I want some..... Our co op has none, I am not happy

BanglesSpangles · 11/07/2014 20:36

Ooh that ice cream sounds amazing!

Currently having the journey from hell home- delays at every turn- on the final leg now, after dragging my suitcase around the tube and trying not to cry a little bit. OH has ordered curry though, so every cloud and all that

freneticfox · 11/07/2014 20:48

Got a Tesco or an ASDA nearby? Got ours in Tesco, my friend who told us about it in ASDA.

Yep, I've apparently reached the age where buying ice cream is a hot topic.

Sorry you're having such a rubbish journey Bangles, hope you get home soon.

Evening all, packing at the moment for a fortnight away in our caravan, the car is rammed! I'm not entirely sure that I will actually manage to fit DH, DS and the two dogs in there, but we have the van stored about half a mile away so their uncomfortable journey at least will be short. Once we get to the storage we can transfer a lot of the stuff into the caravan and then just keep the things that we want to have to hand in the car.

Hope everyone is having a good friday night, the ice cream sounds, great, I've been ruthlessly emptying out the freezers this week, so there is almost nothing in here thats tasty to eat :o

Memphisbelly · 11/07/2014 22:23

Jack have a fantastic time away and hoping weather is great for you.

Im having an enotional night, my baby boy is 4 tomorrow I have just been on fb looking back at his baby pics, so precious. Funny the things I didnt notice back then but do now in the back ground nappies, infacol, moses basket and a little weeny vest on chair we have all this to come again! Smile

lawyeredout82 · 12/07/2014 07:03

Morning everyone from sunny Greece!

I am getting a bit impatient as I haven't got my booking in appointment with the midwife until 21st and have been told that only then will they allocate me a first scan date! I will be nearly 12w at booking in so wondering whether to pay for a private scan as we are dying to tell friends and family. It's my best friend's engagement party on 2 August and I just know she will guess if I am not drinking so want to make sure we tell family the (hopefully) good news in advance of then. Sigh.

By the way, has anyone else gone completely off meat? I cannot bear the sight of it, it makes me want to heave. I have basically been limited to pasta, tzatziki and bread and Greek salad for the last two weeks!

bellaboo88 · 12/07/2014 08:49

Lawyer I'm completely off meat - only thing I can manage is ham. Smell of chicken sausages burgers or bacon cooking is gross!!

I'm still delicate first thing eating my brekkie slowly but yesterday I didn't have ms :-)

Xx

freneticfox · 12/07/2014 10:53

That's awesome bella, fingers crossed you've weathered the worst of it.

I'm feeling a bit emotional today, I've been so upset with feeling so rubbish that I didn't stop to think it was a good sign... now I feel almost completely normal and I'm so worried. I don't feel at all pregnant. Boobs are fine, no nausea, etc. Still have three weeks until my dating scan, it's going to be a long old wait :(

Bearsinmotion · 12/07/2014 10:54

Ha, I'm almost veggie (DP is strict veggie, I was but lapsed!) so I only have meat once a month or so normally - now craving it! Especially the things I can't have, like pepparami cured meats!

Mmm, bacon!

donkir · 12/07/2014 10:57

So far I'm not enjoying the whole pregnancy thing. Just constantly thinking about everything I can't have or can't do. This morning I went to my bootcamp class that I've been doing since jan and struggled so much I had to sit out for a bit. Got race for life next week god knows how I'm going to manage!

jenmcspen · 12/07/2014 11:19

My ms is better some days than others, but this morning couldn't keep water down first thing Sad Back in bed trying to nibble on biscuits. Fed up.

LittleMissSunshine33 · 12/07/2014 12:05

Lawyer I am off meats unless covered in sauce its the smell of it cooking that turns my stomach!

Had a strange what must be a craving this week I really felt the need for Turkish delight but not in a bar the ones in a hexagon box covered in icing sugar...or what ever it is. When I couldn't find it in Tesco I almost cried!

I also laughed so much last night that I ended up crying as I stood up I had forgot I had undone my trousers and as I walked up the stairs they fell down but I laughed so much I then just sat crying! So weird but it amuses OH!

bellaboo88 · 13/07/2014 09:56

Ladies, I was just reading up on ways to predict gender for fun.

