U lot r crazy, I was thinking a yoghurt pot washed out & dispose of immediately after use!!

This is crazy but I'm certain shrimpy is anchored on my right hand side towards the front & shrimpys a boy. Instinct?! I'm happy to play the games. There's another with boiled cabbage water.

Hope ur trip goes well fox.

Sorry to hear of awful hotel mix up (preggo brain - names forgotten!!)

As if ur all talking about food! I'm uber picky still, chrisps are my safe food - never bring them back up! Xx

Memphisbelly · 13/07/2014 21:27

GeekyHybrid · 13/07/2014 21:31

Hi all, the good news is I seem to be getting some energy back, well, yesterday. I spent the whole day on my feet at a flower fair doing promotion for work then tidied the house and did ironing whilst OH had his stag night. Today I haven't done a lot and needed a nap at 3pm! The nausea is definitely better, only really kicks in if I let myself get hungry which isn't very often though I'm not snacking non-stop like I was. Just as well, got bit of a 'tum' developing.

fluffy I'm 10 weeks now and haven't got my scan date either so I'm chasing it, I did call Friday but it was the person I need to contact's day off so I'll be on the phone again Monday. I'm really keen to get the scan done so I can tell people, especially before the hen night in 2 weeks. I'm going to have to tell them by then but would rather do it with a scan under my belt. It is frustrating. frenetic I hope you feel better tomorrow. Bangles I agree with you on aiming ability so I shall be giving it a miss, I quite like the idea of a surprise anyway. Have a great week everyone.

BanglesSpangles · 14/07/2014 07:48

Haha bella that makes so much more sense!!

Burmama · 14/07/2014 09:01

Just did the wedding ring test, it went side to side and then in circles. Hmm Hmm think there might be some limits to its scientific accuracy [gives up and eats Snickers ice cream for breakfast]

freneticfox · 14/07/2014 09:40

Morning all, I'm off on my hols today (merry old Norfolk...) Hope you all have a great week and are feeling glowy for the right reasons! :)

Morning all! Hope you've all been feeling ok this weekend :)
frenetic I'm glad you are starting to feel better! Lot's of people start to feel better around your stage. I'm hoping I do, although my ms only really started last week so maybe I'm going to be a late one :(

Speaking of morning sickness, I had my first official preggo vom yesterday morning! Felt quite proud of myself, like it was a rite of passage. I've been lucky in that I haven't been feeling too bad, just occasionally I'll get a huge and very sudden wave of nausea. Yesterday it was so bad I heaved my breakfast all over the patio :(

Memphisbelly · 14/07/2014 13:51

Hope you all are having a good start to the week, ds has a raging temp, hoping it is due to such a busy weekend and he is just rundown

GeekyHybrid · 14/07/2014 18:34

Poor hanflan, hope it doesn't get any worse and starts to improve soon. Good luck with ds Memphis, can't imagine dealing with an ill child as well as feeling like I do half the time!

Unfortunately for me my local ante-natal seem intent on driving up my blood pressure. When I called about scan on Friday I was given the number for someone but told she was day off and to chase Monday. Called today and her phone informed me she's on annual leave until 21st July. Mega-grrr. Spoke to ante-natal general reception who basically said see what happens at your booking in and when I pressed them on waiting times for the scan it sounds like I'll be lucky to get one before the wedding, let alone before the hen night. She seemed to think waiting until 16 weeks for a dating scan was 'normal'. I can't wait that long to tell people. Yeesh. Fingers crossed for a sensible mw on Wednesday who can get things moving.

FlightofFancy · 14/07/2014 19:48

geeky that sounds like a nightmare - do you have a midwife yet who you can ask? If it's any help, i had booking in appointment at 9-10 weeks ish and had letter through the post with scan appointment a few days later, and I'll be just over 12 weeks or thereabouts.

Annoyingly, the first time i was given for scan is a day I'm the other end of the country for work - and the letter gives really dire warnings about how busy they are and changing times being really inconvenient etc. so had to ring up and grovel - but now DH might not be able to make the new time. It's not the end of the world but he's a bit disappointed. We might get a private scan as well if he can't, but they're really expensive here (£100) so he may just have to wait till 20 weeks!

I'm also noticing a drop off in symptoms some days (luckily i don't get sickness) and have a little more energy - hopefully all to do with coming up to 12 weeks!

Memphisbelly · 14/07/2014 19:50

Geeky expain situation re scan/wedding/hen to mw.....cry, this scares them Grin and hopefully she will call them during appointment, they can do it it is weather they are pushed to call.

I feel quite positive today, managed to make a proper tea tonight (am yet to eat it) that doesn't involve oven chips or fish fingers and have a load of cakes to take into nursery tomorrow cooking in the oven...a first on the baking front for months, I had a 90 min nap today but apart from that I think I may be almost normal again.

I weigh less than dh for first time ever too, there is no hiding bump now so am in hiding until wednesday!

Surf25 · 14/07/2014 21:49

Hi everyone, just checking in and catching up on the news.

Very sorry to read tori and spandex have had such sad news, take care and all the best and hope you have lots of folk in rl to care for you both.

