Congratulations Penguin Flora is gorgeous and such a lovely name!

Here is Albie born yesterday (13th) at 3.32am 7lb9.5oz..so much for huge baby! He's doing really well, looks the spitting image of his Daddy! Obviously the most beautiful thing I've ever seen Grin Currently feeding like a trooper. Can't believe he's mine, feeling quite overwhelmed, have only had 1/2 hours sleep since Thursday night! Emotionally and physically exhausted but he's worth it.

Lots of love and luck to everyone, will catch up when I can!

Congratulations strawbs ! He's beautiful!

MrsFtn · 14/12/2014 21:16

Ahh congratulations strawbs he's gorgeous! Been hoping everything was ok with you. And wow I thought I was sleep deprived!

We've finally decided on a name for our little boy... Elijah Ray Featon - we chose Ray as his middle name after DH's dad who passed away 2 years ago so it feels quite special

Shanels · 14/12/2014 23:10

Congratulations strawbs! What a lovely name.
It's my first franks so a bit nervous about the unknown , the recovery and the nerves in the theatre. I guess it's normal. I've had my pre-op assessment and mrsa swabs etc. Been given stomach tablets for antacid too.

The info I have says you tend to stay from 2-4 days depending on your progress. Let's see... I have to call in on Weds morning and find out when my slot is- there is a poss that it can be postponed too.

basgetti · 15/12/2014 02:21

Congratulations Strawbs he is gorgeous, and great name!

Lovely name MrsFtn, and the special meaning behind it.

Can't sleep, keep being sick, need something to happen soon! Hope all those still waiting are doing okay xx

CallingAllEngels · 15/12/2014 10:19

Love the name Mrsftn . We have our first name choices (Seth or Lara) but haven't settled on middle (will be 2 - dh family tradition). Last time we each chose one and one was very English and one very Dutch.

Have been up half the night with ds who has a fever. Just back from doctors who couldn't find any sign of thraot, lung or ear infection but he's not himself and possiboy a bit constipated. So sofa day it is (good job as it's chucking it down outside).

I had a really weird dream that my waters broke but they started squirting out of my belly button!

Hoping thrush clears up in the next few days (2nd bout this pg and horrible Xmas Sad ) and then baby can come.

So who has cs booked for Wed - shanels and franks ?

Hope baby comes soon so you can feel better basgetti . Who else is still waiting?

MrsFtn · 15/12/2014 12:54

Double celebrations on Wednesday then! I think I would have made the same decision as you Shanels I put off my induction until they said my cervix was really favourable as I was worried about it not working and needing emergency cs. At least if it's planned it will be nice and calm and you will probably have more of a say in what goes on.

Have any of us had a spontaneous labour yet or have we all been induced or cs?

basgetti I really hope your baby gets a wriggle on so you can have an end to all your sickness. Was your first pregnancy like this? I hope it all stops once you deliver

basgetti · 15/12/2014 13:16

Yes MrsFtn also had HG with DS, but it had mainly eased off by 24 weeks. This time has been about ten times worse, I haven't even been able to reduce or come off my medication at any point. My ketones were quite high last night and I was tempted to ring hospital but I've managed to eat and drink this morning so am just seeing how I go, sipping fat coke and nibbling salty crisps. I gave up any thoughts of healthy eating long ago!

Sorry both you and DS are suffering Calling, enjoy your cosy day on the sofa. We didn't leave the house all weekend, was lovely!

ftn lovely name and great way to remember DH's dad.

interesting dream engels Grin

basgetti Flowers and hugs, you're such a hero and deserve a medal.

franks and shanels you're so close now, exciting.

i've been trying to arrange a 2nd sweep since friday, finally got an appointment for tomorrow late afternoon. Getting uncomfortable today, nothing to do with the fact that i cook and eat all day long despite the limited space Wink.

do you have family and friends asking for news every day? my mum is driving me nuts, basically telling me to hurry up with the birth Shock and her computer needs fixing, now.

40+4

Shanels · 15/12/2014 19:02

basgetti eat what you can now like you said after all you've been through. Not long now....

calling yes weds is the day hopefully- I've had thrush since day 1 and never got better and was told it will stop after pregnancy. Hope urs is okay though.

Thanks mrsftn I hope ur right and I can find the calm.

Good luck with your sweep tomorrow covent- you might be in labour on Weds too....! :) I never thought I would get annoyed with all my loved ones asking if the baby had arrived, but I have to say it's driving me crazy. I know they mean well but....

