Congrats franks she's gorgeous! And well done to you! :)))

I had a bit of an ordeal- waters broke at 1am on Tues which kicked off my contractions quite quickly but cervix wouldn't dilate so had to have csection; had baby Sophia Nazen at 12.10am Weds 17th Dec. xxx no matter what happens, it's all worth it in the end. Good luck covent the last aggressive sweep helped me

Shanels · 20/12/2014 09:18

Congrats shanels she's beautiful. Huge welcome to Sophia Flowers

basgetti you haven't been back to moan Grin i hope it's good news and that you're ok.

has anybody heard from cakes or drfunkes it's been ages since their last post.

calling is it just you and me left behind then?

41+2 and no sign whatsoever, my parents arrive in a week, so much for time to adjust and recover Confused

CoventGarden75 · 20/12/2014 11:19

yuk! i've just lost the plug, that's gross Shock

FranksBobot · 20/12/2014 12:01

Congratulations Shanels Sophia is gorgeous!

Eeek exciting times Covent fingers crossed its a sign baby will soon be in your arms. Clearly your moan about no signs worked!!

Fingers crossed all is well Basgetti and you've been too busy with baby to come back and moan.

I keep looking at Charlotte and feeling in absolute awe. Her big sister is being fab and DP is an absolute star. Unfortunately we've had major issues breast feeding, she just can't get the hang of latching on and gets too frustrated to then calm down and do anything. I've been expressing and she's taking that but last night my milk came in and I'm badly engorged that I can't express very well so had to top her up with formula. Feeling a bit disappointed but hoping the midwife im waiting for will reassure me rather than make me feel worse.

Hope everyone else is getting on better. Sorry for the moan Brew

Hi all, baby Evelyn as born yesterday morning just before 5am, weighing 7lb 2. The birth was a bit traumatic, my ketosis effected progress and I ended up having an epidural at about 8cm, and when she finally came out the placenta and membranes got stuck. All was well in the end though, she is absolutely gorgeous and my sickness stopped instantly!

Congrats Shanel she is lovely. Hope you are recovering well.

Good luck Covent, hopefully you will get to meet your baby soon!

I will upload a picture later, just wanted to quickly update now I'm home as couldn't get online in hospital. Hope all the new babies are doing well xxx

CoventGarden75 · 20/12/2014 16:35

congrats basgetti sorry to hear the birth was difficult but hurrah you are now sickness free Brew & Cake, and welcome to evelyn

franks i hope the mw was helpful, is there any breastfeeding support group in your area? hopefully charlotte will get the hang of it soon.

basgetti · 20/12/2014 17:07

Congratulations Basgetti gorgeous photo! Big brother looks so proud. Pleased to hear your sickness has finally vanished.

Midwife was an absolute star, said to carry on as I am as it's more important baby is fed rather than how she's fed. Funnily enough an hour later although still majorly swollen and in agony expressing got a lot easier so Charlotte is now having breast milk from bottles. Happy baby = happy mummy Grin

Congrats shanels and basgetti !

Sounds like you're going to beat me to it covent ! Nada here. 39w tomorrow and utterly fed up. My parents arrive NYE from England and think they're going go be heading back without seeing baby at this rate.

FranksBobot · 22/12/2014 21:51

I'm hoping the lack of updates means more December babies are being born!
Sending lots of Cake and Brew to everyone

Awww basgetti sweet pic.

franks I hope breastfeeding is going well now.

engels any luck?

In short: nothing is happening here.
Hospital didn't have space for induction planned for today, they'll call when something is available. Maybe tomorrow. Having said that, baby has now messed up her birthday forever so she might as well make it very special, like 24 or 25. While I'm still hoping for labour to start naturally and still very calm and relaxed about the whole thing not my normal self

Good night all x

41+4 (closer to 41+5 really)

CallingAllEngels · 23/12/2014 09:56

Nothing here covent . I am thoroughly fed up!

39+2 and mw appt tomorrow.