And I hope you have an understanding mw and manage to get a scan organised soon, geeky. Counting down the sleeps until mine - a week today. Have had to tell a couple of folk at work due to sickness but otherwise kept it quiet. Feel like I'm showing but hard to know! Hope folk who are off on hols have a relaxing break

angeltattoo · 14/07/2014 22:04

Hello lovelies,

I've had an uneventful booking in appt, am low risk and booked for the local MLU.

Just waiting for my scan date now. Am 9+2 so hopefully it will coem soon.

I felt much brighter yesterday, and worried that this plus pink spotting was a concern, but MS was back today and spotting stopped.

Come the evening I am so bloated that I look very pregnant.

bbcargill · 14/07/2014 22:05

Anybody else having cramping? So far I've been told that it's normal as long as their is no bleeding, which I haven't had. I have had really bad cramping after running or over-doing it, so I have limited my exercise to walking just now....bummer. Had an 8 wk scan and all looked fine. Any body else feeling the cramps?? Thanks!

angeltattoo · 14/07/2014 22:05

Watching oneborn, eek!

Memphisbelly · 14/07/2014 22:18

Bbcargill try not to worry around then I had period type pains, and had it again the other dY, think it is quite normal as things are stretching and moving to make way for a growing baby.

Memphisbelly · 14/07/2014 22:20

Angeltattoo I love that program! Is it last weeks? The lady with 4 under 4? They looked so unbelievably happy was so sweet but I don't know where they got the time or energy from with all that work to DTD Grin

LondonBOB · 14/07/2014 22:31

Hi ladies, my first post. Am into week 10 this week. Am not believing it until I'm @ least 13 wks. My younger sis had 2 m/cs so I know how fragile it can all be. My work is c demanding and I'm on point to lead a lot, which is so hard when all you want to do is sleep and eat. I'm lucky no puking yet, just upset tummy feeling a lot. Emotions have been running high, had full on melt down last week.
Saw dr. 2 weeks ago, brought in my own pee but she didn't even check it. Is that normal? Just said if I'd missed period and down a HPT then I as preg. Anyways still have no appt for either booking appt or first scan. Should it take this long?

angeltattoo · 15/07/2014 07:27

Yes Memphis, I thought that couple were really lovely, genuine people.

Welcome BOB, most booking in appointments are between 8-12 weeks, if you're 10 weeks and haven't hear you should chase it, by contacting GP and/or midwife team. Congratulations and welcome Smile

BanglesSpangles · 15/07/2014 08:10

Morning all and welcome bob

Geeky that sounds like a nightmare-16 weeks is a crazy amount of time to wait, especially if you wanted to keep it a secret until after the scan.

Going on a hen weekend on Friday, and still haven't told ANYONE! We were always going to tell parents and siblings after booking in appointment on Wednesday (am actually feeling a bit nervous!) but now my four best friends on the hen will have to be told on Friday before they guess what with the not drinking and all. Would have rather waited till the scan but needs must in this case.

Am I alone in feeling really coy about telling people?!

Memphisbelly · 15/07/2014 08:50

I am desperate to tell people, due to having a few problems first time round most people knew at 8 weeks last time (wondering why I was in hospital for weeks and dh was off work etc) ths time dh doesn't want many people to know until ds finds out at scan tomorrow, I feel like its second baby and no one cares, I am desperate to tell everyone, oh well mot long to wait until tomorrow afternoon

donkir · 15/07/2014 09:39

Scan 2 weeks today and I'm counting down the days, hours and minutes. It seems to be going so slowly. Good luck to everyone who has theirs coming up soon.

NowThenMardyBum · 15/07/2014 13:18

Hiya all, not posted since my initial post but have been lurking.

Had my dating scan yesterday! It was initially booked for the end of July due to a mistake but I called and got it changed- just couldn't wait! I'm struggling to keep things quiet as already got a belly going on so now we can start to tell people. My work already knew as they have to for H+S because of the type of job I do but we have kept it from family until after the scan.

We told my PIL yesterday which was amusing as my SIL had their 3rd grandchild on Saturday so they were gobsmacked! We are holding off telling SIL and rest of my husbands family for a couple of weeks so that they can have their new baby time. We will tell my mum +sis etc this week which I am quite excited about as I don't think they will have a clue!

DD was a star and managed to fall asleep on the way to the hospital, napped through the scan in her pushchair and woke up as I was putting her back into the car- perfect! Much to our relief we saw our lovely little baby (and just the one- phew) and all looks well. I was dated a little further on at 11+4 which gives the EDD as 29.01.15. EEK!!

All seems a little more real now, and doesn't seem that long until we will have another little one around!

Hope you are all going well and some of the sickness is starting to settle (I have enjoyed my first morning cuppa in about 6 weeks- went completely off it much to my horror!)

freneticfox · 15/07/2014 14:06

Found some Internet in the Norfolk wilderness!

Totally sulking today DH and our friends are partaking in activities that I cannot. Horrible feeling I'll be spending most of this week alone :(

Frenetic try and enjoy the peace and quiet a bit, what sort of things are they doing that you can't do?

Nowthenmardybum.....nice that they have put you further along, I hope they do me at my scan tomorrow. Are you from the midlands? Never heard anyone say the word Mardy anywhere but where I live Grin so your name made me laugh