One way was to pee on one tablespoon of baking soda to test acidity - boy is fizzing and girl has no reaction. Its only for fun tho. Anyone fancy having a go? I miss peeing on sticks!!

Xx

freneticfox · 13/07/2014 11:07

bella I miss peeing on sticks too! I don't think we have any baking soda though... think DH would think I've finally lost it ;)

9+5 today. Definitely noticing an improvement in the nausea and my boobs aren't torpedoes of pain. I am however peeing every 10 minutes. Hoping that's a good sign, I'd at least like one pregnancy symptom!

OP posts:
Burmama · 13/07/2014 12:57

Wish I had some baking soda to try that! I have a fairly strong feeling it's a girl... No idea why. Anyone else playing guessing games?

fluffymouse · 13/07/2014 13:26

Lol bella that sounds truly nut. And peeing on tablespoons doesn't seem very hygienic either.

I'm still feeling sick, and getting slightly anxious I haven't heard anything about a booking appointment yet.

Private ultrasound in a weeks time.

pillowaddict · 13/07/2014 13:31

I had to have a trip to ooh doc last night with tummy pains, suspected UTI so got antibiotics but still in some pain. The Dr said he'd have preferred I had a scan as I've not had one yet but should be ok. Trying not to worry and resting with a hot water bottle but feeling crap, and have a work trip to leave for tonight. Sad

LittleMissSunshine33 · 13/07/2014 17:17

Oh no pillow must of been scary hope you're ok!

Bella that sounds fun but I wouldn't want to ruin my teaspoon!
You could also tie your wedding ring (or a special ring) to some thread, hang it over your stomach and if it moves in circles it's a boy if it goes side to side it's a girl!

bbcargill · 13/07/2014 17:36

Just joined, nice to hear (not really nice though...) that others are still having ridiculous nausea like me....can't wait to enjoy food again :o)

Memphisbelly · 13/07/2014 19:18

Also been off meat here too. But just fancied a roast so had roast beef st a pub and it was lovely, dh was pleased as its the most I have eaten in weeks.
We have just got back from our 2 days in London, had a stitch type pain all weekend, got to hotel late to find they had messed up the rooms and no families rooms,we booked 2 months ago, we were shattered after an 18 hour day, the gave us free drinks while we waited to be found a room elsewhere, in the end I ended up crying apparently the double rooms didnt have a sofa or we would have made a bed on that so they rang manager and he said put us in a double with a matress on floor for ds and full refund. I was so worked up I got no sleep so am shattered today.
I realised today I have totally forgot all the foods apart from brie and pate that we can't eat (although I ate pate last time) I really fancy liver and although guidlines used to say to eat it apparently its a no no now, surely a one off is ok?

freneticfox · 13/07/2014 20:35

Memphis I have no idea... but I know some women completely ignore the warnings and eat whatever.... then they go on to have perfectly healthy pregnancies, so hey. :)

We're off on a forest/cabin break tomorrow with a couple of friends, I'm hoping that a few days away will be good for me! My head's all over the place at the moment. My nausea is mostly easing apart from a few waves if I get hungry and my boobs don't hurt at all now. I just don't feel pregnant. Except I'm piling on weight (not eating a huge amount though). So feeling unpregnant, frumpy and miserable.

Yep, I'm a downer today :(

BanglesSpangles · 13/07/2014 20:54

Evening one and all

I wee'd all over my hand aiming for the pregnancy test so the teaspoon test sounds like a logistical nightmare for me!

fluffy how far along are you? I wonder if the letters might wait til nearer the time of the appointment... Still, my impatient side would be calling to find out!

Meat seems to be making me queasy too!- strange stuff- had chicken for dinner about four hours ago and its still sitting a little bit too high up in my system for my liking (Bargh!)

memphis ive paid very little attention to the food guidelines apart from the liver one- something about having too much vitamin a- seemed to be the only guideline that seemed to be sensible, rather than a scare tactic, but that said, surely once in 9 months isnt going to hurt??

And hugs frenetic - pretty sure we're all having our wobbles- i certainly have/am, but bet a couple of days chilling out away from reality will be just what's needed :)
