Hi everyone, so pleased to hear of all the good scan news 2-1 to team blue now then with 2 firmly in team yellow I make it! I have been following but have had lots of problems logging on so unable to post anything - all sorted now. Great news about DH too penguin. I have to say if it were me I would take any tests offered that had no chance of harming baby.

Even with anterior placenta I've been feeling lots of movement this week which is reassuring. Struggling quite a lot with the heat and sticking to the shade as much as possible which is not at all like me usually!

Can anyone post a link to our stats page? Haven't updated it for ages!

CoventGarden75 · 18/07/2014 19:14

waves at ftn

here's the link stats

happy weekend to all

MrsFtn · 18/07/2014 22:17

Much obliged covent I even had to update my age as it was my birthday last Sunday!

Happy almost weekend everyone - hope all those in the UK have managed to keep cool today!

basgetti · 18/07/2014 22:36

Hi all, just popping in to say hello, hope everyone is surviving the heat!

Glad your DH has been given the all clear penguin. I also agree with cakes about the scan, I would definitely take them up on the offer. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I started on a new medication yesterday, it's working really well so far. I was able to enjoy a bit of bbq this evening and have managed to keep well hydrated in this weather. I'm just taking each day as it comes but today has been a good one! Hope everyone is doing well x

FranksBobot · 19/07/2014 13:37

Fantastic news Penguin must be such a relief for you both. I can't really comment on the extra scans etc, as you know i've turned down all testing this pregnancy so not sure where i would stand in your position.

Basgetti So pleased new meds seem to be working. Very jealous at BBQ I quite fancy one now but we have got major storm over head so don't think DP would be impressed.

Midwife appointment went well, she seemed nice enough. I've been have a lot of nasty pain near to the location of my c-section scar so she had a good feel and it appears mini franks has decided that its rather comfy there and so is pushing on the scar tissue. Add that on top of the normal stretching pains and it is rather unpleasant.

Well check me out - it's way past midnight and I've just got home from a hen do. I made it right to the end without falling asleep Grin With all these storms and heat I've hardly slept for 2 nights so I wasn't sure I was going to make it. Didn't even mind being the only one sober tbh. Just wanted to share my achievement with you all Grin

Hope this medication is going to keep working for you basgetti you deserve to get rid of the sickness once and for all with all you've been through

Penguin13 · 20/07/2014 12:23

Thanks for your advice everyone. Yes, very relieved that H is okay.

High five Mrs! Sounds like a great night out. I'm impressed with your stamina.

Ouch Franks that doesn't sound like fun. Hope baby decides to wriggle to see new favourite position soon and give you a break!

Basgetti brilliant news that the new meds are working for you so far, really hope it continues.

FranksBobot · 20/07/2014 15:22

Well done you Mrs ! I'm impressed if I am still awake at 9:30pm at the minute.

We had a major storm last night with torrential rain. So from 3:30am until 5am I was squished into a single bed with DD who was petrified bless her. DP on the other hand slept all the way through it!

Hope everyone is having a lovely sunday

PresidentSpreadable · 21/07/2014 07:21

Scan at 9am. Absolutely petrified, have managed to convince myself that there is something wrong as I'm not really feeling anything movement wise except the odd twinge.

I thought I was over the worst of the anxiety but clearly not. Argh.

CakesALot · 21/07/2014 08:31

Good luck today president! Totally normal to feel anxious and I'm sure you'll be told not to worry about the lack of movement, it'll come. Not long to wait now Smile

CoventGarden75 · 21/07/2014 08:44

Good luck president thinking of you

Penguin13 · 21/07/2014 08:54

Thinking of you today President. I don't think you'd be human if you weren't a bit anxious. Good luck!

FranksBobot · 21/07/2014 09:11

Good luck president. It's still quite early for lots of movement, I'm sure in a few more weeks you'll be desperate for 5 mins of no elbows/feet whacking your insides!!
Also agree with penguin. You would not be human if you weren't anxious.

Good luck President, hope it went well. My scan is two weeks today...joining the impatiently waiting gang!

Basgetti I am so glad to hear your meds are working, that must be the most wonderful relief!

I am just starting to feel the odd movement...18.2 today Smile

basgetti · 21/07/2014 09:46

Good luck President!

Thanks all, not vomited since Thursday, yippee!

Our household is currently preoccupied by DS' first wobbly tooth, exciting stuff. We are getting daily running commentary on how loose it is, along with lots of angst about how the tooth fairy will know where we live. Very funny.

18+1 today.

