calling who are you on facebook? I must say the facebook group is covering all post natal areas really well, don't you think?

CallingAllEngels · 06/01/2015 21:57

I'm on the pinned post shanels.

I'm finding it depressing at the moment because almost everyone has their babies so feel very disconnected from the group. Feel like I don't belong Sad

Shanels · 07/01/2015 01:03

That's understandable calling
U just focus on distracting yourself through the day with things that you enjoy. I know it's sad but I started doing jigsaws and watching unusual films etc to help me stay sane. Don't repky to people who keep hassling you; I lost my temper with some good friendsvwhej they kept asking if there was any sign yet. Take care of you and baby. You're almost there.

Gah I just wrote a long post and my phone ate it Angry. Sorry I've been a bit rubbish at posting - it's been a pretty intense 3 and a half weeks - but I think of you often.

Congratulations Covent on the birth of beautiful Juliette. She's just gorgeous.

Engels how's the ankle? It's so frustrating I know being overdue but you are so nearly there now!

Going well here. After some initial difficulty with bfing things finally clicked and am bfing on demand. Flora is a little and often girl so feeds at least once an hour in the day which can be quite intense. Luckily at night she generally goes for longer and we usually get 3-4 hours sleep from 11pm bedtime then a second block of 1-3 hours, although tonight I have clearly jinxed it by telling someone that!

I love being a mum though - there are few feelings to beat your baby's warm little body snuggled sleeping on your chest.

3-4cm yesterday so mw coming in a few hours to break my waters. Very relieved. ..ottherwise I would have had to wait until Sunday or Monday. 40+12 and the end is finally in sight.

FranksBobot · 09/01/2015 08:30

I'm so glad I popped on here this morning! That is fantastic news Calling
Hope everything goes well, looking forward to finally hearing about little ones much anticipated arrival!

I have a neonatal nurse coming around to check charlotte today as she still isn't back to her birth weight and still has a tinge of jaundice. We aren't to concerned as she seems happy and healthy in herself just midwife thinks it's best to get her seen again. She had us spend 5 hours in paediatric assessment unit last week for the same reason and after bloods etc the docs were happy she was fine and sent us home.

Yay he's finally here! Well done Engels and congratulations to you and your family. Rest up as much as you can and enjoy the newborn snuggles.

CoventGarden75 · 10/01/2015 19:27

No internet, only 3G on phone Angry

penguin she looks so comfy and peaceful.

engels congrats, that's brilliant news. Welcome baby boy!

We've had a few screaming crisis, especially early evening, that was very scary.

How many nappies do you go through in a day?

basgetti · 10/01/2015 21:36

Congratulations Calling that's great news, hope you are recovering well.

Lovely pics Covent and Penguin x

FranksBobot · 16/01/2015 21:52

How is everyone?
Can't believe my little lady is a month old tomorrow! Crazy stuff but loving every single second.
We are finally over the worst of the jaundice and back on track weight wise so have been discharged from midwife care although still have a neonatal outreach nurse who monitors the SBR level for jaundice.
Thought I would share a pic with you all as it's been a while!

Sorry I meant Frank! xx

CoventGarden75 · 17/01/2015 12:36

franks & basgetti wonderful pics Smile

a bit dishearten here, i've taken Juliette to nursery rhymes and stay & play activities hoping to find some playmates for her, but really, all the other babies are much older and already able to walk. Looks like newborns are just kept at home Sad.

hope all is good for you all x

StrawbsAndCream · 20/01/2015 21:56

Hi ladies, it's been a while! Loving all the photos, I can't believe they're as old as they are..it's going so fast! A has started to smile properly in the last few days.. Managed to catch it yesterday!
I miss chatting with you all, would anyone fancy a Facebook group? I think it would be easier to keep up with each other, that's if you don't mind our real identities being revealed Grin

I know what you mean covent we go to baby group on a Thursday and A is by far the youngest there!

Hope everyone's doing well and not too sleep deprived!! X
