join, ask in-thread.

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

I've been sick twice. I'd probably have been sick more if I wasn't pregnant (mind you I haven't had my scan yet...)

RPopz · 29/08/2014 22:31

I felt basically fine until about 6 or 7 weeks before nausea and fatigue hit with full force!! Really irritating thing to say I know but... make the most of it Wink

wilmabedrock · 29/08/2014 23:03

I've never thrown up. Although frequently still feel nauseous.

You know how they always compare the foetus to different fruits depending on gestation? They really should do it with breasts too. I've definitely reached watermelon stage. I am hoping I don't get to honeydew.

ZylaB · 29/08/2014 23:18

Lol wil :)

RPopz · 29/08/2014 23:25

Haha...I'm starting to think I should get some new bras. I'm still cramming them in my old ones... Confused Tbh I'm more disturbed by my nipples alately, definitely got the burger Barb look going on now!! Shock Sad

Nessalina · 29/08/2014 23:56

Bleurgh! Just woken myself up by vomiting a wee bit in my mouth Confused Killer indigestion!!! Awful.
God Wil, I am so with you. Mine are watermelons right now. And the nipples could cut glass! Shock
I made the mistake of looking under my bump with a mirror coz my skin's been v.itchy this week, and the stretch marks are even worse than I thought! It looks like there's been an angry tiger in my pants Confused

Pisghetti · 30/08/2014 01:06

Aw Ness - we had a mirror behind the bath taps when I was having DS so I couldn't avoid seeing mine. I actually preferred them just after birth to how I do now - they looked like some bad ass fire tattoo.

Definitely identifying with the melon boobs and permanently happy nips. Not looking forward to the aubergine stage after bf. I doubt they'll recover as much as they did when I was 21 so I'm making the most of them!

ZylaB · 30/08/2014 06:29

My nips aren't permanently happy, they're just massive!! So much so I commented on them to DH the other day lol!

wilmabedrock · 30/08/2014 07:47

My nipples are MrWil's favourite topic of conversation. Haha Pis aubergine stage. How much do boob jobs cost?! Get the bio oil slathered on Ness. (I really should take my own advice).

I wish someone would create a law allowing pg women to stay in bed all day.

couldbeanyone · 30/08/2014 08:46

Argh I have sore boobs and nipples, nausea, tiredness and massive stomach (bloating I'm sure, unless there's an entire football team in there ShockWink) and only just into week 6...according to my dates which might not be quite right due to irregular periods since stopping the pill.

JuniDD · 30/08/2014 09:07

The massive boobs/nipples gets me down from time to time. MrJuni has to reassure me they'll go back!

Sounds like you're definitely pg to me could!

My breastfeeding book has a cartoon saying "they're not stretchmarks, they're flames of creativity!" which I quite liked. I'm up to three different creams a day for various body parts, get on it girls!

Had my whooping cough jab on Thursday - first injection I'd had for some time, in spite of the millions of blood draws over the years. It's been a bit sore but ok. The nurse was shocked I knew what it was for. I actually said I wouldn't book an injection if I didn't know what was in it! Shock

Sounds perfectly sensible to me Juni! Think I'll have to have one soon... Sad

Aah how could I forget the sore boobs! And constantly man handling them to check they were still sore haha!

wilmabedrock · 30/08/2014 11:18

Haha Juni, I never have a clue what injections me or MiniWil are going for. Generally just turn up and assume they're not going to inject me with anything unnecessary. So she's probably used to people like me.

JuniDD · 30/08/2014 11:42

Ha wil! Maybe it's my family then. My dad was deeply suspicious and asking me if I had researched it all etc.

I would like to do something today but MrJuni appears glued to work... sigh.

'Flames of creativity' I like it!
I also have watermelon boobs & getting scared how floppy their gonna be after bf.
Had our first NCT antenatal class last week, thought it was gonna be a bit hippy but its great, even DP enjoyed it.

Redshoes56 · 30/08/2014 17:27

So...16 weeks in I am finally feeling excited and (somewhat) less anxious. Hoping I can join in after an extended absence? I've missed you ladies and everyone seems to be doing so well :)

cookie I posted on the JS thread, but here's another congratulations on your little man. So very exciting!

To make it official:

Name: Redshoes56
Age: 35
DC's: Number 1 on the way
EDD: 14 February!

JuniDD · 30/08/2014 17:41

Wonderful to have you here red!! Massive congrats and welcoming hugs xxxx

Thank you, juni! Feeling really good :)

wilmabedrock · 30/08/2014 18:11

Hi Red! Welcome. How's work, is it still crazily busy?

I read on MN that it's not bf which makes your boobs sag, it's just being pregnant in general. I'm not sure how true that is. Mine aren't too bad after number 1, but I've heard everything goes downhill after number 2!

Loads of ligament pain today, really not comfortable. Scan on Monday!

wilmabedrock · 30/08/2014 18:13

Oh also juni, my mum is really sceptical about medicine so is like your Dad. I'm probably just far too laid back about things. She used to take me to the doctor for the slightest thing when I was younger so now I avoid them unless I have to go.

Pisghetti · 30/08/2014 18:36

Are you going to find out what you're having Wil?

wilmabedrock · 30/08/2014 18:41

No it'll be a surprise. Although if it isn't a boy I'll eat my hat.

Minion · 30/08/2014 18:44

Yay red welcome and so good to hear from you. We've all been thinking lots about you. Are you ok with it all etc?

ZylaB · 30/08/2014 19:00

Hey red good to hear from you! Glad the scan was good :)

I'm officially due 6th march but they won't let me go full term so I could well be only a couple of weeks after you! :)

Redshoes56 · 30/08/2014 19:16

Yep, wil, work is still ridiculous -- I'm choosing to do the best I can when I'm there, and learning to let go when I'm not. My boss is still around as we haven't not yet hired a replacement. She was expected to be fully retired by now! Half the time she's totally checked out, the other half she's hyper-focused on nonsense. I decided not to throw my hat in the ring for the position, partly because of the baby but mostly because I realized I just don't want the responsibility right now. Maybe in a few years.

Min just a few more months for you exciting! I have felt pretty good physically all throughout a little queasy but never sick. I had some random spotting/bleeding in June and July, which was diagnosed as a subchorionic hematoma (it has since cleared itself up completely, phew). I just had to really take it easy for awhile, and I guess I kept waiting for something else to go wrong! So emotionally, it was rough for awhile. I am finally starting to relax and enjoy the ride.

Honestly, everything has been textbook minus the hematoma. Had a great ultrasound at 12 weeks that showed off little kidneys and brain, and the little guy/gal was moving about. Last weekend we finally shared the news more widely with extended family and more friends and colleagues, so now it feels real!