PresidentSpreadable · 21/07/2014 11:41

All absolutely fine! Measuring perfectly, placenta looks good and is high and posterier. Baby happily contorting itself into crazy yoga positions and opening and closing it's mouth like a little pacman. Wonderful stuff. I feel like a weight's been lifted.

I briefly saw something that may have been a penis, then I briefly saw some lines that may have been a fanjo, so absolutely no bloody idea unless it's a hermaphrodite.

Wobbly teeth are very exciting when you're the right age for them aren't they basgetti! Our friend's daughter's notes to the tooth fairy read like ransom demands and are highly entertaining.

basgetti · 21/07/2014 11:56

Lovely news President! Glad you got to see lots of movement and are feeling more reassured now.

I'm full of admiration for all of you who are waiting for a surprise re the gender, I would love to do the same but I know when it comes to my scan I will give in and find out!

Yes ransom demands sounds about right, according to my sister the going rate is now about £2 per tooth, it was 20p in my day!

CoventGarden75 · 21/07/2014 12:37

Woohoo!!! Well done president
Who's next this week? Mine is not before Friday.

basgetti so pleased the new meds are working for you.

ftn belated happy birthday.

Wearing trainers and I managed to fall twice walking in the street in 4 days. So clumsy...

Also anyone else hyper sensitive to noise. Helicopters are hovering outside our windows every weekend for hours, it's driving me mad.

FranksBobot · 21/07/2014 12:39

Yay fab news President so pleased all was well and you are firmly in team yellow! I did have to giggle at the hermaphrodite comment.

Basgetti in this house the tooth fairy gave £2 for the first tooth and then it's 50p for every tooth after. She was very silly and forgot to visit once so did leave a nice shiny pound coin to make up for being so forgetful.

basgetti, my favourite tooth fairy note was written when she was on holiday in Ireland, it included the line '...euros is fine'. Heh.

I am dying to know the sex, MrPres even offered to leave the room, but I feel very strongly that we are in this together and I cannot (and probably wouldn't be able to) have such a huge secret between us. Oh well. For the moment I thought it was a boy I didn't feel gutted, so I guess I will be overjoyed whatever we have.

Oh and happy belated birthday Mrsftn, I'm impressed at your late night at the weekend, I had to cry off a hen party on Saturday, just too hot, tired, and sober!

Penguin13 · 21/07/2014 13:29

Woo team yellow. Go team! Brilliant news that everything was looking good President.

Fab that the new meds are continuing to work Basgetti, it must be wonderful to finally get some respite.

Loving the tooth fairy tales especially the 'euros is fine'. It was 20p for me too when I were a lass Grin.

Covent it must be your centre of gravity shifting. Hope you haven't hurt yourself falling over!

MrsFtn · 21/07/2014 13:54

Congrats on the successful scan president I'm so pleased for you. Well done for staying strong in the team yellow corner. I agree that there's no way I could keep it a secret from DH if I was the only one to find out - especially as I have started to buy little boy things now Smile

I must confess I went to bed at 8pm last night! I was glad I did though when DD got up at 5:30 this morning!

CakesALot · 21/07/2014 14:07

Great news President! And fab that you're feeling better Basgetti! Long may the positivity continue!

StrawbsAndCream · 21/07/2014 16:06

Penguin great news wrt to mr penguin! You must he relieved.

So pleased for you president and well done on not finding out even through you wanted too, you have good willpower! Lovely news, I hope it makes you less anxious (for a few days atleast!) i don't think it's ever left me!!

Im so glad you're feeling better finally basgetti long may it continue!

covent it must be the trainers! Hope you didn't hurt yourself! P.s did anyone see you? (I'm one of those people who find people falling over the funniest thing in the entire world, as long as they're not hurt, obviously Wink )

Finally got my scan date through for this Friday, I hope the week goes quickly! My mum and H are going to both come, but if only 1 person is allowed in then H said my mum can come in as she hasn't seen one yet. Hope they both can though!

Hope everyone's having a good Monday. I'm doing something very rare.. Lying on my bed doing nothing enjoying the view from our window! Living in the middle of nowhere has it's perks! (I hope the pic works!) but also got a really bad cold and blocked nose, boo!

Strawbs, what a gorgeous view! If I were you I'd move off the bed and into the garden with a big glass of something cold and icey! I'm just starting to miss alcohol now with all this sunny weather. Would love a crisp cold glass of white wine!

I gave in a bought a v-pillow this week and it's making such a difference! My legs and hips were getting achey and crampy in bed, but I'm getting through the whole night without a niggle at the moment apart from the obligatory bladder issues. It was just from Tesco, nothing special, but it's good quality and I think it'll come in handy for BFing when the time comes.

Hope everyone is keeping well!