FranksBobot · 23/12/2014 10:07

Currently exclusively expressing, have had a blocked duct on the left which caused huge problems but thankfully after some super hot baths and a lot of massaging it unplugged and I have deflated!! Unfortunately it now seems the right side has decided to block up Sad I never had this much trouble with dd1.

Covent & Calling maybe you will be our very own Christmas Day babies. Just remember they can't stay in there forever!

I'm going to attempt a walk to the shops later. Feel guilty as I ate all the toffee fingers out of the quality streets and they are DPs favourites. Can't wait to have a go of my pram Grin

How frustrating about the induction Covent, but well done on staying so calm and relaxed. I think your baby is waiting to make a special xmas day entrance!

Sorry you are still waiting too Calling, have you had any twinges at all? My labour started 39+4 and she arrived 39+5, second baby like you so hopefully you won't have to wait much longer.

Enjoy your outing Franks, I took baby out yesterday morning. Was lovely to get out but I forgot how difficult day 3 can be so think maybe I pushed it a bit soon. Going to have a few cosy days indoors now! Take it steady.

Hope all new babies and Mums are doing well xxx

CallingAllEngels · 23/12/2014 10:52

Started having a few twinges at the weekend - dull period pain which could be cervix getting ready.

Had DS at 39+4...which would be Christmas day if baby follows the same schedule!

Take it easy basgetti !

Franks I am currently sat on the sofa eating doritos and moving onto Christmas shortbread shortly Xmas Smile

CoventGarden75 · 23/12/2014 20:16

franks blocked duck sounds painful Hmm . Hope you enjoyed your walk (& pram) and got some more chocolates before DP found out what you did Grin

basgetti get some rest!

engels that would be great if our babies crossed the finish line on the same day. Fx things are progressing for you.

In hospital, cervix was still closed so induction started at 2pm, they'll check me again tomorrow (24h later, if nothing happens til then). I'm not allowed to go home until baby arrives.

Shanels · 24/12/2014 02:44

Goos luck covent thinking of you xx

CallingAllEngels · 24/12/2014 14:47

fx everything is moving along covent

Had mw today and baby is engaged. Booked in for sweep next Tuesday at 40+2 if nothing's happened by then.

Merry Christmas everyone Xmas Smile

CoventGarden75 · 24/12/2014 22:59

Sorry to moan on Xmas eve Hmm, induction is not going well. I've been in hospital for 30+ hours. Contractions (felt in my lower back) but cervix still closed. Being monitored again in 3 hours. I've had enough now. 42 weeks in one hour.

Merry Xmas everyone SmileSmileSmileSmilex

FranksBobot · 24/12/2014 23:39

Sorry to hear induction not going to plan Covent I can truly sympathise as same happened with DD1. Try and remain positive, baby will soon be in your arms. fingers crossed your cervix starts playing ball soon!

From my home to all of yours, we wish you all a very Happy Christmas. Xmas Smile

CallingAllEngels · 25/12/2014 13:15

Hoping that you have a baby by now covent ! Sorry it's been so long and dragged out.

DH just putting lamb in the oven so baby has to stay put for the next few hours.

39+4.....this stage with DS I was in labour at the birth centre and just about to start pushing.

CoventGarden75 · 25/12/2014 13:32

Thanks franks & engels
Still nothing, 3rd attempt failed. Now waiting for doctor to discuss what's next. I'm very emotional and reaching breaking point for no particular reason. Being monitored and baby is happy Smile. Hope you're all enjoying a lovely xmas day. X

CallingAllEngels · 25/12/2014 14:41

I'm not surprised you're emotional covent Xmas Sad Sending you a big hug and hoping things get moving very soon.

Shanels · 25/12/2014 17:59

Oh *covent sending you lots of patience. That's what my cervix did! Baby will be here soon somehow though and maybe today on Xmas day you'll receive your little girl.
Look forward to hearing your goid news.
Good luck engels to you too
Happy Christmas to everyone else!