My bump has been tightening all day today and have been very uncomfortable so an early night for me. I'm going to be up all night anyway.

Happy vibes to all and me! I keep getting moments of anxiety attacks.

MrsFtn · 16/12/2014 21:35

Hope you get a good sleep tonight franks and shanels be thinking of you tomorrow. Can't wait to hear your birth announcements Xmas Smile

MrsFtn · 16/12/2014 21:37

Did you have another sweep today covent? Hope it was easier if you did Flowers

Penguin13 · 16/12/2014 22:39

Argh I have been desperate to post and thinking of you all but newborn babies are very demanding creatures!!

Congratulations and well done Strawbs he is just perfect. Love all the pics. Am with you on the sleep deprivation!

Mrs unless you count sweeps my labour was spontaneous in the end. When they sent me home on thurs night and said they would induce on Fri morning I had an inkling that I wouldn't need the induction and since I was 6 cm when I returned at around 2am they could see things were progressing fast enough not to be induced.

Good luck tomorrow Franks and Shanels! Can't wait to see pics.

FranksBobot · 17/12/2014 01:13

ARGHHHHHHH I'M HOPEFULLY HAVING MY BABY TODAY!

Can't sleep far too excited, now nil by mouth so resisting the urge to pig out on chocolates.
Good luck Shanels I'll be thinking of you whilst lying there! How freaky would it be if we went in at same time!

Basgetti sod healthy eating, you've had 9 months of constant sickness and it's nearly christmas. No other reasons needed.

Penguin newborns just don't understand the importance of MN-ing do they?!

Good luck to all those having sweeps etc soon. Hopefully my next update will be announcing baby frankettes arrival Grin EEK!

Penguin13 · 17/12/2014 03:06

Apparently newborns do now understand the importance of MNing, it's the only explanation for them deciding to cluster feed at night. At least tonight it's not accompanied by screaming Smile

So excited for you Franks. Good luck and hope everything goes really well!!!!

CoventGarden75 · 17/12/2014 03:30

Good luck franks & shanels, will be thinking of you Flowers

I've had 2nd sweep, mw said I can still go swimming, so might go in the morning if I'm awake. She also suggested labour ward for closer monitoring instead of birth centre, a bit confused now.

StrawbsAndCream · 17/12/2014 05:01

Hey penguin same here! A has been cluster feeding from 1am until now, same as last night..but he slept almost all of the day yesterday! Little monkey. My milk has well and truly come in, it's so nice to see it dribbling down his chin! Had my day 3 of crying yesterday and am feeling quite anxious but that's probs my normal anxiety mixed with hormones, stitches are quite sore too (had to have episiotomy) and still can't quite believe he's mine!! What a world wind of emotions! We need a post natal thread for those rare times they allow us to MN Grin

Good luck franks and shanels!!

Thinking of everyone xx

CallingAllEngels · 17/12/2014 12:43

Eagerly awaiting news of latest babies!

Ended up taking DS back to doctor yesterday after a horrible night and continued temp of 40+. Prescribed ABs which have worked and we both slept last night and he's back to his normal self, plus potty training has worked so am very happy right now.

Thrush seems to have cleared up as well. MW tomorrow to see if baby has decided to engage yet or not.

Congratulations Franks she is beautiful! Another lovely name too. Hope you are recovering well xx

Any luck from the sweep Covent? Hope things are starting for you at last.

Good luck with the MW Calling.

I'm getting contractions every 15 minutes at the moment, hoping it's the start of things! Probably another false alarm though and I'll be back here later for a moan xx

CallingAllEngels · 18/12/2014 13:25

Beautiful franks - congratulations!

Eek to contractions basgetti !

Twiddling thumbs, mw appt in 2 hours and hoping something starts soon. Felt like baby head butted my cervix earlier!

CoventGarden75 · 18/12/2014 15:01

She's beautiful franks congratulations Smile Flowers.

shanels i hope all went well for you. Waiting for your news.

basgetti let's hope it's the real thing happening for you this time.

calling good to hear DS is feeling better, and good luck with mw appt.

2nd sweep didn't trigger anything. I've just had my 41 week appointment. All is fine with baby, but estimated @ 8lb4. I've had 3rd sweep today, a bit rougher than the other 2 Shock. If nothing happens till then, induction is booked for monday (originally offered for wednesday 24th @41+6) so that would mean labour ward and forgetting about the water birth plan.

Wishing all the new mums lots of baby cuddles and a speedy recovery.
